Is it normal that auto-brightness doesn’t work in camera mode? It is very hard for me to use the camera properly in stronger sunlight outside, the display is too dark and I can’t see nearly anything.
I’ve only found option “visibility outside“ but it doesn’t help much + this option is also disabled by default every time I start the camera again. Is it possible to somehow increase the display brightness in camera mode? Thanks
Is this a fault of the rom? [UnName 1.0.3]
or is it the stock app? Are there any better apps for using the camera that are faster and won't pause for 2 seconds after I've hit the shutter button?
[EDIT]
Also I do have blink detection and anti-shake on, but with these off, its about a half second or so quicker to shoot, still I would like a snappier shooter if possible as I would like to use my phone's awesome camera as a point and shoot. It would also be cool if the lock/power button could be used as a shutter button when in use with the camera app if possible.
Any tips?
I think the shutter delay issue is just part of the phone.
As to the power button question, I believe they are working on modding the camera apk presently to allow for the usage of that as well as using the camera at any battery level(it usually disables it below 15%)

Good to know, thanks. Hope the improvements roll out soon.
can somebody create mod that disable low battery notification?
Hi guys, i have recently enabled camera2api string with build.prop editor, so i tried some camera apps that have manual mode like Footej, Proshot and Manual camera. The main issue is that the maximum shutter speed that i can have is 1sec on Footej, how is this even possible? I'd like to take long exposure low ISO photos in the night, but it's not possible. Is there any setting to unlock? It's a pity to have that camera without this feature. I hope that someone could solve this, thanks and sorry for my english
nobody knows anything?
I'd love to know if long exposure is possible also
Hi,
I was told that it should be possible to activate the missing "mute camera sound" option within the camera settings of a Galaxy S23 Ultra (SM-S918B) by editing CSC codes.
Can somebody please explain
- whether it is possible and
- how it is done?
Thanks a lot!

If you only want to set this (no camera sound when taking pictures), you don't need to change csc. Just do a routine. If the camera is on, the system sounds are 0.
See the solution I noticed op S23+ forum:
Disabling camera shutter sound
Hi, Does anyone know if it's possible to disable the camera shutter sound (preferrably without disabling other sounds)? Kind regards
forum.xda-developers.com
The routines solution doesn't work for me.
I already tried, but it keeps the system sound on level 0 as long as the camera is not completely/really closed and still active in the background (after switching to home or another app, camera is still open within the list of previously used apps).
In my S23 Ultra Camera Settings there is Shutter Sound On/Off switch. With it turned off, there is no sound; but there is vibration feedback, also with an On/Off switch, when the shutter activates.
Possibly, you don't have a European S23U?
Is there possibly any app outside there, which "does the trick"?
Up to now, I found "Camera Mute beta" on Google Play Store. But this one doesn't work on S23U (while it perfectly worked on my old Huawei).
