my phone said I had an update for Tango but when I clicked on it it said the request could not be found.. so I searched for it in the market and no result. I got on the computer and searched it on the market and it is no where to be found. What happened to Tango???
EDIT: did a google search and got the market link. Pulled it up but no install/uninstall/download/any button
Tango's back. just went back to the page and it is up and running again! Let the video chats continue!

Something odd has happened to me my Market. I can see and select applications to download. But I just get the progress bar and "starting download" and not happens.
It's always been fine for me until, would you beleive it, I read the above, and then for the first time just now I got the same. How did you do that?
perhaps just a temporary problem with the server; I cancelled the download, and then installed again, and it was fine...
Restore my back image and all working now.
I think I must of deleted something required for the Market place to work. I think it was gtalksevice or imProvider...
"staring download"
Well, for me it hasn't worked a single time yet. I can only see the starting download progress but it never actually starts.
Can anyone help please.
P!
I've seen this maybe five times. Only thing that helps is booting the phone, which sucks, because then Market will autostart and start downloading right away and I don't have time to run market enabler in between. Once market has been started, it won't show paid apps until I boot and start market enabler first.
Edit: today I found I can run market enabler after starting Market, browsing some and killing it. I could swear it hasn't worked before!
Market requires the gtalk service to be running.
Market web installs from "market android com" never start. ('m not allowed to post links)
Under "My Devices" in the settings page it shows my Atrix, It has a "Registered on" date (today) but it doesn't have a "Last Used" date (it shows a dash).
I have followed all the suggestions on the help page. (log in, log out)
My Market App version is 2.3.2.
Google Talk works. The Market App works. Clearing Data and Cache for the Market doesn't help any.
I'm signed in with a regular Google account. (not an apps account)
Any suggestions?
This might sound obvious, but have you tried restarting it or resetting it?
Yep. Lots of restarts.
Does the market work on anyone else's Atrix or is it just me?
I read somewhere that if you open Google Talk and sign out then sign back in, it should get the market web installs working because of a communication problem.

Yeah, that's on the help page. Didn't work.
Empty market cache, and uninstall market upgrades (if any). Had the same problem before with other phones, I do not think this is atrix specific.
Getting the market to upgrade afterwards required some manual steps as well. Too lazy to look that up now though, just google it.

I emptied the cache and uninstalled updates. On the first launch I got the old market, on the second launch it had upgraded back to the new one. I also tried a reboot. Still doesn't work. Good idea though, thanks.
Bump! Any fixes for this? I'm having the same issues. The Market web store even lists my phone being last used on Feb 25 (the last day it was pushing app downloads from my computer). However, when I download apps from my phone, it shows up on my account online.

I thought I was having this same problem, but I was in battery saver mode and had auto-sync disabled. After re-enabling it, the downloads just began automatically.
I had the same issues at first and tried all th above fixes and the ones on the google help page. nothing worked at first. i waited a few hours and tried downloading again and everything worked fine. i can't really explain how but it just started working.
I have had this problem for 5 days =/ Now I just chrome to phone the link and open it with market =/ I have done all the above, contacted Google and posted at Motorola Site. Nothing works.
Darn I am having the same issue. Just got my Atrix an hour or two ago...so we will see what happens. I'll try and keep you updated.
Edit: Mine just started working, so I don't know what the problem with yours is. Hope you get it worked out.
I have same problem here with my Hd2 DFT android Rom maket works fine but it never start downloading any apps :/ please some help ??!!
Do you have apps/the market to update only on wifi? And you haven't opened the apps to have them generate an, "I'm here", marker for the market to send you stuff, when you were hooked up to wifi?
I wondered the same thing...
Good news guys Google talk was not working for me so I re flashed my phone and reconfigure it now Google talk work and market too I don't know if it will works for you but for me it working great now hope it help a bit
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Port 5228
This may not help everyone, but I ran into this same problem.
Each day, my downloads weren't sent to my phone and my gmail wasn't pushing consistently, but by the time I got home, everything seemed to be working again. I noticed that I was also unable to log into google talk on my office's wifi (which seems to be the key to getting everything else to work). A coworker with a samsung android phone was having the same problem.
We worked with our network administrator to unblock certain ports on the wifi firewall. We finally resolved this issue by opening port 5228. Now everything is pushing correctly. See if this port is blocked on your wifi.
The weird thing that kept throwing me off is that even if I switched off wifi and used ATT, it was still having problems for a period of time.
I am having a bit of a weird situation and I was wondering if other's are experienceing it as well.
I am trying to install Go Contacts onto my wife's Atrix, and for some reason, I cannot install the app on her phone because the market says that it is unavailable for this device. Now I just installed this app on my Atrix only a few days ago so something is wrong.
I figured I would take a break and fix this problem later, but when I went back to search for the app in the market, it doesn't show up anymore. When I search 'Go Contacts' or "Go Contact" all I get are themes with no link to the app.
When I go to the Go Dev Team's website and click download, I get an error in the market that the url can't be found. The strange thing is, when I am signed into the market under my username, I can load the Go Contacts page (with a link through the GDT's website, still can't find it in the market), and the page says that the app is compatible with my Atrix. If I copy that link into another browser with my wife's username signed into the market, I get a link that says the url can't be found.
I know that I can just pull the apk off my phone and install it on her's, but then I don't get the auto updates from the market, plus I don't like when things don't work right.
There was an update to Go Dialer yesterday and it seemed pretty buggy (only showing 50 of my 200 contacts). They might have pulled it to fix up the problems
Correct, it's back and fixed.
Swifted from my Atrix.
My sony arc isnt downloading from the market saying its declined..... Anyone had this how do i solve it
sent from one of many devices
Had this earlier with my arc. Tried to update google+, download seemed to go ok then got a pop up saying app not signed??? OK now tho
sinkster
Don't use pirated apps , But if you legitemately purchased them, you could try downgrading your market, or clear your market cache.
this can happen if the app is removed from the market i have found that the app panda home even thou i could find it on the market it was removed but click on the notification it should tell u why
[RESOLVED] Download Declined Error
File this case under stupid user tricks:
I kept getting this error when trying to download a purchased app from the Google Market. The app showed in the market as purchased but as soon as it started to download the error would pop up: "Download declined".
Finally I remembered I had originally gotten the app from Getjar. When I went there the app downloaded with no problems. In the future I will need to remember the source of each purchased app, Amazon, Getjar, Market etc. Hope this helps some other bumbler like me.
I have a G Tablet that I've been running on stock firmware until today. I had downloaded a couple of apps (Angry Birds and something else I never used) but most of the time my tablet sat and waited until I heard there was a reasonably stable Honeycomb ROM to install. Today I took the plunge.
Installation of ClockWork went without a hitch. Installation of the ROM (GTabComb 3.3) went without a hitch. I booted up the first time and entered the GMail account I've had for years. I got the "Unable to process purchase" error. I googled, I found a thread that walked me through deleting the account info and clearing the cache info. Then, instead of re-entering my old GMail account, I set up a whole new account from the G Tablet. On finishing it gave me an error that the account was created, but it was unable to store the account info on my tablet. I still get the purchase error. I've tried the work-around a few threads mention, but the app market website says I have no device associated with my account. I've gone into Settings>About and all the entries for type of tablet, etc. are blank. I'm guessing this is the problem (but realize my guess could be totally off).
Is there anything I can do that I haven't already? I've read posts about the market until my eyes are bleeding, and I've found nothing that will let me get past this.
