ComRom Q: have to press power button 2x to turn off screen. - Fascinate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello,
comrom 2.0 - otb with stock voltages - ED04.
regardless of which lock screen I use, or whether I use pattern unlock, when I try to lock my phone and shut off screen after use (with single press of power button), the screen goes blank then immediately lights back up to the lockscreen. then I press power again and it goes black for good.
otherwise my phone behaves very well. any ideas? sorry if this was discussed elsewhere, been following development of this rom reasonably well over time and habent seen this discussed.
one thing I noticed is that if I press power or vol-down to turn screen on - but don't unlock and use the phone - then press power to shut screen down again - screen goes out and stays out. no double press needed unless I was actually doing something with the phone.
thanks
jb

[Q] i have to push the power button 3 times for the lockscreen to detect my finger

ever since the day i bought my note, i have had to unlock it using this pattern:
1. press the power button and wait for the screen to turn on
2. press the power button to turn off the screen
3. press the power button and wait for the screen to turn on, the screen will now detect my finger.
this happens both with a pattern locked screen or an unprotected lock screen
if i use the s-pen the screen unlocks the first time i turn it on, but if i want to use my finger the power button needs to be tapped 3 times or else i can drag my finger across the screen and it wont detect it
this really sucks how do i fix this?
it does this fully stock, rooted, or with CWM 5.5.0.4 installed

Haven't heard this before, I'd suggest unroot your Note, and see if its still the same (most likely will be), and get it swapped in warranty.

[Q] Screen goes blank when coming out of sleep

I have cm 7.2
2.3.7
This is kind of odd. When the screen sleeps or if I turn it off myself, then when I try to wake it by using the power button or volume rocker button, the screen will turn on for half a second, then go blank. Its still on lock screen cause the home buttons are lit and I have to wait a few seconds for it to time out and try again. Its kind of hit or miss. Doesn't always do this. I've deleted dalvik, etc. I use screbbl pro. It never did any of this till CM, so I figure its associated with this somehow. Thoughts?

Freeze on Screen Lock

Anyone else have this (I have the Korean SK model, E210S), sometimes it just freezes on the screen lock. Touch screen unresponsive, holding down the power button gets me the menu and then it seems to work. Just tapping the power button (to turn off the screen) doesn't work, home button doesn't work, etc. Never need to reboot, but it is irritating.

[Strange][4.1.2 LSD] - Screen turns on by itself (only while at lockscreen)

Rom Wanamlite v14.1 (LSD)(4.1.2)
Kernel - Tried all of them (Currently Jeboo v2.1)
Theme - Crusseder's
When I press HW Power button to turn off screen, I get the CRT OFF, and screen turns off well.
But, if I do it when I currently seeing the lock screen (I use pattern lock) then after pressing the Power button, the screen turns off and immediatly turn on again (by itself).
Then, I press power button again, screen turns off, but turns on again by itself.
Then, I press power button again (3rd time), screen turns off well.
What is going on ?
Am I the only one having this ?
Could it be HW fault ?

Lock screen not turning off unless I do it manually (5.1.1)

I am not sure if this is a bug with 5.1.1 or not. I tried searched before coming here to post, but I haven't come across a solution yet.
Anyways, my phone doesn't have power saver on, smart stay is off, and I have my security set to fingerprint unlock.
To the issue at hand - My screen doesn't automatically time out if I press the home button or the power button to turn on my screen. In order for the screen to turn off, I have to manually press the power button. Otherwise, the screen just stays on and drains my battery. This wouldn't be too much of an issue if my butt didn't always press the home button while the phone was my pocket.
I'd really hate to factory reset or flash another rom, as I just finished installing all of my apps and whatnot after a phone replacement. However if that is the only option to fix this problem, then I'm okay with doing so.
Thanks ahead of time for reading!
**quick edit** - forgot to mention that if I receive a notification, that it turns my screen on and keeps it on until I press the power button.
