I have an unlocked streak with streakdroid 1.6.1. My touch screen seems to work fine when the phone is unlocked but when the phone is locked the touch screen never works right. When I try to unlock the streak part of the screen doesn't work. Some times it's take many reboots and battery pulls to unlock the phone. Other times the touch screen works like it should. Does anyone know what the problem is? I'll upload a video with my wife's phone when she gets home.
Thank you,
Rymn!
Here are four threads that you would have found if you had searched first.
unable to unlock screen "screen totally unresponsive"
Touch Screen Unrsponsive after pocket time
sometimes can't unlock the phone with the slider
Fix for lack of screen response?
When your phone locks up try holding the power button for 15-20 seconds. Many times this will power down the phone and keep you from having to do a battery pull.
For possible answers to your screen problem read the other (many) threads already started about this.
you know, you unlock the screen and have auto brightness turned off...and if it's over 55% it auto dims a little, like 5 to 6 seconds after unlocking.
Still there?
It does, and I can't figure out how to stop it. It's extremely annoying.
Any help?
Hi Friends,
One problem which bother me a lot is knock on to wake up feature on LG V10. When I decided to turn my screen on as phone is on table, I have to use double tabs to wake up my phone and start using it. Sometimes it take 2 or 3 time of double tab screen to wake my phone up. You know, I have to try knock on feature twice or thrice to get in to my phone. This problem 60 % of time and it really annoying me a lot. It is worthwhile to say that knock feature for turning of screen is work nicely and 100 % of time without any lag. Is this a serious problem which I have to worried about?
Thanks guys.
This doesn't happen on my phone. When i tap twice it turns on every time. Maybe you can factory reset, and see if it solves the problem.
It happens to me a lot. It's not NEARLY as sensitive as on the G2/G3/G4. It takes almost 3x as many tries for me to get the Knock On to even work.

I'd estimate it to work on the first try about 70% of the time. Otherwise, I have to try again or a third time sometimes. My girlfriend's G4 has the same issue.
Hey guys! Just got my g5 last week and have so far been loving it- fastest Android phone I've used, and a huge improvement over its horribly buggy predecessor. That being said....
I've noticed a crazy unlock delay, but only when it's right after locking it (sometimes I shut off my screen and am like "Oh wait! I totally forgot to do X). When I go to turn the screen on, it stays black for awhile, and then shows an unresponsive screen for second or so before unlocking.
Sometimes it's just an extra second, other times a good 5-10 seconds. However, if I lock the phone and leave it alone for even 20-30 seconds, the screen turns on immediately. Has anybody else run into this? Is this normal?

I use the tap to wake feature a lot and sometimes when I tap it it doesn't do anything and I end up tapping it again and sometimes again after that. On my note 4 I used the wake lock app on it because Samsungs are known for slow wake and I'm using that app now too. It's in the play store. Now the tap to wake never fails. Granted your phone never sleeps but I like it better that way and it seems more responsive too. Could be placebo but I think I actually get better battery life with it because when you wake your phone out of deep sleep all the components are firing back up whereas here everything is always ready. Hope that helps.

Hmm thanks for the tip I'll give it a shot! I guess I figured with the always-on display enabled that it should be able to wake pretty quickly? I do hibernate my apps with Greenify so maybe that's affecting it. But I only get like 3 hours of screen on time even when hibernating my apps.

You're welcome. Yeah with that app I just set it to partial wake lock and I have no issues with it and my phone works great. Good luck!

Sweet. Took the plunge and went for a factory reset, and it completely solved the issue. Im thinking it was Verizon's security update they pushed to my phone the night that I was setting the thing up. SO relieved
Oh wow. Made my battery life amazing too. I unplugged for 5 hours and still only at 86%
Well that's great. Waiting for sprint to drop their update and I'll probably do the same.

Hi, I got my Elephone p9000 about a month ago and it's been running perfectly fine until the last few days. When I leave the phone locked for a while, and I try to unlock with my fingerprint, it will occasionally refuse to acknowledge i've placed my finger on the scanner, it can take up to 5 or 6 seconds until it unlocks, almost as if theres some kind of lag while the phone is asleep. This extends to locking the phone, if i'm in an app or on my home screen; and press the power button to lock the phone, sometimes it will just turn off the screen, not actually lock the phone, until 5 or 6 seconds later again, when I hear the lock noise and I'm back on the lock screen.
I've not changed anything, this has just started happening in the last week. If anyone has any ideas, i'd be very grateful for any help.
Thanks,
Holt
