[Q] How to pass welcome 001DL? - Streak 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Froyo rooted
I deleted pre install application by titanium back up.
The application name is welcome 001DL.
After,I used factory reset mode.
Then, after reboot, I can't pass welcome 001dl.
How to pass this application.
Please help me.

If you're on a softbank rom you likely cant, noone has made a nandroid backup and the pkgs are different for softbank roms.
You will need to ask your carrier or dell for help if you deleted a system app that you want back.
Or if you can find a copy online/from another phone that might work too

Thank you very much.
My streak is soft bank rom.
So,I'll ask to dell customer.

[Q] Understanding how to upgrade xperia x10

Hello to all,
Firstly first post to this site and also new to the world of rooting/flashing so bare with me on this one..
Ok as title states I would like to know on how to successfully flash my x10 and receive the benefits that xda have given to alot of us!
Phone specs:
Xperia x10a.
Ver 2.1update1.
Rooted via super one click.
So far I have only been able to root the phone.. I have TB and have performed a back up recently. I do also have the Rom Manager app whilst watching a tutorial via youtube flashing using the Rom Manager I was not able to use the Flash ClockworkMod Recovery as the x10 was not in the listing to proceed. I have also got xrecovery ver 0.3 and tried another method using this but I was not able to install xrecovery properly.. I downloaded it all well and good but went to install and the 3 windows never became ticks just crosses.. Uninstalled and reinstalled but to no avail it did not work..
So my questions are:
Have I done something wrong on my end for this not to work? (knowing my luck yes).
And all I'm after if someone could take the time out and lay out a clear somewhat easy path in order for myself to be able to flash and install custom Roms? cm7 is what I would like to use unless if a good recommendation is given.
Thank you in advance to all and I do apologize for the long post I just wanted to make sure I covered everything.. Still new to this
Kind Regards.
Agera.
Xrecovery installer can be a bit troublesome. Sometimes it doesn't even work for me.
In my opinion, the best way to install xrecovery, root, & jit enable your x10 is through flashtool. You will need a PC but the process works better than the installer. Try that method and find out if that works.
Hey thanks for your reply, my noobness is showing greatly at this point regarding xrecovery... it'll help if I actually click install busy box and destination folder (duh) made me look....yeah Ok well now I have a phone that has been rooted and now have xrecovery in operation, I guess now comes to install a custom rom.
Now to sum it all up basically I have to copy paste desired rom and google rom pack load it onto the sd card (not in any file inside sd but just on sd) perform final backup get into xrecovery factory wipe first? I believe then custom rom reboot then get back into xrecovery then install google apps reboot and done?
I hope I got that down I'm trying to remember processes without having to go back to a tutorial, if I left anything out permission to give me a clip over the ear
Cheers.
When you pick a ROM, make sure the phone's baseband matches the ROMS baseband the developer wants. Also, follow how the way the dev wants the ROM installed, like phone wiped and cache wiped and stuff. And sometime there are multiple files that needed to be flashed in a specific order in xrecovery. So make sure you follow all the devs directions. Hope this helps.

and you can find different ROMs that don't require you to flash googleapps as well, that just makes it confusing. I started with FreeX10, as it was simple and easy to install. once you have a hang of it, I recommend using Trip's GB MIUI. and you said you backed up phone before you installed xrecovery? I recommend you backup using xrecovery first
Sent from my X10 TripNMiUI using XDA Premium App
fixed phone was able to get back into xrecovery and do a restore...
Ok, something I want to ask regarding what I did today when I went to update to a newer o/s eveything went fine until after the phone rebooted and came back to the home screen the 2.2.1 froyo rom I used seemed to be refreshing itself every 2 seconds which made it next to impossible to navigate around the phone... The arc version 2.3.1 opened up and about 30 seconds it froze restarted and shut down again did that for a while... So both didnt work for me only other thing I opened up was the google pack so I could get the market and gmail, I also tried it without installing google apps... same thing happened.
So my question is have I forgotten to put an extra file in? or was it my blind luck that I used to unstable roms?
I've really tried here.. if anyone can please post a link that is certain to work with exactly what i need to do and what files I need that would be really great. Whether its 2.2 or 2.3 it doesnt matter to me so long as it works at this stage I'm having no luck getting something solid here...
Cheers.

[Q] Flight mode won't turn off!! HELP!!

Hey, what's up. So, here's the problem.
1. I flashed Void, I didn't like.
2. I flashed the stock rom (froyo 2.2).
3. now airplane mode in "settings > wireless and network settings" won't turn off.
I've tried taking the battery out for 10 seconds and putting it back again to no avail.
Help please!!!! Now I can't make any calls or anything cuz I've got no connection anywhere!!
Reflash the stock ROM
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA Premium App running miks CM7, quadrant 2100, over clocked at 787
wipe all. try to flash devoid its 2.2 but a lot better.
How did you flash stock ROM? By creating a KDZip(stockrom.zip) and then flashing it? Anyway try to wipe dalvik-cache via Recovery.
1. I've flashed the stock twice
2. I don't wanna go for another ROM at this stage. Getting an error when restoring, and not being able to restore, a nandroid backup is what landed me in this mess, and I'm not sure what other misleading information about Romming I've been fed.
3. Nah, I flashed the stock .DZ.
4. Would my service provider be able to format and reinstall android, or will I be looking at getting a new phone?? Cuz that would suck.

Well, if you keep restoring messed-up/corrupt/broken settings etc., no wonder flashing does not help. Wipe everything and flash a stock ROM, do not restore any broken mess. That is what your provider would do anyway, so no need to waste money.

