Ever sense I installed GB I've been missing the grass live wallpaper, and the galaxy live wallpaper a ton. The galaxy I know would look good with a gingerbread theme. Does anyone have this file and know how to get the wallpapers back?
Did you ever find this ???
They are both part of LiveWallpapers.apk in /system/app on gingerbread. Here's the apk in case you are missing it:

Don't forget that thanks button!

All I get is - process.com wallpaper stopped unexpectedly - force close;
Any ideas???

Use root explorer to navigate to /system/app. Mount as r/w and find livewallpapers.apk long press it and choose permissions. Check every option. Save changes, change mount back to r/o. Also run "fix permissions" in rom manager. Reboot and you should be good.

Also download "no lock" to disable the stock lockscreen
What's 'no lock'? I thought just using a lockscreen app would get rid of that one and put another one I want?
Yes, it puts it "on top", but doesn't completely replace out like out works with home launchers, abd eventually, the stock lockscreen pops up on top of your custom one.
No Lock disables the default keyguard so you can use a custom one without issues.

Be careful, once you use no lock the genius button can wake the phone and place calls.

If you are rooted, you can remove the HTC lockscreen app from /system. The default froyo lockscreen is just being overridden by that app.

Rock on! I always hated that lock screen! *presses easy button*
I would also add that a reboot is necessary.

I used root explorer to move the htclockscreen.apk and the odex files to my sdcard, got the standard froyo lockscreen. Moving it back didn't put the htc lockscreen back though, I still have the standard froyo. Now that I got rid of it, I kind of want it back, lol.
Actually, this may be a problem, I may need to exchange my Mytouch. Even a factory reset doesn't do it. I've wiped and restored it, still have the stock froyo lockscreen. The files are back in system/app, but I can't get it back somehow.
Try re installing the apk in the root folder, the n reboot, I haven't tried , just a theory
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Tried that, nothing. I may just need to find a stock rom to flash now.
Did you reboot it after install
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
It wouldn't let me install, "application not installed". And yes, I had it mounted r/w. It's in there, it just isn't seeing it.
I tried, same here, I even tried fix permission in rom manager with no luck ...

Hmm, I think I should bring this up as a separate thread, this could be an issue if anyone needs to go back completely to stock.
Quick question though, do you ever see the left slide bar missing every now and then? Sometimes when I turn the screen on the left slide bar is invisible, but it shows when I touch it.
4 shared.com search for "go to .apk"
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Yeah the left side did that to me too, luckily I did a nandroid right after root, took me back to stock. If you didn't, do that next time!
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
once this is doe is there anyway to get a picture on the background of the froyo background
I uninstalled the htc lockscreen on mine but I did a nandroid backup beforehand, and after doing that I just did a restore and it came back to working fine, don't know if that helps anyone out any
I'm looking for the icon set that is used in this Launcher Pro Dock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074472. I actually need to see if I can have someone make me one that says "HPCC" in White and "EMAIL" in Lime Green.
I've searched for the last 5 hours and cannot find the icons.
Also, I'm looking to flash the Modern Warfare Android Boot Animation screen. Anyone have any help? Since the zip is in system/media I cannot delete or edit them, unless I'm doing something wrong?
use root explorer for the boot animation and click mount r/o ate the top right corner before u try and delete or paste something in the folder

i was wondering if anyone could make a flashable zip so we can have this locksreen instead of the sense one.
the locksreen is found in this rom

would be highly appreciated devs!
What I did, was to rename the htc.lockscreen.apk to htc.lockscreen.bak with root explorer and reboot the phone without locking it. If you do it, you have to get other clock for the alarm.
Sent from my OC EVO 3D
If you get the app "widgetlocker" from the market you can do that, and have all the cm7 lockscreen options too.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
Ill pass on the Widget locker thanks. And were is that apk located and can I do it over adb instead of root explorer?
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA App
I think you can do it via adb, the app its located at /system/app, remember to use other clock for alarm, because the android lockscreen doesnt work with the alarm snooze message.
I downloaded a live wallpaper and it was said to "push it". How do you do this?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda premium
Easiest way is to use your file explorer and put it in /system/app, set your permissions and reboot.
In the way you are talking about, "push" is a general term. There is another way that uses ADB and pushes the apk to system or another partition. But for this, just do the above.

OK I moved it to system/app, I am using root explorer, I am not understand how to set permissions. It lists 3 choices.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda premium
Longpress the apk and a menu will pop up. Hit Permissions (make sure you are r/w in top right corner of Root Explorer).
Permissions are
First column - all checked.
Second column- only the top is checked
Third column - None are checked
Should look like an upside down L

Should look like this. Pay no attention to the Clockopedia at the top.

Copy the Weather and Circle Widget into System/Apps and set permissions. Install the Launcher like an usual app and profit.

I did put it there but I dont know how to set permissions? -_-

Use an root explorer. All of them got an option to set permissions. Just longpress on the App and set them like on the screen. You maybe have to reboot after that to see the Widget in Drawer.
BTW: Make an backup of the OG weather.apk

I did What you said but I keep getting an error - problem loading widget.
Edit: works now, I had to overinstall homescreen with permissions. Thanks.

You need unpack homescreen.apk and take libs folder files then copy this files to lib folder in your system then weather widget work forever, otherwise you need reinstall homescreen after each reboot.
By the way, there is full pack with weather and quickview http://d-h.st/u29
thanks
Nearly the best launcher with nice Widgets, but I'm missing the Option to modify Desktops columns and rows count
is there any way to add it?

It's like that on all JB roms, there's an image mismatch since the launcher is from ICS. You'll have to wait for someone to get the JB launcher ported.
It works very well.
But when I restart my phone, launcher works fine but there is " a problem loading widget". How to solve this?
The proper procedure to all having problems is this :
Follow this to install on new JB leak:
RAZR M Laucher:
- Copy launcher to system/app
- Set permission to RW-R-R
- Tap on the the file just copied and do a double installation to overwrite system app
- Make a copy of homescreen.apk
- Change the .apk extension to .zip
- Extract using winrar or winzip
- Locate the files 'libnative_renderer.so' & 'libtexture_mem.so' inside the folder 'armeabi' under lib folder
- Copy both files to system\lib folder and overwrite any existing files and set permissions rw r r
- REBOOT
- Install 3d circles and weather in any order
Circle Widget 3D:
- Install as normal app
Weather:
- Install as normal app
Follow these directions and everything will work just fine!
Mike
