I am using simi weather on my Atrix and I would like for it to open the go weather app when I touch the simi weather icon. How do I do this? Is it possible? When I assign go weather to the simi weather icon it just opens the settings......any ideas?

in the launcher settings, tap on "App for tap 1." You'll see it in the "Tap action weather" section.
then just select the app you want to open.
the next step is to tap on the "Tap style weather" section. When the pop-up menu appears, select "Single."
Be sure to click "Ok" on the top left of the settings section you're on. You'll then be sent one screen back. Tap on "Save" in the upper left hand corner.
that should do it.
That worked perfectly. Then I realized, that I wanted to open the beautiful weather lite weather thing not go weather.
Beautiful weather shows more than one day where simi shows one day which I like but I would like to tap it and have the weather open like beautiful weather does. Is this possible?

i'm guessing all you have to do is select the beautiful weather app instead of the go weather app.
since the widget on your desktop is set to open when you tap it now, you'll have to access the simi weather app from your app drawer and change the "App for 1 tap" app from there.
I tried that and it sends me to the settings of beautiful weather instead of the actual weather popup. So I am not sure what to do.

GoWeather is TOP app for me, because It can find my location. Other apps couldn't find my location
GoWeather is beautiful, and has awesome skins *-

I'd like to know if it's possible to create a proper shortcut to launch widgetlocker; I know there's an activity shortcut when adding it to desktop, but I'd like to start widgetlocker using the swipe up action of adw launcher and in order to do that it needs to be a simple shortcut to the app.
Anyone knows how to do that?

muy buena app
Hi, just Did that on my Defy. with Go Launcher, but should be the same with ADW
go to settings , select wipe up or down, then choose shortcut, there you should find an entry Widget Locker Lock now. Choose it. and you're done.
Thanks, but as I said before adw launcher lets me choose only from the installed apps (the ones which appear in the app drawer), therefore I cannot select "widgetlocker lock now".

Hi, that's because on ADW it's not in the apps section. Don't click "applications" on the main shortcut selection list. Just scroll down.
Any recommendations for a Weather Widget that has the option of having a manual refresh button on the widget? I'd also like multi-day forecast on the widget, transparent background, and other cool options...but can't seem to find good ones with a way to manually refresh by just clicking a button on the widget.
Beautiful Widgets though it doesn't have the refresh directly on the widget, you can easily reach it be touching the widget
Hd widgets. The best you can get. It's a paid app but its very customizable and will refresh weather on tap

When I tap the widget, it opens the app where you have to hit a refresh button in there. Is there a way to just refresh simply with 1 tap of the widget?
I also couldn't find where you can turn off auto updating, allowing for manual updating only...
I'm not sure why there aren't more weather widgets out there that have a manual refresh on the widget itself, rather than forcing you to open the widget, etc, in order to refresh. I personally don't like auto-updates to be running, but I want a 1-tap method of refreshing the weather info.
Anyway, in case anyone else is looking for the same thing, I did find Palmary Weather Pro that has this functionality. Overall, it's a pretty solid app imo, although it'd be nice to have a few more options within the app to customize things. It'll also be nice to have other app options, because Palmary looks like it hasn't been updated in a while. BeWeather was another one with the manual refresh option, but it is a pretty limited app. So if anyone else finds another one, please post here.
I also found Elecont Weather (or eWeather HD), which can be set to never auto-update, but to manual refresh when just tapping the widget. This app has a lot of widget options and can be customized quite a bit. Getting the widgets looking just right took a while due to all of the various options, but this app seems solid.
I use a Pure Calendar Widget, and had it configured to launch Jorte when I tapped it. It worked fine until I made the widget scrollable. Now it won't launch Jorte even if I tap on the top left corner as suggested - it launches some sort of day view instead.
Has anyone else noticed this problem? Is there any way that a scrollable widget can be made to launch Jorte when you tap it?
I like the app but hate the widget...so is there a way to do this?
Grab AnyCut (F-Droid has it), create an AnyCut shortcut on the home screen and set its activity to WeatherWidgetMain

cool, lemme try that out.
Well, Any Cut crashes on my gs3....any other ideas?
Are you trying to add the shortcut by running AnyCut from its icon in the application drawer? Instead, make space for a shortcut on your homescreen and drag AnyCut from the Widgets section of the application drawer. It works for me on both Nova Launcher Prime and the TouchWiz Launcher. I forgot to state this earlier, sorry about that, but the shortcut takes you to the list of cities you configured - even if there's only one - so you must select your city in order to see the overview.
Resolved.
There is actually a Galaxy S3 Weather app on Play Store that creates an app shortcut for the default Accuweather widget.
It will be handy if Any Cut works on the GS3 though.
Has anyone figured out how to add the Google weather widget to the stock Huawei Home launcher?
When I try to add it it doesn't do anything. Works fine on other launcher like Nova or Evie.
I found a workaround, there is an app called Frog Weather in the app store that opens up Google weather.
Same function as the shortcut which Huawei home can't create for some reason!!
I always use the standard huawei weather widget.. Works great. What's the difference with Google widget?
Not a massive difference. I just like the Google weather app better than accuweather, that's all.
I am using "Another widget" you can download the app from the play store. It looks the same as the pixel 3 at a glance widget but has more functionality.

Thanks for that but that doesn't seem to work for me on any Huawei phones. Somehow the launcher is preventing the widget from being created. But the Frog Weather app is a good workaround.
