Now that we have S-OFF, it's possible to replace the white HTC boot splash image to something else. To make a new one, all you need is to make a new image in 240x320 format, save it as bmp, and use a special utility to convert it to splash format. The utility can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405118
To flash it, you boot into the bootloader and use "fastboot flash splash1 splash.nb".
Here's a quick one I made.

OR you can just use http://spla****.dokyou.eu/ to make your own splash1

Thanks for the instructions.
Now I finally got rid of the ugly branding from a provider I don't even use. Using a splash screen I threw together myself instead
Feels great to know that phone is finally 100% "mine" thanks to AlphaRev

This makes me a sad panda..... haha. Well, hopefully P3droid has a rooted GB patch. I read a post somewhere saying he has the update and could possibly be looking for testers tomorrow.
P3Droid's twitter account says that he is already looking for people to test his patched update for DX2.

I just told him I'd test it, hopefully it works
It works, just flashed it.

Tips: You need S-OFF
Make a Nandroid Backup
USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
How to apply: Extract the zip and choose splash1.img
1: Using Fastboot Commander: reboot in bootloader navigate to splash in Fastboot Commander choose the splash img then flash it
2: Using adb: place the splash1.img in sdk\tools, reboot in bootloader then type "fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img"
How to make a splash: First you need to resize the pic to 240x320 then save it as bmp, i use fastboot comander for making the splash its the easy way, download the program go on the splash tab click splash choose your pic and a window will popup asking you if this is the pic you want click yes, a file .nb will appear in the folder where your pic is stored, you can rename it to splash1.img and you are done.

I thought that only happened for the boot animation as in my old cell, the original galaxy s (i9000) i flashed a lot of roms but only the boot animation changed. The start boot splash screen / boot logo was always the same. Even flashing a kernel didn't change it. Thats the reason i asked dont wanna get caught up after doing a One-way process.. atleast till the warranty period
So you mean to say that if i flash the stock ROM back, i'll get back my stock boot logo ??
thanks you work for lollipop 5.1 android one indonesia

I hope there will be a way to root it because its very good device. The drivers i used are available online here https://www.getdroidtips.com/root-teclast-p80x-4g/
Go on youtube and find "Teclast Root Process for Android Tablet"
I haven't found a solution but thought this might help.
I thought this might be of some use - however on their website putting in the P80X ID doesn't yield any firmware.
Perhaps you guys can make heads and tails of it.
How do you even get in the developer menu? The usual build number clicking doesn't seem to work on the P80X

Remember, forums are not only for you, but for others too. Share your knowledge!
Hi, so I successfully installed TWRP from here, everything went well until this point. I flashed a more stable EU rom and then tried to flash Magisk, but when I rebooted it just went to fastboot mode.
Now everytime I try to turn it off or go back into TWRP it just goes to fastboot mode.
I have tried to flash using MiFlash but I can't seem to get the right thing to flash apparently.
When trying to reinstall TWRP

Here's how I fixed it for the people wanting to know:
I flashed boot.img via fastboot, I have no clue if it had effect on what I did afterwards but I think it might.
I moved the folder of all the files to my main C:\ directory, and then tried to flash using MiFlash and it worked.
I'm trilled to have it back in a ''working'' state
