I think it might work because I managed to get the Touchwiz keyboard to sort of work on GT540, that was a bit difficult but an alpha will be coming out soon
Sweet. I'm looking forward to it.

Its not as simple as using apps, its the matter of getting the apps inside to control the libs and hardware of the phone. samsung galaxy has different hardware and libs, same with arc, hence like ^^ said, mission impossible.

You really want to swap android for something Nokia failed to make popular and have now moved to wp7. The only reason to do this I can see is to know if it can be done.

I'm afraid, you're wrong. Ace's higher CPU clock speed doesn't meant it's better. N900 has Cortex-A8 CPU which is ARMv7 based processor (frequency range 600MHz-1GHz); we have ARMv6 based one. Also PowerVR SGX530 in N900 can achieve double framerate of Adreno 200.
btw. Isn't that wrong forum to ask that kind of question?

Hi
So a couple of developers and I are porting HTC Sense to the ZTE Blade. I have come here for guidance for porting it. So what I have is a MPDI port from the HTC Salsa which boots. I want to port the ROM from MDPI to HDPI. Any help? Should I get the system apps from the Desire S and put the .pngs into the other Salsa apps and overlap the MDPI ones? Also there are more pngs in the Desire S than the Salsa one. So would I copy over the existing ones only or all of them? And do I rename the folders from MDPI to HDPI or leave them?

I know this should be in Q&A but I think more developers will see it here

4.2 has a TOTALLY different API base, so no, it's not possible, or really hard.

I have to port same cpu, android version but screen size is different that is 4 inch and 5 inch. How can i port this rom. Tell me instruction for this porting.
I wanna port some roms from Galaxy Ace and Gio to Galaxy 5! But I wanna ask (because I don't have this fone) is this device has same family? And can easily porting roms from that device just replace some drivers? If yes, let me know! Oh yeah, what are this device's resolution? MDPI or LDPI? What is the CPU clock? And anything that lead me porting roms...

You have to replace some drivers for it to boot. Change the boot.img.
