Seidio Slim Kickstand Case! - HTC EVO 3D

Just checking out Seidio's website, looks like they will have a slim case with a kickstand. It looks slimmer than htc's kickstand case.
http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=CSR3HEV3DK-BK
They even have a 1900 mAh slim battery planned.

that looks sick, what about the 1900mah battery? link?

And 10-15% more time? Are they kidding? Why would this be worthwhile?

Nice.. i was waiting for a SEIDIO case

These 3rd party manufactures with batteries claiming to have more capacity in the same size are full of it. Most of the time they are even worse than the stock battery which have a lower rated capacity.
I can't post a link but go to batteryboss dot org
Any perceived improvement in battery life is just that... its a placebo effect and these companies are making a killing off it.

Was about to post the same thing. This should have been posted in Accessories, repost or not.

I loved the 3500 for my EVO 4G and will be all over it for the 3D also.... the extra bulk does not bother me one bit. It is so nice to be able to use the device any which way I like and not worry about battery at all. Especially when I get GREAT 4G coverage at home.

PowerSkin experience with DX2?

Hello! Has anyone gotten the Droid X/ X2 PowerSkin case for their X2? I was curious how well it worked.
Thanks in advance!
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
I haven't tried the power skin, but I know the Seidio Active case for the DX works perfectly. It has two layers, one rubber, and then a hard shell that goes around it. But it's pretty skinny, they also have a skinnier one layer hard shell that works for it too. They both keep the shape of the phone and both protect it really well! They are also rather cheap on the price! Around $30!
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
Thanks - I have used those and I like them. But this is a type of case with a built in battery. Here's from their web site:
http://www.power-skin.com/battery-cases/ap1503mdx/motorola-droidx-powerskin.html
They're pricey and I was curious to get anyone's input on how good they are before I took the plunge on one myself.
Oh sh*t! That's awesome!

wish i would of saw this before tonight i just bought a extended battery and otterbox case(which i love otterbox). but this is really cool. if i dont like my extended battery ill have to give this a shot if you guys review it well.
Here is great thread for you DX2 user wonder to get a powerskin. I have one and have no complaints. It works just like what I suppose to do. Once in a while my phone gets hot in a charge/discharge. This is because the phone is charging and the skin is discharging and when the skin discharges it produces heat. So just don't use it heavily or it will bring the phone to over heating. I have provided a great link from the Evo forums to help DX2 owners if you want to get a PowerSkin. If your are interested just click the link below to here about other Evo users opinions.

agreed; he's got some great looking cases, and i love the little android designs! haha
I've been getting the Seidio Surface cases for my wife's HTC phones for the last 3 years. I really like them, but the color selection leaves much to be desired.
i refuse to EVER buy seideio again. they're nothing but a ripoff; i bought that fabled 1750 mah battery for my eris back in the day, and it turns out the damn thing is barely a 1400 rating. the stock 1500 htc lasted longer than that! seideio products are crap and overpriced haha

*shrug* I have liked their cases so far. They aren't cheap, but they have protected my wife's phones well. Her Thunderbolt is like new. And that's with the surface, the lowest layer of protection.
I have heard bad things about their batteries though, even before your comments, so I will have to remember to stay away from those.
def. i'm sure their cases are great, but after the sour taste i was left with from their batteries, i just wouldn't do business with them again, yaknow?

Ive Read About Laza's Regular 1900 Slim Battery's But This One Is Different And Looks Better Than Other Extended Battery's Ive Seen. Plus All Of Its Reviews Are A1
I just bought this battery on ebay today for $13 and its an USA seller too. It should be here a little less than a week. Ill probably put up a video or pics of my first impression and close up the battery if you guys want. Then a little after I'll do a full review once I train my battery and give it some tests. I'm a pretty heavy user so dont be disappointed if I get less than 10 hours, since I average 3-4 hours off the stock battery.

I would suggest you read the reviews right from the Amazon link you posted. They give you exactly what you are asking for, personal reviews. Because of this I ordered one and I love it. I cut a hole in my TPU case to fit the cover, it's not perfect it gets the job done as I don't want my phone to be without a case/cover and it only cost me 4 bucks at the time.
When you get it it says that it needs five full charge and discharge cycles for full capacity. I actually used it once for TWO DAYS on a single full charge. :highfive:
The oddly shaped case is a love or hate design. The plus is that the edges are the thickness of a regular case instead of the fat thickness all other extended batteries have. I also feel it fits better and the buttons, power volume up and down, work better than other backs I've seen although I've never seen the Seidio back. Minus is that the design has this huge unsightly bulge and less than nice aesthetics.

