Ok if checked the forums and i haven't seen a question similiar so ill spit it out! If i unroot my x10 without timescape installed will my phone get damaged? will it void my warranty if i dont have timescape installed? I just want to know incase an accident happens
Rooting voids warrenty. The only way to delete timescape is by root. But deleting timescape wont hurt your phone at all. I always delete it. Never had a problem.

If you ever have to send it back to SE you can always use SEUS to go back to stock. (i.e. exactly as it comes out of the box) so there is no worries about rooting phone.
As for timescape...get rid to bad rubbish...dont know why SE put rubbish like that on the phone

Hi guys,
I have a generic UK firmware 026 for x10i.
A few days ago I reflashed my phone using SEUS as I was having a few problems with the phone.
After reinstalling i noticed there are quite a few apps I cannot find in market. They were there before flashing but now it just cannot find in search.
Is there a fix for this?
I know there is a fix for rooted phones but mine isn't rooted and also its for version 020.

I have also noticed this after debranding and going to 026 in uk was krange branded 020 before

Yeah but I'm baffled. I'm not rooted or manually debranded. My phone is factory sim free and I'm using stock 026 firmware why should I have this issue?

because some providers block some apps... and some apps are not available in some country...
Try to find your apps on WiFi... if it is not found... there a country lock...
With Market Fix, your X10 is open to all apps...

Sorry but your theory doesn't really make sense. I had apps available before reflashing. I had 026 before and still have now. All I did was reinstall.
But have tried you WiFi theory, that failed I'm afraid.

The market fix replace 2 system files, so root is needed to do that..
I'd debrand my French X10 on 014 to an sweeden 026 (for no serve me), some of french apps are not avalable after that...
With the Market FIx, i can found it again...
So, i tell you a solution, if you don't believe it, wait if some one have an other solution..
Same problem for me.
Hi,
Same problem here. Have a German device flashed to Generic Nordic. Live in sweden. Installed som swedish apps and it was all green (some of them I also had installed befor the flash). After quite some time I wanted to star over from scratch again (had so many bad apps I didn't use that I wanted to totally get rid of).
I used SE Updateservic and did a repair.
Still on Generic Nordic, bur now several apps can't be found for me any more, though I just had them. I thought that I should try to repair the device again, but at the same time 2.1 was just around the corner.
But now when 2.1 is delayed I maybe try to see if another repair can fix things.

Try www.appbrain.com, here in Canada I swear they block all the good apps. This was the only way I got some apps on my phone.

So from what I understand will this allow you to view market apps from other countries and see everything relesed instead of the market saying it can't find what your looking for?
Quite a few times iv been on appbrain and you click on an app, it goes to the market and it won't find what you just clicked even though its shown on appbrain.
Could someone clarify for me? Thanks in advance

How could you download directly from AppBrain? It takes you to market and it says that its not available
Right guys, all your suggestions were useless, but thanks for trying, and those who kept banging on about country restrictions- you were just talking nonsense as it was not the problem I was having, as I thought I had explained but noone seemed to grasp.
Anyway I believe I have worked out the solution to this problem myself.
Go to setting, applications, manage applications, market, uninstall updates(this will take you back to original factory version, and will reset market)
Don't worry as market will Automatically update itself a few hours later.

my first option is clear cache.. no uninstall updates.
look at this thread it is quick and easy:

Hello...
I need some clarification before i go ahead and root this phone by unlocking the bootloader.
So if i unlock the bootloader on SE's developer site, they state i loose my DRM management.. So that means what exactly?
TrackID wont work?
Some FaceBook "like" on musik?
In general, if i have musik on my phone that is DRM protected, i basicly can forget about that?
What happens if i unlock the bootloader to get root.. Make the mods to the phone i want, basicly changing the colors and everything "Sony" on the phone to something else.. Then i relock the bootloader.. Does my DRM get restored?
Hope some can clarify these things for me.. Thanks...
All DRM stuff got deleted and is gone forever. If you relock, DRM will stay gone. No way to restore it sorry!
TrackID etc won't work after that sorry!
Regards
Sucks!...
Witch sucks since TrackID is actually a really good feature on the SE and combined with the app from my carrier that give me free musik.. when DRM is working since that is protected by that.. Its not really an option for me to go bust that function..
So.. Ill start looking into some things and hopefully get some other means of rooting the phone.. or even downgrade it..
Thanks for the reply Bin4ry

i can live without it. I'm def. not buying anything containing DRM and if you miss trackid -> use soundhound.
Works better then trackid in my opinion
Yep,you have too choose wisely
And i bet we gonna see apps very soon with drmlike protection.
That will force unlocked phones to freeware & warez
Hmm what about SE home? Will it be gone too?

Doubtful. Developers need rooted devices if they're to use ADB seriously. Actually the trend goes the other way around: phone subsidies are very expensive and carriers are looking for ways to reduce them.

Hi,
I came from the SE Xperia Play and now I got the Xperia S and I want to unlock it's bootloader and it says I will lose DRM data can anyone tell me the consequences because on my Xperia Play I unlocked my Bootloader using a testpoint method which preserves DRM Data. Can someone tell me which apps will stop..I heard TrackID will work if I get it from thee Play Store and the Music FB Like I don't know if it will stay and can someone tell me which other apps don't work. XD

You won't be able to flash updates or repair using PC Companion, but the rest will work and you can still use flashtool.
hi. i just got a sony xperia sola. it's my first android phone. overall it's nice but i have some memory problems. i'm running low on memory..like 20-30 free(without doing anything).and i got some spikes in games/apps. i noticed that i have many apps on and if i try to close for exemple facebook it will start again. what can i do ? is there any good ram optimizer ?
Just root and use titanium backup to freeze apps
There are several apps that would restart by themselves so rooting is must and easy

Hi
Im noob aka Techgurl and I just rooted my device the other day YEAH TO ME! and I want to get rid of the Thinkfree Office and that is the actual reason to do so,,and I dont wanna remove it and it messes up my device...Im stuck right now.Help is needed...:fingers-crossed:
That's just an office app. Removing that shouldn't affect your device at all.
Best to keep a copy of any stock apps you remove, just in case you need to put them back again. Always best to play it safe!
