3d bootloader? - HTC EVO 3D

swaze said:
Just need some confirmation.....But for any one in the know, are the same methods used in the Incredible S bootloader that are in the 3d? Reason I ask is because root was just discovered for the Incredible S 2 days ago, so there may be something helpful in that method providing the 3D comes not encrypted and just locked with a signed recovery like the incredible S did. Can someone confirm or deny?

Would you mind expanding on how that helps? I'm just curious how the basic process will work. I assume this is also how the thunderbolt was unlocked based off of an article I read awhile ago.

In short, we have what we need to get full S-OFF and root access. No worries, it is coming.

That eng bootloader with s-off is old. We can't replace our current bootloaders with it until there's a way to get s-off and flash the eng bootloader(in which we wouldn't need that eng bootloader anyway). Congrats to the lucky person with a dev device but unless he writes his own recovery, he can't do anything with it.

We have had few phones with s-off already. This is the first one with 1.40 though. As nice as this is for the person who has it, i doubt it will do anything for us. We already have s-off (not public released) and we already have eng-bootloaders from s-off devices. Thanks anyway.

Im not holding my breath for this, however, I was hoping either A) He has the Smartcard in the device still or B) The private key is on the sdcard or somewhere on the phone.
you debbie downers need to chill. He could very well have some files on the SD card that could help. you never know.
no need to bash stuff as not being helpful without even seeing the system yourself to begin with.

There's already a forum for the 4G LTE, this is better off posted there since it has nothing to do with the 3D.
