I just tried the sensor test using the dial code..proximity sensor shows 0..but as soon as i put my palm about an inch from the sensor..the whole screen changes to green, phone vibrates and prox sensor value shows 1...i also noticed that the light sensor value changes as i am moving my palm to and away from the light sensor.
Anyway..if you are having a phone call and when u put the phone towards your ears..the screen goes blank..that shows prox sensor is working.

In my case, unfortunately, does not the value 0. The screen is not green.
This is the Senor does not work, I noticed on the phone. The display stays on constantly.

Yes, switched on, is. I'm stumped.
Check the type of case you are using. I had an issue where I was face dialing while on the phone and it turned out that my case was covering the sensor. On the xperia it is on the front by the n in ericsson

Did you mean LCD wants to turn off or won't turn of?
Settings- Call- Turn On proximity sensor, tick or un tick to Enable or Disable the sensor.

So I've used the search bar and google
there are 4 circles at top
1. Ambient Light sensor
2. LED notification lights
3. ???
4. Proximity Sensor
so whats in between the earpiece and proximity sensor
also why dont apps recognize the ALS? I've used android sensor box, androsensors and my android sensors but still nothing. Though auto brightness works. I know, I move my finger over it and the screen gets dim

The last 2 sensors are for proximity i guess, cause even on my mini pro i have 2 circles for proximity. In the stock rom, it is never detected, its on by default. In roms like cm10, CM10.1 etc. you can choose whether to use it or not, change the different levels etc.
Well in mini pro its
Led, ambient sensor, camera, proximity.
Tbh, I think I have seen two dots instead of one for sensor. (Really hard to see)

Yep there are two sensors for proximity.
why are there 2 sensors for proximity? using the sensor apps I've noticed that only that the right most works the 3rd one doesnt really do anything when i cover it. but it works so I'm fine with that
but how come the apps dont detect the ambient light sensor? that too is obviously working because the screen dims when i hover over it
Try using the service menu and see if it works there

I have droid dna,recently i am facing a weired issue of proximity sensor.I mean sensor working flawlessly in good light condition(OUTDOOR) but when phone entered in Dark light condition sensor didn't work.After receiving the call display turned off but it won't turn on automatically after end the call,i have to push power switch to wake the phone ,any suggestion plz........

I use this on my DNA to fix the proximity sensor. After you open it, move both sliders to 100, then check the 'set on boot' box. Works great!

I am facing a strange problem with my LG V10, T-Mobile
When i call, the screen goes blank, and does not come back until i press the power button.
I installed AIDA64 and checked the status of the proximity sensor.
Its value is 5 as normal, it becomes 0 when i put finger on the proximity sensor.
The value of proximity sensor doesn't come back to 5 even after moving the finger away from the sensor.
Kindly help me to solve the issue.

Mobile telephone is Sony Xperia X (F5121).
I changed the display because it was broken and there are two problems.
1. The proximity sensor does not work. The display goes off when I start to dial. The only setting I've been able to do is to interrupt the call using the on / off button. From menu * # * # 7378423 # * # * and test-> proximity sensor, always sitting ON, how to do it OFF?
2. The display is working, but the touchscreen starting to interrupt and does not receive commands. It starts working when I press the display with the finger at the bottom and I have to keep pushing him with one finger to work. Disconnects the connection, possibly the tape cable in the display where the touch screen is connected. Only the touchscreen does not work, the display works and the glass in not broken.
Can I fix the touchscreen and turn OFF the proximity sensor?
