Before i spend ours on the phone with sprint, i have an issue that maybe someone where knows the answer to.
On my HTC EVO 3d calendar (update has been installed), when u go to settings to pick which calendars are going to be shown .. all i see is my default gmail calendar instead of all the sub calendars created in my gmail account.
On my htc EVO 4g i can select which calendars to show under my gmail account. I have personal, work, vacation, etc and u can setup with different colors online.
Now on my 3d, i am not able to pick any of my additional calendars that i have created under my one gmail account.
Anyone else having same issue and or solution.
What does your version number show in about phone? I dont think I took the update, and mine works like it should. Mine is 1.11.651.3.

My version shows 1.13.651.7
so i am guessing that software update to fix force closures of calendar created another bug that not all Sub accounts under your gmail account will be available to display.
Had the same problem last night switching my old evo 4g to my wife's number. What solved it for me was
Settings > Applications > Manage Apps
and then clear data for calender storage
then go into accounts and sync and 'sync now' the gmail account. When it finished I had all my calenders back
Hope it helps

Is anyone else having this problem. this is very very important to me. it synced and then disappeared.
Mine is syncing. I sync my outlook work calendar to Google which syncs with phone. I had same setup on my evo 4g. I did not change anything in this setup.
Edit: I have accepted all otas
sent from my HTC EVO 3d using the premium XDA app.
You do the ota?

I wish the HTC email widget synced in real time like gmail does...there's a slight delay in that my gmail account gets it first and then the htc widget has to wait 5 mins...is there a way to sync the htc email as email comes in?
Mine syncs fine. No OTA.

Yes I did the ota.

I had issues with my gmail account syncing, then I realized that, somehow, I had not checked the box to sync gmail.
Check and make sure it's not something in your settings
I have multiple gmail calendars that all synced fine previously on my EVO 4g. Now, in the calendar app I only see the primary google calendar, not all the rest of my google calendars. The old HTC album allowed you to select which calendars, and add calendars to the list that are not actively being shown. after scratching around for 15min, I could find no such option to add the rest of my google calendars. I know they are visible, other programs acknoledge their presence. I have not done the OTA, but I may be doing it to see if it fixes this problem.
anyone that HAS done the OTA have difficulty with seeing multiple google calendars in HTC calendar app? anyone without the OTA have the same issue?
EDIT: did the OTA, still only see my primary google calendar, not all the other ones. anyone seeing more than one google calendar in the calendar app and know how to resolve? TIA.
did ota and made sure it was checked and still nothing. same problem as guy above me. anyone know of any fixes for this?
Had the same problem with my Fascinate, but found a fix. BEFORE you activate the device, any calendars you wish to sync MUST be viewable in the web version (i.e. load google cal, and click on each calendar you want access to on your roid so that that are all viewed at once). After this, go ahead and do the initial device setup. If you have calendars you want access to but dont want to view all the time, you can turn them off within your roids cal app.
new calendars that you add/create after initial setup seem to pull fine though. unfortunately, there does not appear to be a way to fix this AFTER your main gmail account is already added to the device. The only way to fix it at that point is to factory reset. Worked for me, hope it helps!
Facebook, sense, contacts, image, pictureebook acct and told it to sync to existing contacts and back when I had the OG evo the contacts would automatically be updated with their facebook profile picture. Currently after many syncing attempts, restarts, etc the contacts still don't have their facebook profile pics and when I go to edit the contacts manually to add them when I click on facebook it doesn't have a picture. Is anybody else having this issue? (btw all of the contacts I've tried to manually map all have facebook profile pictures) Does anybody know of a fix? Thanks in advance

I was having this issue also, and my issue was fixed by doing two things.
1) In facebook (website), under "Account Settings -> Apps" I deleted HTC Sense (basically revoking HTC Sense access)
2) In Android "Settings -> Accounts & sync" I deleted Facebook, then readded it and made sure Sync Contacts was checkmarked.
HTC Sense should ask again to be allowed access to Facebook. Once accepting, the contact's profile pictures started trickling in.
The thing is if you're running a custom rom, the rom dev may not have included "Facebook_Client.apk" and "FacebookEngine.apk" which are essential to syncing facebook with htc sense.

