I have been on MIUIWIZ for awhile and recently my swype keyboard said my trial has ended. Has this happened to anyone else? Anybody know why it happened?

It happened to me too using Com Rom 2.1 patch...
same here on mine and my co-workers fascinate. Both running ukb
Edit: out of curiosity, would the swype from the GB leak work or does that fall into the "ukb has special swype" column?

It happened to me running Comm Rom 2.0. It was still an issue after applying the 2.1 patch.
Update: I fixed the issue by following these instructions to install the latest beta version. Though, it's not the same version (3.x instead of 2.x). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128986
Happened to me at exactly 12:00 AM...
I got the same on Com Rom 2.0 with a themed version of Swype (from v2.75 Steel Blue). Putting Swype 3.0 did solve the problem.
Fascinate users are legally allowed to have Swype obviously, according to http://www.xda-developers.com/android/official-stance-from-swype-inc-regarding-its-distribution/, however the Swype version must be the same that was pre-installed (stock). I'm guessing a lot of the current ROMs are putting in newer versions of Swype, causing these license disagreements.
Thanks guys I did end up putting swype 3.0 on and I thought we were allowed to have it but someone cleared that up too.Thank you

I downloaded flext9 from Amazon when it was the free app of the day a little while ago. Finally have an excuse to try it out. I kind of like it, to be honest.
All I did was delete swype using titanium backup and downloaded beta by going to swype.com
Working fine now and I think I like this version better

That's what I did too. After uninstalling in titanium backup you have to REBOOT. 3.x rocks. It's more accurate and also has words above the keyboard

Before this update, on EB01, the Market only listed apps that I actually installed using the Market.

The New Market appears to also have made the text of the app descriptions smaller. This is a good thing because they were getting long once the restrictions were lifted on length.
And not sure if it is the theme I am using but the stars appear to have tweaked graphics as well.
I will also "+1" to all my apps showing up in the market when I had a previous problem.
Thanks for this, Market is MUCH faster when loading into memory the first time.

Just a heads up Pfredd, I have noticed when you restore app with tibu or other back up apps if you go into manage applications and find the market app and clear data the next time you open market it should find all your apps. This is probably why when you installed this update your apps appeared.
Thanks for the new market! I'm using SC 2.4 and it works great! The only problem i've run into is that when I use titanium backup to restore all my apps and data, the apps show up in the Market>My Apps, but it doesn't show that they are installed so I'm not able to update the apps unless I reinstall everything. Is there anyway around this?

Worked for me...using the keyboard right now. Used titanium backup to uninstall stock swype then used the swype installer from the beta site to download and install 3.0. Id thing was the new swype installer started it was overwriting a previous copy but it installed correctly

If you would still like to try to uninstall Swype on a production devices you will need to delete or rename /system/app/Swype.apk and /system/lib/libSwypecore.so before installing the Beta. I will stress that this is NOT SUPPORTED in anyway. Some firmware has other framework customizations by the carrier that will cause further complications if these files are removed. If you try to uninstall Swype from a production device and break it the only advice we can give you is to seek instructions on how to reload your device with the stock rom.

Same thing happened to me. The new 3.0 worked great until a reboot, then I got a ton of force closes. I uninstalled 3.0, trashed the new lib, and reinstalled. She's been solid through several reboots since.
Prob not what you want to hear but on the Swype site on the 3.0 download page it says that if your phone came with Sywpe 3.0 beta will not work on your device.

You have to delete the Swype that came with it before it will even install 3.0.
I had similar problems. My solution was to disable Swype 3.0, uninstall (using manage applications), then reinstall. As stated before, I've been solid through several reboots since.

I removed the apk and the library files, rebooted into BSR, cleared cache and dalvik and then rebooted.
I then downloaded the beta and installed it. Then, if I go into Settings->Language & keyboard->Swype Settings, it FCs. If I try to set the input type to Swype, it FCs as well.
I tried grabbing the Swype.apk and the lib.so file from Eclipse 1.3 and installed that. No force closes, but swyping doesn't work. In fact, I get a message that since it's from a different phone, some functionality may be limited. But, it doesn't FC.

Hmm, I can't get it to work. It keeps FCing on me no matter what I try. I rebooted, cleared the cache and dalvik in BSR and nothing.
Maybe what I'll do today is SBF back 2.3.4 and then put CM7 beta on it. Before, I just flashed the beta over the alpha. Not sure if that was the problem or not.
UPDATE: Okay, I SBF'd back to 2.3.4, rooted and install CM7 beta. Installed Swype beta and all is well.
So, moral of the story is, you really SHOULD sbf back to 2.3.4 no matter what when installing CM7. I don't care what others have stated, but it's just safer to start with a clean slate. In fact, I have noticed even better performance than before. I really think some remnants from the Alpha were causing some of the issues I was seeing with Swype.

I updated swype beta without errors on cm7.. not sure, but I had issues with TiBu when I first went to cm7... but Those issues somehow worked themselves out. But non the less, I suggest installing the Beta Installer for swype, unless you are deving a ROM and then, just put the files in the correct areas and your fine.
When I installed CM7 everything was fresh. I made sure to do the big 3 more times than required just because. With that said, after everything was installed I installed Swype Beta from the installer.
It seems to work just fine for the most part however, some functionality appears to be broken. In the options I have suggestions for words disabled yet, the suggestions still appear.
I also have words that seem to appear, such as, "Sooooo" which I've never said, nor added to the dictionary. Previously, when a word was entered into the dictionary that did not belong, I used to be able to highlight the word and press the swype key to remove it, this does not seem to be the case anymore. In addition, the above word was not found in the dictionary when accessing it from the settings menu.
All in all, it does work, just some minor annoyances for me a this time. No show stoppers though.

Since flashing CM7DX2 almost every app i put back using TiBu had had problems. Sometimes clearing data for the app fixed other times had to reinstall using the apk and then restore data only from TiBu. I've seen several posts saying TiBu doesn't play well with CM7. As for Swype beta i installed it immediately after flashing CM7 using the installer and have had no issues at all with it.

I just did that few days ago. New beta SWYPE is probably a hundred times more accurate/pretty than the stock one that comes with the phone. Haven't tried too much of Dragon dictation but still definitely worth getting it.
I did it twice actually since I just flashed SHOstock ROM.
The first time i followed these directions.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20893638
The second time I just used titanium backup and it worked just as well with no issues.
Good luck.
I haven't had any problems with it. I don't use the dragon feature, but I did test it and it works.
I manually removed the APK the first time, but like the previous poster said, TB also works.
The .so file was versioned, so I left it on there (it won't be used by a newer version anyway, since that will have its own).
Just select Swype in TB and select "Uninstall".
Then install the Swype installer and go from there.
Just keep in mind you'll have to do that anytime you flash a stock ROM that has it included.
If you flash a ROM with integrated swype, without wiping data, swype will crash when you try to use it.
Just go back into TB, uninstall the system version (you'll see two in the list), then select the beta version and "Wipe Data" and that'll fix it.
Thanks for the help guys! In fact I'm writing this post with my new Swype!

Dragon
I used dragon dictation in my car on my way back from work and i was so happy with it. I sent 8 texts and only made 3 errors. Its on par with google's speech to text. It uses very little data too...i only have 200 mb so i have to be careful with stuff like that.
I'm loving the Swype Beta w/Dragon. I use Unnamed 2.2.1 and had no probs at all deleting the old skype with root explorer and downloading the installer. Dragon dictation works great and swype's accuracy seems much better. A+ all around!
