Now that we are unlocked and many of us have installed the new recovery, how do we uninstall the old system recovery. Uninstall is greyed out in the application manager for me.

I wonder what FW do you use?
Every time i try to install the xda developers app from the play store i get this error Cannot install to USB storage or sd card. I tried to change the install location via terminal but that didn't change the error. I have tried to restore via titanium backup and that just fails.
I am currently on eclipse 1.2 via bootmenu installed as my second ROM.
Figured out problem.. eclipse.. installed aokp and everything works great

Hi guys. I guess ive screwed up. Am no pro to custom roms and stuff all I can do and always do is root my mobile and use link2sd for extra downloading and delete unnecessary apps like wisepilot and stock demo games.
The issue is with my market it has updated, and I downloaded a number of apps via it this evening. But from the past few hours its not getting started. When trying to download the message appears (starting download) but doesn't. Ive reinstalled the googleapp via flashtools via rootmanager, reinstalled by the option via link2sd, restored my backup via xrecovery, deleted the cache, but none of these worked. Please help

Me too!
I'm having the same issue and am not finding a solution anywhere. Were you able to?
Mine was able too after 4.2 zip.
Anybody?... Am I forever stuck with 4.2? I can't possibly be the only person this happened to...

What about deleting with TB, or changing properties to r/w in Root Explorer and deleting manually? Then redownload from PS.

You won't be able to what fizzledizzle said because we don't have system permission while booted so neither tibu or root explorer will work it will just reappear when you reboot. What you have to do is remove it using adb while booted into recovery

The new app is now in the play store, so you can remove your flashed one (make sure you have adb and necessary drivers installed):
1) adb reboot recovery
2) adb shell mount -o rw /system
2.5) if that doesn't work run adb shell mount -o rw,remount /system
3) adb shell rm /system/app/Gmail.apk
Now you can install the one from the market, but if you find one you like online make sure the .apk is signed (I'm pretty sure that's your problem).