thanks a lot...deleting the app from facebook and the phone fixed it...appreciate your help!!
Thanks for the tips, I was wondering why the syncing didn't work because I had to go into each contact and link them individually, which of course was a pain

I just updated my Sprint Evo 3d to ICS last night and before I learned that you can't see Facebook contact images in 3rd party apps without some tinkering I deleted my gmail and Facebook accounts from the phone thinking that would help. When I put my accounts back Facebook only automatically linked half of my contacts. I selected the option to sync with existing contacts. Is there any way to get it to automatically link the rest? I don't want to manually link 100+ contacts. Is there a way to manually trigger the linking? Also, I don't know if it matters, but before the ICS update I had Facebook and Facebook for sense on the phone. Now it is only Facebook.
The other 100 might now have a phone number linked to fb or the names are, diffrent or you don't have an email for them or some kind,of linking info I'm your phone but the fb app should allow you to resync the people in settings I think

All the names are identical so that isn't a problem and they linked perfectly fine when I first got the phone with gingerbread. When I first set up the phone periodically the phone would alert me to possible contact links every so often until they were all linked. It isn't doing that now.

Sitlet I think that is for a different issue. My problem isn't that 3rd party apps can't get the pictures (well that WAS my problem originally), it is that the link is not being established in the first place. I can fix the picture issue but I need the phone to prompt me about potential links between the contacts so I don't have to do it manually. The fix in that thread won't LINK my contacts right? It will just allow 3rd party apps to get the contact photos.
In case anyone cares, it took about 48 hours and last night I received the prompt suggesting I link contacts. I have no idea why it would take so long to trigger but all is well in the world now. Thanks to those who tried to help.

I bet it's facebook's problem. They've been having a lot of issues with the mobile app. Mine, along with many other people, has been logging out and having problems with sync lately.

Yeah for a few days it forced me to login every time. It wasn't just the mobile app though it was doing it to me on the regular web version as well.
Now that I have this all figured out it leads me to my next question. I used syncmypix to grab the high quality images from FB instead of the **** low rez ones that it imports itself and it synced it to my gmail account. However, the phone is set to default to the FB picture not the Google version. I can go into each contact and tell it to use the gmail photo but once again, I would rather not have to do that. Anyone know of a batch way of doing this?
On my HTC EVO 3D, whenever I had to add a contact, I would first make sure the contact type is "Google" [email protected], and then type in the info and save.
I'm able to pull up that contact on my phone but when I go to my PC and go to gmail.com and look under my contacts, it's not there, not even in "other contacts". It doesn't seem like it's being saved to my google account.
What am I doing wrong?
Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Ok, just noticed something weird.
Under the accounts & sync setting for my google/gmail, my Sync Contact was last updated on Aug 14, 2012. And even if I hit sync now, it doesn't sync and still shows that same date. How do I fix this?

My father's stock, unrooted 3d had this exact problem. In fact, the last date synched even was the same (or close). Neither i nor the Sprint techs could figure it out, so when he got a new phone (digitizer issue), it was fixed.

This point here kind of confuses me. Have you checked/enabled "internet" syncing for this account? i assume you know where you could selectively turn off and on syncing different items for an account. how did you conclude that internet does not sync for one account?
Syncing is been the basics of smartphones and i don't expect this to be a bug somewhere.
If you have got the time, i would suggest a system reset.
Just for clarification, are you saving numbers and it is not syncing back to your Google account? I had this problem when I first got this phone since I am used to AOSP Roms. I noticed that I did not change my "Contact Type" to my Google account when saving new contacts. The default saves to your phone if you do not select another account. I am not sure if this is the issue you are experiencing. Good luck.

Yes that's right in the area where you can selectively choose what to sync the only thing that's ever an error is the internet for one account that says" sync is experiencing troubles please try again later "
I'll try a reset tonight and see what happens ....

When you create a new contact it has a box that says "Contact Type". If you do not change it to Google, it will default to be saved on your phone only. That is all I can think of if you are saving a contact and it is not syncing. Unless it is a syncing problem throughout your phone.
