Anyone know how to set the browser to only allow flash on demand per instance? (in other words, only run the flash that you click on, leaving the rest disabled)
For example there's a page that embeds three flash video players and you only want to run one... just like firefox's flashblock

In browser go to more=>settings=>enable plugins=> select "on demand"
voila..
Press "thanks" if I helped..
well... yes thank you but no not quite yet...
even with that setting on,
say if I'm on a page with more than one flash in the page (eg, ads and flash video player) when I click on the arrow to load flash, it will load both.
I just want to enable the flash on the one I clicked on.

unfortunately flash is only able to have Flash on automatically or have the page load all flash entities on demand, there is no known way to choose specific Flash instances to load individually as far as im aware
Dang. That makes two things I'd like to fix on my sgs2.
Thanks for the info though.

Loving my gtablet! Installed vegan and the market and im rocking and rolling with one issue left to solve. So i downloaded and installed the latest version of flash, but in firefox and the stock browser no flash videos will play. They show a link to download flash, which leads me to their site saying the device is not supported. What am i doing wrong here?
Firefox doesnt do flash. I am not sure why the stock browser is not working. What flash did you install and what rom you running? In the settings of the stock browser do you have plugins enabled, off, or on demand?
Info
Flash version is 10.1.120.1
Running VEGAn-Tab v1.0.0b5.1.1
thanks for your help!
Uninstall that 10.1, look around and get the more recent Flash 10.2. You can get it from freeware lovers if you dont have the market set up... Also, not sure about Firefox, but with any of the browsers make sure you're looking at the site in 'Desktop' mode
Got it to work!
Hey it works! I had to fool with the browser settings and install the version of flash recommended and i couldn't be happier! thanks you guys. this is an awesome community.
Can you post the steps you took to resolve this issue? Ie, 1. Uninstalled Flash 10.1, 2. Went to Market, searched for "Flash 10.2", etc. That would be helpful for other people that have this problem (especially what browser setting you had to change).
I know that Flash is bundled with VEGAn 5.1.1, but all of the sites I go to say that it isn't installed (or need higher version than 8 or 7 or whatever).
I went to the market and it doesn't list Flash no matter how I search. Shouldn't 10.2 be listed even though 10.1 is installed?
Thoughts?

I couldn't see Flash 10.2 until I did the market fix.
Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Press the 'All' tab
Scroll down and look for 'Market'
Clear Cache, Force Stop
Return back to the list and look for 'Google Services Framework'
Clear Data, Force Stop
Now go to your Market and it should error (that's normal)
Reboot and load Market back up and Flash should be there
I did the Market fix 3 times until I could see it.
But that might not work for everyone. In that case you should look into this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1020130
I still cannot see flash videos on sites like espn.com. it just shows a picture instead of the video.
I have done the market fix a number of times and still don't get Flash to show up. Grr...
Maybe I will try a few more times for good measure or try the alternate method mentioned by Hachi2go.
This method worked on the first time when I needed to get the Facebook app.
I was unable to get Flash with this Market fix up.
To frustrate me more, my co-worked just tried this easy fix and Flash just popped up for him. Grr...
I had to go to the other thread and change the device ID in the build.prop file.
When I access several websites such as ESPN, they require flash. When I have tried to download it, the adobe website says my device, platform is not supported. However, the website shows android 3.2 being supported. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

The device already comes with flash installed. You can try downloading an updated version directly from the Android Market on your tablet. You should have Adobe Flash Player 11.
Flash 11 shows in the apps, but it is not working when I access websites. Any suggestions from here?
Thanks,
Roger

Don't mean to be insulting. Try rebooting if you haven't done so. Or maybe uninstall and reinstall. *scratches head* Are you using the stock browser?
I was having the same issue with Flash 11. Websites such as the one linked below report that I need adobe flash 11 to view this content.
Sorry not able to post links b/c of n00b status.
After looking up the app in the settings menu I found that adobe flash had been disabled and was at the bottom of the apps list as a result of being disabled.
I clicked on the uninstall updates option and viola I didnt experience the issue with flash content.
Hope this helps.
Check if flash is enabled in settings and that you are using the default browser that came with your device then check other flash sites to see if they are working it might be ESPN's problem.

Hulu working on touchpad cm7, and any other android rom or devices. Working on my archos 101,touchpad, Huawei s7 and vibrant. You must uninstall stock flash player if installed then install Flash player attached here. Also there's a Hulu app attached.
Which archos 101?
Thank you for the post. Does this work on archos 101 Gen 8? Or only on the newer Gen 9?

