did someone notice this situation?
ok. let me explain: I am in the office, and I put my Flyer against to my computer monitor. touching the screen I got instantly screen shoot. any command your trying to do on the screen, is not responding except screen shoot, and it will not working as long as the Flyer is touching the computer monitor. have you guys notify this? and.....you don't need stylus...you can use you own finger for drawing....
strange
Thats strange....I just tried to recreate this and couldn't get it to behave in the way you described. What type of monitor?
Sounds like your monitor emits the same frequency as the pen. Why did you put your Flyer on your monitor? Just curious...

When I put my Evo3d in my pocket and play music through headphones it will randomly start playing at 2x normal speed or skip forward. Is anyone else having this problem and is there a fix? I tried a different player(winamp) and it did the same thin.

I've had that happen to me with the google Music app but I had assumed it was because I was streaming.
This happens to me too. I thought thus topic was addressed though. Something to do with phone thinking headphones were a headset.

Works great so far!
I have a droid X2 rooted and sbf'ed with 2.3.4. I also have a desk dock from Verizon. When I place the phone into the dock (which I do at night) strange things begin to happen. I hear clicking sounds coming from the phone -- the sounds made when you tap on the screen! It goes on intermittently all night, and in the morning instead of the standard desk clock display that kicks in when the phone is docked I have other displays on the screen. Several times it's been the dialer along with a dialog saying "emergency calls only" (who the hell was this ghost trying to call?), a few times the Audible app was on the screen, but with nothing playing. Other times it's been some random app.
I have had to wipe every last widget from the dock screen, and before placing the phone on the dock I switch to a blank homescreen and remove the status and dock bars (thanks, GoLauncher!) to avoid any problems. Not that it's been 100% ... this morning I found the Handcent app running.
Anyone know just WTF is going on here?
Gasper trying to talk to the dead?
I had a problem like that but with out the dock, I had to clean the screen REAL good. Not sure if that would work in this instance but give it a try.

I know the screen acts crazy when ur phone is getting incorrect voltage from the charger/dock...
Might be hardware related tho also...have u.contacted Verizon? Maybe u have urself a "faulty" malfunctioning dock(or even phone)
Good luck...u could always download a ghost detector and see what's going on also hahah

I've had this happen. Try another charger if you have one with the dock then without to help isolate the problem.

I did switch to another charger that has a slightly higher current output (850 ma) and that seems to have done the job. But I'm not uncrossing my fingers until the phone doesn't misbehave for at least a week. But thanks for the suggestion.
Hello!
I am looking for a cheap Bluetooth watch ($60) that I can hook up to my Galaxy Nexus, to display battery %, missed calls etc... Would be nice with a touchscreen too.
Been looking at SE MN800 bluetooth watch, but is there any alternatives?

I would think twice about buying the LiveWatch. It loses connection quite a lot. I heard there's an app to help this, but it is a paid app so I haven't tried it yet. It is nice that you have some 'apps' for it though.
I did actually buy the LiveView. I would not completely rely on it to show calls and messages, but it's not as bad as everybody makes it sound
Wow, I wasn't even aware these existed! I'd like one that was a heart rate monitor on top of that so I can use it for my runs.

You should get the Motorola bluetooth watch. That has pulse readers in the earplugs and stuff!
I set face unlock on Saturday and I've been pleased with the results. When I'm outside it doesn't really work great because of the light, but indoors it works probably about 80% of the time. Are you using face unlock? Any tips on making it work better? Not working at all? Stories please!

Mine works most of the time - id say upwards of 90%, though I am still getting into the habit of looking at the screen when I unlock the phone.
If you are having trouble, go into the settings an "Improve Face Unlock" at different lighting levels or phone positions.
The only downfall of this, is I assume it could make it less accurately keyed to your face. A friend of mine has actually been able to unlock mine with his face.
Even back when I had my Photon, the one wish I have is that Google would detect the lighting level, and if its too dark, drop straight to the PIN/Pattern unlock.
It takes an extra few seconds waiting for the timeout when you are checking a 3AM email, kind of frustrating.
Mine works pretty impressive. I'd say closer to a 98% success rate (the other 2% would be when I'm in my car driving and I'm either not looking at my phone directly or I have my sunglasses on).
I'd have to say do the "Improve Face Unlock" option. Like the instructions say during setup, make sure that you have a good amount of light, and that you're holding your phone eye-level to you to get an accurate reading. Then, when you go to unlock it, use the same steps.
I used the improve face lock options and now it seems to work every time. I even tried it with my son who looks just like me and it did not unlock for him. I will try it outside again today with bright sunlight.

