Second. And someone said that andriodpolice said its bogus, but the validity of that it just as questionable as that of the update article itself.

I read in a post by a Verizon Wireless employee that there is no update coming for HTC Thunderbolt users to GB on June 30.

I know but its nice to dream about a company actually trying to fix something they obviously know about.

I don't know about June 30 but it's up next

Moto has not announced a release date yet. Any dates or timelines are pure speculation.

I am pretty sure they said some time in July and maby August, but these are not hard dates and can change easily.
It won't be released

July has just started and August is very far
Add to that they do not even reply on twitter ..
Anyone knows about international phones/carriers? I'm from Brasil, and don't really care about ATT/Bell/etc (sorry the honesty). I guess the update comes from Moto, right? Not from the carriers. Anyone?
Sent from my awesome rooted Atrix
Well the last few updates have been at the end of the months.
Also, I do not recall moto ever saying july. I believe that was just a prediction from brief mobile. Nor have I heard any rumors regarding SOAK test.
Sounds like the droid 3 is launching very soon, and the new moto flagship LTE bionic is launching early August.
So, most likely we will see a limited release toward the very end of July and a full release sometime in August.
I Hope im wrong and that this post is irrelevant by the time I press "submit"

I believe on the Motorola Owners Forums they said they were going to begin soak testing--near the end of June.

I haven't heard rumors about soak test either. I heard fact from forum manager Mark on the Moto forums telling people they would begin selection for soak very soon, everyone should update their info if needed, and 1000 people will be picked from the total pool with priority going to people who contribute on the Moto forums. This was a week or so ago.

ICS update could be soon?

I know this is getting a little old to see on here but I thought I would just pass on the news. One of casual members over at atrix 2 forum found an ics leak using cheesecake for the att version of the phone just a few days ago yesterday Jim posted how to properly flash the new update(leak) of ICS.
Here's why I know we will get the update. The atrix 2 was one of the most currently under appreciated android device to come from Motorola in awhile. No advertisement. Just simply came out. The photon may have been out a few months longer but its resell value is still higher than the atrix 2 and has sold far more than the atrix 2. Please don't doubt Motorola on the ics updates. It will come out and it feels like only a matter of weeks or month before someone here finds a leak using cheesecake or some other method. Keep your chins up
Sent from my MB855 using xda app-developers app
Even if Motorola released ICS for the Photon today it'd probably take them another 60 days to release the source code and drivers.
Actually I just checked and it seems they released the latest source code about 3 weeks before the OTA went live so maybe we'll get lucky.
Atrix*2* will have the update sooner, because it's OMAP device, like razor, bionic, droid4... It's easy to make it, if you have it already for one of them. ;-)

You are borderline trollin right now lex. Just let it go, don't be 'that' guy. And xda is supposed to be a source of information, hence it is closely related to a classroom. Every post that isn't at least somewhat informative is considered spam. "Motorola sucks" falls in that category and you should have known you were about to get flamed for sayin it.
I wouldn't write it better, even in my mother language.

Its my opinion and I can say it anyway I feel, this is a open forum, so that would mean this very post is spam also.

Man, you started, if you look at the sequence of posts. Please, let it be...
So far for this being the first leak for the att atrix 2 its running flawlessly. The bug report thread for the build has not reported any major bug so far. So for just a leak Motorola did a great job with ics this ics. And did one of you say earlier that source was released? Were you talking about the tegra2?

Why are you so negative? If you hate Motorola so much and have such low standards for them then please leave the thread or provide useful information. If you have information about source being released in 8 months then post it rather than making assumptions based on your distaste for Motorola

Kernel Source for Latest release - RELEASED!

So I was reading HTC usually posts kernel source for phones 90-120 days after an update. The 120 day mark is here in the next week and a half or so. That'd be a nice thing to have, let's hope it happens!
EDIT:
htcdev.com release a new load of source code today, DINC 4G LTE Included it seems:
http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads
It's there, search for it.

me too, with it ill be able to port villes bricked kernel or other, if we do not recieve i propose we get their attention by emails
I agree, if we don't have it mid-month I think I may organize a campaign for us to do just that jose.
Sent from my Transformer using xda app-developers app
I agree with Jose, if we can get a kernal source we could all create our Roma at a faster pace and the dev community would rise. I just think we should put a petition to make them that we are aware of our kernal source to be released.

BTW, the RUU was leaked on Nov 12, 2012, so we're still nowhere near that 90-120 day mark.
Edit: I was wrong, RUU was released in early October. Evidence
The official update from Verizon was around October 15, so 90 days is in a few days here which is the date I was going off. Thanks for the email link! Im on it!

Yep
sometimes if you send enough threatening letters to htc that you are going to seek a legal remedy for their violation of the gpl it helps

At first I thought it was a mistake, but the supporting documentation comes straight from HTC with the Desire LTE branding. Funny.

I don't think it's coming for awhile after experiencing Samsung's delayed updates across multiple devices in the past few years
They might not have a choice, other companies are pushing Samsung to update sooner. Sony & HTC have been excellent the last couple of months in regards to software updates.

ALWAYS these articles are for international versions of the phone. Unless they specifically state "The US Carriers" in the article it is not for this device.