I did flash shiny ROMs located on this forum over here. I spoke to LG and I have to call them back in a couple. They're gonna get the same phone and we're gonna walk the problem together.
Like 20 minutes or something later..
Yeah, so they said they don't know and I should take it to an MTN outlet. They're not very helpful on Sundays I think.. Gonna take it in tomorrow then
Oh yeah, and i would still like to know..
..if my service provider would be able to restore original Froyo 2.2.0 or if I should consider forking out for a new phone?? .. Or if by any chance LG could restore Froyo bearing in mind that I've flashed 2.2.1 stock and the phone has been un-rooted, or if they'll say hard luck??
Well, as I already said. You still have lingering junk there. Flight mode is not some miracle, it is simply a profile with WiFi/BT/2G+3G turned off. (What can be turned on in flight mode is set in an sqlite DB, so it is even possible to override it).
So, no matter what you have flashed or not, you did that incorrectly. Being unable to switch flight mode on/off does not come out of nowhere.
There is absolutely no need to buy a new phone, your problem is a software one, not a faulty HW. (For questions what LG will or will not do, ask them, not here.)

Thanks ^_^ You obviously know more about this than me, so how do you suggest I proceed if I wish to get back to stock Froyo like it was when I got the phone?? Should I take the phone in to service provider or something??

Well, if you are unable to restore the original ROM properly, then take it somewhere where they can. Does not necessarily have to be your service provider, any authorized LG service can do that, plus lots of unauthorized shops can do it as well (warranty is a different issue here, though.)
Anyway, before you take the phone somewhere - if you flashed something from the thread you mentioned, you probably have 2.2.0 or 2.2.1. Have you tried using LG PC Suite to upgrade the phone to latest version (should be 2.2.2 pretty much regardless the operator/country). Might get you proper flash as well.
Also, CWM recovery has Wipe All option which wipes everything except for recovery.
Thanks so much ^_^ I got a 2.2.1 *.DZ. I don't have the energy to struggle with that anymore so I it took to my service provider and the guy there ordered me a new phone. Awesome of him hey!! At the end of the day, phones were actually made to call, TXT, and tweet with, so I'm through flashing. Time for me to throw in the towel and show it some love just the way it is!!

Oh yeah, and I tried upgrading to 2.2.2.. No luck, it said I had the latest version already at 2.2.1. Doesn't make any sense right. And that's from the official LG updater thinggy.. Hey, how do I mark this thread as SOLVED??

[Q]Bricked P769, now how?

I rooted my P769 Tmobile version, installed Titanium backup, deleted some system app by mistake, and then bricked the phone. I did the hard reset several times. Everytime the hard reset finished, it let me setup the google account, and installed the apps from the Application Manager. But after that, there is no user interface (the screen is black except the topmost information bar), and i cannot do anything by touching the screen, touching the buttons, nothing.
Is there any way to recover the phone and make it work?

I think this article has a couple methods you can use. Ignore the first two since they require an app installed on your phone.

Seems that all these methods require more or less operations on the phone, I am stuck on that. Have to have the phone returned.
Was not ubrickable this phone??
I don't think he bricked his phone. He just accidentally deleted the main gui so now it's just unusable, not bricked.
apk push lghome3 with ADB? Also did you ever install the bootstrap recovery? I have a recovery you can flash if you want to test it out to hopefully restore your lghome3.apk which sounds like you deleted.
Its great to see everyone helping you
In case everything fails.
Download your own official KDZ rom from ROM Finder or from ROM Link Collection
Unbrick your (softbricked) phone by Flashing ROM from here
VERY IMPORTANT: DONT PANIC. lolz.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.
PS: Try this only if everything fails and you dont get solution with workarounds by others.
Thanks all for your kind help. I returned the phone back to tmobile. Will try to get a new one and won't make the same mistake again.

[Q] How to rescue my Huawei 8665 AT&T Fusion 2? (LOST IMEI)

Hello, guys. Thanks for your time, in advance. I tried to install a custom ROM in my Huawei u8665, also known as AT&T Fusion 2 and flash it from its stock Gingerbread 2.3.6 to Jellybean 4.2.2. I followed a guide to backup the IMEI data, but when I tried to restore it, didn't work, it was probably corrupted, or I did something wrong. I don't know, first time I do something like this!
I didn't like the results, panicked, and installed the stock ROM again, but the IMEI isn't restored, even though I'm back to Gingerbread OS and did the factory reset! I made a backup for my personal files, so it doesn't matter. The most important thing is to recover my IMEI asap! I want to call and send messages, and all that stuff a phone DOES! I guess this is what is called to have a bricked phone, am I right? I need help, basically to restore my IMEI as soon as possible. My phone is rooted and it's back to Gingerbread. It's not detecting the baseband and IMEI. Please, help (I'm kind of scared of wrecking my phone even more).

Hard reset my phone and now I can't get past the set up screen. It may be because I used titanium backup to free a few apps and did not disable this before the hard reset. I get as far as the wifi setup screen and it won't get any farther. It either gets stuck at "Just a sec" (the next button is there, and when I press it it makes a noise, but it does not do anything) or "checking for updates". I can get into stock recovery. Factory reset and clear cache don't seem to have an effect. Can someone please help me? Thanks either way. Oh, I have the Sprint LS991 G4. Please.

Sounds like using Titanium backup is the cause of this. You may need to flash your stock firmware, if this is even an option yet for this new device. Did you not make a backup of stock? Or is custom recovery even available yet? Anyway, you could ask for further assistance in your device's specific help forum here:

Good luck!