I used the improved one as well. My cousin was able to unlock my phone. It accepted his face instantly.

To those that like it and use it, that's great. To me it's just another useless piece of crap bloatware. Most of the time it doesn't work properly, and i wish they would stick to improving the core features of the phone. Sometimes a great device can be made even better by having a little less.
Face unlock will switch to the keypad faster when lighting is low. I've been given the message "low lighting" and had it go to keypad faster than normal quite a few times.
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Wow, really? I I'd say I have about a 20% success rate. And I've "improved face matching" several times.
That's no good. Does your cousin look a lot like you ? Did you take the initial pic in low light? Can you start over?

When it was first demoed by samsung or whoever didn't it fail on stage? It always makes me laugh a little when something that's supposed to be fantastic fails onstage or in front of a bunch of people. Not sure it works with the sunglasses. You'd need to wear them every time you wanted to unlock it.
I don't think it was gimmicky, but I did check task manager when I set it up and seen it burning through resources.. Just seemed harsh

It learns, it works for me with sunglasses reading glasses and or no glasses. Go into the settings and have it scan you with your glasses on should work from then On glasses or no.glasses.
I also have it scan my face in different lightings

I don't use a lockscreen, I use nolock. I wish there was a way to disable it in the system
My facelock is working great! Probably around 85-90%
And I've done the improving a few times.
Mine worked great when I used it for a day or two, but I could only handle so much of my ugly mug looking back at me every time I picked up my phone...

Just make sure its level
I have to tilt mine downward at a 45° angle (screen up & towards the tv).
Also I couldn't get it to work with my Comcast boxes. I think the reason it won't connect to the boxes is because it uses the power button to sync. These boxes don't power off. They have a power button, but a press does nothing, and a long press reboots them. Anyone else run into this, or have a work around?

You can always using the learning feature if you have the original remote.
Edit: If its a wifi remote then it might be a little more tricky.

I agree, the way that it works makes it virtually unusable. Tried on 3 different TVs and the same with every one. They were all different brands so that was not the issue.
I couldn't get it to control my LG TV, but it worked fine on my nephew's Samsung. Now it works if I'm closer. Maybe my case is the problem.
I think because it's on top it has to be pointed directly at it, as to where my Flex, I could have the touchscreen facing me and it still works. Belive IIRC goes off the camera. Worked like a charm!
Weird. Mine works great. I programmed every device in the house, office, and a couple of friends houses. One Samsung Blu Ray player I had to use the learning feature, but everything else just worked.
mine is hit or miss, the one of the note worked better but IMO for me being too lazy to get the remote and use my phone I am ok with hitting the button a few times to make sure tv pops on.

Top of the camera has two holes. The pin size one is probably a mic, the bigger one I'm guessing is IR.
If it works better for some of you, do you have a case?

I have a case. So the one on the g3 is on the camera as well? Because i see what looks like a it blaster on top of my phone. Would be why it would need to be pointed right at the TV I assume.
I should try it out, however honestly I generally use the remotes still, lol!

A lot of the cable boxes actually use an RF signal. SO this will not work with it period. But I could not tell you which ones....

I think that's the issue. Luckily I can use their app to control the box over a network.
It only sucks for me if I forget to angle it up...if you angle it above the device you are trying to change channel with I haven't had an issue.
Coming from the G2, I think the G3 IR blaster is a bit more finicky. I haven't had any problems syncing it to any of my devices. But I do need to be pointed nearly directly at the device. I think this is because the IR led is recessed. If you ever look at any of the remotes around your house, most of them have a IR led that protrudes out from the remote. Based on this logic, depending on the case you could see more interference..
I'm coming from the HTC ONE...which worked perfectly...now I have to have it pointed directly at the device to work.
Sent from my G³ via Xparent Blue Tapatalk²
I dont understand you guys, IR means inferred which means that remote and device need to have clear view of each other. RF is radio frequency which means remote and device do Not need a clear line of sight meaning it can bounce off of objects to reach device