I too own a Archos 101and yes it does work on Archos 101 with custom rom installed like cm7 or others. But it seems to not play so good in the browser, browser crashes. Browsers I tried are dolphin, xscope, boat browser might work in others. Should use the hulu app attached for better results. Also make sure to change browsers user agent to desktop.
THANKS!!!! Works great on Touchpad but also on my LG Revolution. The app, not so much but works fine in Dolphin HD.
*Just an FYI, on any other device you might have to uninstall/reinstall Netflix.. had to on my LG Revolution anyways, TP was fine
reinstalled flash, didnt work. do i have to install the app too? tried it in dolphin hd.
Worked for me, I just need now to find out how to trick Hulu since I'm not in the US... (Is there another solution than VPN?)
Sine, you could try running through a US proxy. I do the same thing in reverse for Europe, so I can get the online broadcast of Top Gear.

It seems to work (at least on desktop browser), I've used this free US proxy list and this proxy checker to find one to test, I'll try on my TP tonight
Got it to work. Just have to click go to hulu.com from app. Doesn't work by just typing in address in dolphin

Are you using the stock rom or a custom rom? From my experience with the modified flashplayer is it works best on custom roms stock roms not so good or at all. Suggest changing your rom if using stock rom.
Just wondering if there is an update for this? Flash keeps trying to update on my phone and I let it once and lost Hulu so just checking..
Thx.

No there is no update yet for the flashplayer. Uncheck the automatic update option for flash in the market and use rom toolbox app to break market link. In Tom toolbox go to applications then touch the flashplayer until options menu appears scroll down and select break market leak, This will do until update.

FWIW, for those comfortable with hex editing, you can actually fix any version of flash, including the latest, to work with Hulu and Amazon VOD.
Uninstall any old version. Install the latest from the Market.
You need to be rooted (all of us on the Touchpad with the Cyanogen mod should already be rooted anyway) and go to the file /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib/libflashplayer.so (make a backup just in case)
Either get the hex editor by Tuba in the Android market or copy the file to your PC and open it in your favorite hex editor. I use the app because it works and it's just easier without having to transfer files back and forth.
Open it up in the hex editor and find the ASCII value "AND_11" then change it to WIN_11 (note it's case sensitive so it must be all caps).
Make sure the change saves, so you must have r/w privileges in that directory if they aren't already set.
Reboot after you've verified the save took with the updated value.
The AND is for Android and the 11 is the version increment. It's unlikely, but if Adobe ever releases a version 12.* you will then want to look for AND_12.

If you do have Flash installed then open your browser ( it CAN'T be Google Chrome ) then Menu > Settings > Advance and be sure 'Enable Plug-Ins' is "Always On"

Actually the opposite. If you have flash sideloaded (i.e. you used a program to load it because you can auto install from Google Play anymore), you go to the browser and select Settings>Advanced and Enable plug-ins should be set to off. then try a flash sit and that should work.
EDIT: When sideloading, make sure you allow apps to be loaded from unknown sources.

You are right all versions of android 2.2 upwards support flash, only chrome doesn't support it, some Roms don't support it.

Works for me in the stock browser.
This ain't actually a guide but just a sharing of facts.
As of some time I always missed flash support in current Internet browser's for JB, and all the workarounds by installing a modified or really old version of other browsers like an old version of dolphin browser did satisfy my need of having flash BUT it was dreadfully slow or quite not like how it was when in GB or ICS and using ancient crappy browser's was increasing the pain of using flash.
And when almost all hope of decent browser experience with flash was lost, I came upon UC Browser and I happened to be in a site that required flash, and the browser gave me an option in the space of the flash video to install a plugin(please note that I had uninstalled flash player before, since I got sick of flash) , I was like "well whatever I tried every other ****" and when I clicked on it, it gave a toast message of plugin downloading and sure in a couple of minutes I was prompted to install Adobe flash player and after the installation the page refreshed itself and there was blue play button now and on clicking it the flash video loaded without any delay and that was the beginning of my best experience with flash in JB, so guy's why don't you try it out? Just go to Play Store and Install UC Browser and go through something similar like I went through.
Also note UC Browser uses a specific build of flash player 11 so uninstall flash player if you have it installed before doing anything above.
And yeah Dolphin Browser latest doesn't support flash in JB, Firefox detects flash but takes forever to load, Chrome never supported flash.
Edit : I recently found out that UC Downloader HD(the tablet version) doesn't prompt us for installing the plug in for some weird reason, so in that case use this version AdbFs10_V11.1.115.47_Android_pf145_(Build13022810).apk of Adobe Flash(which you can download from the Adobe website), or you can install "UC Downloader for Android" (intended for phones, and yes it works in tablets too but HD feels better) and follow what I did above.
