[Q] Root access

Hey
Probably a stupid question. But is there any way of getting root access to the stock ROM. I'm enjoying running the TouchWiz and I'm not very keen (or is it lazy) to change it out. So is there a way??
Just follow the directions here

Rooting. Same method for every firmware?

Hi
This is probably the noobiest question.. I am new to the android scene and am clueless. My GS2 comes in today, so excited!!
So I will root it when i get it. Just wondering, is the rooting method the same for every firmware version or does it change as new firmwares come out?
And can someone PLEASE link me to a detailed root guide for the GS2. Keep i mind i am new to the android scene.
Thanks in advance guys!!
As to date, rooting works the same. You flash a pre-rooted rom, or only a rooted kernel. Until Samsung would suddenly lock their bootloaders nothing will change. Luckily Samsung likes the Android community, so they'll keep it easy for us to root.
Ok. So every time i upgrade to a new firmware.. I just use the same root guide and it will work.?
Can you point me to a detailed step by step GS2 rooting guide please?
Thanks for your help
The most easiest way would be to pick the CF-Root kernel matching your firmware/ROM from here:

And just flash that - done.
The kernel takes care of pretty much everything.
Seems complex.. but i will give it a try.

[Q] Help Help....

Gt way to root back G verison stock rom??...anybody know hw to root back?
I can only guess you're asking how to root. If so, the most straight forward way is to use [16/Nov][ROOTING/UNROOTING] Xperia 2011 Easy Rooting Toolkit [v3.0](zergRush Exploit).
If that's not what you're asking, sorry, but you might need to try and rewrite your question.
Or if root back means unroot remove root = flash stock rom or stock kernel reset custom rom counter to zero .

yaya...i mean this....><"....hw can teach me??

[Q] Any Idea when is root possible for latest firmware .62

root?

Hello could someone please point me in the right direction to root this thing. I've notice there are different methods and a lot of brick talk on here so I'm a little reluctant to use one.I'm not new to the root I have rooted my evo,intercept,g2, galaxy tab. But all those seemed pretty safe I have t 201 and I updated to ics. One more thing I don't care much about the roms just want to run rooted programs so is it even worth it with such a new device?
I rooted mine with sparkys root but first use the unlock tool <unzip your unlock tool prior>...sparkys app is easy either download it with your computer then place in the file of your liking to open and install the app... or i think you can just download it from his page in developement with your prime. And has uproot available which I have done and then rerooted just for fun... enjoy your rooted Prime..
