All,
I'm trying to tweak my Galaxy Tab with ADW EX and Desktop Visualizer. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to create a shortcut to a specific screen ie screen 1,2,3,4.... with Desktop Visualizer.
I know how to create a shortcut in ADW EX to a specific screen, but can't figure out how to do it in Desktop Visualizer.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Create shortcuts in ADW EX to specific screens, remove icons and text from them and place them under Desktop Visualizer widgets (allow widgets overlapping option in ADW EX should be selected).
I accomplished mine without using desktop visualizer since I couldnt figure out a way to do it with it. I did it by going to Launcher actions > Screen 2 (as an example) and then deleting the text and changing the icon to transparent. I also removed the glow from the icons so you dont see each individual icon when you press one.
Note: I put the "button" on the wallpaper and then this over top to make it work properly.

Joedoe,
I created the ADW EX shortcut with the specific screen. I can remove the text, but when you click on the icons, it forced you to pick an icon. How did you remove the icons.
Also, I check the overlapping option in ADW, but I don't understand how this can effect Desktop Visualizer. Can you please explain?
Thanks!

Use a blank transparent image as an icon. Put the Desktop Visualizer widget next to ADW shortcut and resize it to cover the shortcut.
Hello, I want to hide icon of app in Android.
which launcher?
for most of them, it is from home screen, menu button, preferences
If it's the icon in the App Drawer you want to hide, use a Launcher that allows you to do this. Launcher Pro does iirc.
If it's the icon on a Homescreen you just need to change the current one for one that's transparent..and most 3rd party Launchers allow you to do that. I've attached a transparent icon for you if you need it. Un-zip it, save it to your phone and either use your Launcher to edit the current icon or use an app called 'Desktop Visualizer' to do the same.
So I'm redoing my home screen, and I want to have a few text icons that take me directly to specific home screens. Apex launcher has action shortcuts for this, but they are only 1x1. I cannot use widgets to get these actions... I have to use shortcuts. I have done what I want with 1x1 shortcuts, but they are just too small for my taste. I really want 2x1 shortcuts. I have not been able to figure out how to make them with either Simple Text or Desktop Visualizer.
Any suggestions?
I have exactly the same question. Did you ever find a solution?
edit: I found a clunky work-around by taking advantage of the fact that Apex lets you overlap widgets. I made a totally hidden apex action shortcut by removing the shortcut text and using a transparent icon that I made with Simple Text (careful with these, because if you forget where they are on your homescreen they're hard to find!). Then I put a 2x1 Simple Text widget (that does nothing) over the top. The problem of course is that the shortcut only works if you press the 1x1 area where the apex action shortcut is!
Just want to modify the descriptions of the icon shortcuts (bookmarks) on the home screen. Dont want a new launcher, or even change the icon just the description.
Where is the icon data held?
so I am using Nova launcher and minimalistic text widget and I am making a theme where there are big blocks of clickable text. One of the things I would like to do is to open a app folder when i click on one of the text blocks. I was thinking I could just make a transparent widget or something above minimalistic text widget because it does not look like there is a way to do that with the app. Is there a way to resize folders with nova launcher? am I better off just using something like Simi folder and setting a big name for the folder and no icon or something?

I use folder organizer. Minimalistic text can choose folder options from that app under shortcuts. Its not idea, but it works.