This battery is great idk why one of the posters thinks they lie. I bought if for about 13 bucks. I can ge about 14 hours of medium to heavy use. Which is way way better than stock. I have a sorta review on the android forums i just cant link cause im new here :/

Just got my 4000mAh battery

I just got the battery from seidio thats 4000 mah ITS A GO! it drains slow even when im on 1.5 ghz awesome battery guys definitley a worth buy i got better battery life when i kept it on charge for hours so if your not sure to get the battery or not and if u dont mind the little thickness guys this battery is awesome.

4000mah that's alot of battery juice ...Is it worth the bulk?
You can get the 3500 mah battery for the same bulk as the 4000.when I first got the battery I still haven't removed it or thinking of that for me it's worth it the bulk that is but for some 55$ is a bit over for a battery price
yeah in that case might as well go with the 4000mah... I should probably upgrade myself still using stock battery...usually last me around 70% of the day
Sorry to drudge this up, but how's the battery holding up? Is the Seidio backplate really as bad of a fit as everyone says it is? I am seriously considering getting one cuz I wanna use my phone all day instead of sparingly.
HTC Evo 3D Custom Battery

This battery is extremely well. That extra 500 of juice as proven itself useful.
As far as the size, people will get over it. I had a few buddies comment on my phones size and I kindly tell them I wasn't blessed with small hands like them, so to me, it's not big.
Bottom, the price tag for the battery and full package protective case has already paid itself off in my last convoy. Dropped while I was loading up cargo on the deuce and a half and it didn't shatter. When I was in the field, I had the only working cell phone pass the two week mark.
So if you're on your phone a lot and don't always have a power source to charge, this and the 3500 battery are for you. I had the 3500, but again, that extra 500 made a difference with me.

I bought that battery from cowboom in September when this was posted, and it definitely needs the expanded replacement cover as it is about twice as thick as the stock battery. The cover fits well though, unlike the Seidio that has has gaps at bottom of the phone for a lot of people, including me.
There's no way that a 3500mah battery could use the normal cover. Here's the Amazon listing for the same battery where the photos more clearly show the larger cover.

If you're in the US you can get the specially designed branded version made for Best Buy on EBay for under $20. Just search for Platinum instead of Seidio. You can get the cases cheaper that way also if you decide to stay with a factory battery although I've seen a few surface extended cases for less than $10.

6000MAH Hyperion battery

I personally don't think I'll get a extended battery with this beautifully designed device but I'll leave this here for anyone who may be looking for one but don't want the complete bulk of the Zerolemon .. This one doesn't look to be quite as big  cheerz
http://www.amazon.com/Extended-Battery-Hyperion-Compatible-International/dp/B00NLJAEJO
And a different back plate which looks to be better for grip and maybe a little protection .. Is a Tpu case made for this battery style I believe http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00PIBNMEM/ref=pd_aw_sims_3?pi=AC_SY230_QL60

Well I'm recently looking for reviews for this battery cover too. I'm very curious about the thickness of it since it seems the company did select a good angle to kind of make up a illusion of a slim design. And no case for the phone that is having this cover on, that's another problem
True. I'm curious about the same things .....
2SHAYNEZ
I ordered mine yesterday from Hyperion website for $24.99 (free shipping, no tax; $4.99 on Amazon). When I get it I will upload some pictures. Stock battery was good in G2, but G3 display is the biggest hog for me.
Received a battery today. I uploaded 3 pics just to show it to the public.
I also measured weight of the phone:
+ without battery: 114g
+ with OEM: 162g
+ with Hyperion: 208g
Now I'm going to measure battery life for a few next days.
I put 2 dimes and 1 nickel to show an extra thickness. Check at home
I'm a heavy user and after one day I can say that this battery is outstanding. Normally I had to charge my phone at least once during the day. With Hyperion I used only 1/3 of juice. It compensate an extra bulk
I don't use NFC, so lack of it is not a problem for me.

Sweet review, I bought mine a few days ago can't wait to try it when it gets here
I don't really mind how thick or heavy my phone is as long as it's not ridiculous (like 5 pounds or an inch thick or more) so I got the zerolemon battery. I can't imagine this really saves THAT much space. But then again, with double the stock capacity, it should be useful in either case.
Can you put pictures of it on the phone?

I m from Germany and since hyperion don't ship to Germany i was looking for a alternative.
There are lot of companies that have the exact same battery whit cover. Just other brand.
In Germany there is for example "Akku King" or a no name company named "vbh".
I got the vbh battery because the one from "Akku king" was not in Stock.
The battery looks exactly like the hyperion. So far battery life is awesome!!! After 6 hours standby and approximately 3h screen time and some telefon calls i still got 72%.
Also the new cover and battery give you more grip. The phone doesn't tend to slip like whit the Orginal battery and back cover. I will add pictures from the phone with the backcover installed later.

Yes you are right i also doubt that the battery had 7500mAh but 6000mAh for sure. Because it looks exactly the same like the other 6000mAh batteryd.
