Looks cool though...
Looks great and still like a prototype

looks like a very wishful concept to me, the price of manufacturing a phone like that at the moment seems like it would be ridiculous
flip phone
It would seem that great design is not the preserve of SE any more. Imagine if this came with a dual core cpu. It would be a smash hit. That's if its actually an upcoming phone and not just a concept. Well I suppose let's wait and see.
To see how technology improves from 2000-2011 its amazing!!!
It's absolutely beautiful.
The concept is good but using the middle screen may be uncomfortable.
It's very much a functional fashion accessory.
Looks like something that will be scratched up in no time?
Sent from my X10x using XDA App
Great concept, but I don't think it is real and won't be real... Better use a phone that thinner then that.
Why would you need 3 screens? Imagine the battery life..
wow,it's amazing!
3 screens,i think the phone really need 3 batteries.
I loved the video the concept looks nice but this is gonna eat alot of battery in no time !

i went to www.idkul.com and read about and it is real ! they only developed few of them like 10 or so for testing purposes ! OH EM F GEE!
Yeah, instead of swiping in order to change the homescreen, you turn the whole phone
Overall looks very stylish!
it is just a concept by Nokia, there are so many others as well. i dont think they would ever see daylight officialy by Nokia. Chinese alternatives are already out

Maybe they should make a few prototype to sell on the market and see how it goes? Im prettt sure it would be an instant hit! But i kinda find it quick too techy?
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
I agree that they should produce a few of them, but still. That things is bigger then a phone. I think a phone would function much better then this, and also will be cheaper?
it's just a prototype... if it's real it will be released after about 1 or 2 years and it will Once again be too late, since there will already be quad core phones.

Whoa Mozilla labs has plans to build their own OS based on android. Its just a concept right now but its crazy to see how far technology could go. The original article was on gizmodo but I thought id share since were all bored and arguing around here anyways. I looked for this before I posted it and couldn't find anything similar in the 3D section.
Here's the video.

That video has been around for a while but the news about them building an OS using Android is new. Sounds like a UI on top of Android to me though.

Ahhh yeah does sound like a custom UI sort of like sense but the article said they arent adopting java; could be interesting. I know im late i barely found that video lol.
If that thing was ever built, it'd be the most expensive smartphone that has ever existed, haha.
Can't imagine the battery life on that thing.
I saw that about a year ago and I don't think we are much closer to it being realistic. It looks amazing but I think we are years away from anything close to that.

Damn its that old lol sheesh; yeah battery life would probably be god awful, you'd need a backup generator in your house to keep it going lol. @buckley im sure it would at least be 1000 at minimum.

I need to patent my idea of a solar cell on the back of phones. I read about this a while back.

Although they don't have the same sensor technology for typing and stuff, you have been able to order phones with built in PICO projectors from overseas forever. I own a Pico projector seperately and it is awesome. Not much bigger than the 3VO. Well, like 3 times thicker, but can fit in your pocket.
Again, they've been making them for years overseas, so why the have to pretend being able to project your phones screen on to the wall is some future concept is silly. I know it has a lot more features than that, so it is a concept phone. But I just think it's interesting that projector part has such a wow factor when they are made everyday.
This is from CES 2009. A Samsung phone for Korea:

Amazing! Any news on when it will be out?
will it be open source? for ports to HP touchpad cuz I doubt they'd do it if they care about 'consumer experience'
the UI does look amazing...its exactly what I wanted from a tablet
Its running on ICS, wouldn't it be possible to do distribute this as a custom launcher with its own widgets.
Either way its nice to see other companies taking advantage of the Android source and adding their own enhancements to it. Some call it fragmentation, but its no different than Linux distros. In the end the user gets the power to customize even more.
Why is Bud Bundy on their website?
On a serious note, Teknision has some real pretty eye-candy on their site.
But aside from contributing to the PlayBook interface, it looks like all they have done so far is prototypes.
The demo looks good but they are pandering to the OEMs, not the consumers.
If anything, I think you might see this on a very expensive, yet to be produced device.
Maybe next year.
Can't a Dev come up with something like that for us in the free world (donations given obviously), because stock Android on tablets in general has yet to impress me.

The world revolves around money... i cannot express how lucky we are to have the community we do, and the software that has come from it. Sadly, i see that community shrinking over time, not growing

In order to develop something like that, a developer would need to have the resources that teknison has, the man power that teknison has, the money that teknison has, and the test devices that teknison has.
none that neither I nor any other developer ever WILL have. so no, we cant come up with something like that. you cant just throw something like that together. its taken probably the better part of a year with a group of people to develop something like that.
So, time goes, but what are the news from Teknision about Project Chameleon?
I think I would get tired of this pretty quick. Transition animation is pretty cool but there is a point where I want things to open quicker and this just looks like a lot of graphics without adding anything all that great.
A lot of it depends on how whether it can be tailored to each persons wants. So many times I see something that looks cool on youtube but then you try it your self and it doesn't do what you want it to do.
Can this run flawlessly on CN ICS or classicnerd ICS?
Anybody give some feedback?
Minimum Tablet Requirements
Android 3.2 (HoneyComb) and newer
Device Type
Android Tablet
Display
1280 x 800 and above
Wont run on a Touchpad I guess.

Stock settings in Instagram.... in the first one I notice some pixel clipping. More evident here:

Try not using Instagram. Instagram tweaks the image too much so its hard to tell.
ugh dude you're really trying to tell us a picture looks good with INSTAGRAM!?
no. those filters look like **** dude. that's not good quality, i'm sorry. like the above poster said, take a picture with the camera app. don't use that instagram garbage.
Just wanted to hop in with some of my experience.
On my old HD2, I could see some quite improvement with the pictures when using an ICS rom compared to GB.
The light was brighter and the saturation was higher. Looked better than normal.
On my SGS3, I don't see that much difference though, but definitely on the HD2.

Hes trying to compare GB to ICS picture quality, not show off. But I would also recommended using the stock cam as its made for the our specific phone.
I noticed an improvement. My pics were coming out kind of yellow before ICS using all the presets. Now the colors are true. I'm happy about that.

What do you guys think about google glass? Ive used a pair a few times, someone at the university has one. I think they are pretty sweet to be honest. But I keep reading this crazy reviews about how people are going to be using it for "always on" video recording, discreet photos, surveillance..
And then there are the people who think its going to cause car accidents, promote inattention, etc. Others are complaining about the cost (which isn't even released yet) or the lack of apps (again.. not released..)
I don't understand the constant "doom and gloom" outlook the general population and the media have on this. 90% of their information is plain wrong, and the other 10% is misinterpreted..
its so irritating, and definitely "wtf" worthy

Right when you think you have seen it all, Samsung partners with a random “fashion designer” and shows off some of the most interesting accessories for the Galaxy Gear and Galaxy Note 3 we have ever seen. From what we can see in the pictures posted, there appears to be some custom-bedazzled wrist straps for the watch and a bedazzled-leather case for the Note 3. Yes, the way I view anything artsy is my own opinion, and I am sure others might like these looks, but they just don’t resonate very well with me.
There are gold metallic studs everywhere, and even a gold chain to allow the Galaxy Note 3 to dangle ever-so carelessly from your body. While I feel that these accessories are somewhat uninspired and play off of the long-dead gaudy punk trend, these look tacky and gross. On the other hand, if you have to put studs on a smartwatch for a girl to want to wear it, then so be it.
You can expect these accessories to launch sometime this month, alongside the Galaxy Gear smartwatch."
