What's the deal with Sprint advertising the EVO 3D being able to capture video in 1080p in 2D mode and 720p in 3D mode and only allowing max of 720p in 2D.

Turns out they meant the 3vo records in 720p and has 1080p playback available/
They haven't really advertised that since a couple of months ago.

I'm curious ... my 3VO records in basically full-screen video (when viewed on my computer) ... why would I want any more than that, and how could I even use any more than that?
It's really not that big of a deal unless ur looking at it on a 50" tv or bigger..720p is still great as long as the fps is smooth
True question is why we for the old camera app unlock the sensation which has the new one with all the good stuff and 1080p recording

It wasn't that hard to understand.
The sensation got the newest camera app which provides much better quality and supports 1080p. And he wants to know why the 3vo didn't get it.
At least that is how I understood it.

It seems the 2 cameras used have a max resolution of recording at 720p.
The sensations 8mp itself is capable of 1080p
I still don't get my phone till tomorrow. Damn it.

My bad for the horrible grammar earlier... Was from drinking while typing lol,
But the sensation has the software to utilize the macro, hdr,burst,and night shots... Which is not present in our 3VO, which is my gripe

That's pretty cool, however shootme has had screencast for a while now and without the 30 second limit (free) I remember in my evo4g there were even modified version to raise the fps it recorded, thanks for sharing though.

Really I stop using shoot me for a while since the quality suck.at one point with the og EVO so I started using drocap2, I don't even know if the developer put it back up yet since he had some really offensive users, thanks for the info tho

Shootme can not compare to the quality of this app. Shootme is limited to 10FPS... Screencast does up to 30FPS
EDIT: version 0.8.1 does up to 20 FPS on Shootme
From what I understand, Shootme and PicMe are no longer available on the Market. The dev for that app also confirmed this on their Twitter page as well

LG announced their second 3D phone. I think it's pretty safe to say we will not see another 3D EVO. I would be happy just to get ICS and a fix for the camera lag and overexposed flash shots.

Has anyone noticed any improvement at all in the sense 3.6/ICS leaks? Or is it pretty much on par with thats existing in the ginergread roms out there?
It's quality is the same, the interface & options are different. You do get Macro & LowLight options to name a few.
Shutter speed is the same.

I would say this is better... No, "level" would be a fair way to say it, to the Amaze Camera port, given the new options actually work. No panoramic mode though.
It's improved in some aspects. Try it out.

It's not as good as the amaze mod we had on the older version, I got higher res 3d pics on the amaze cam.

I've been using the amaze cam for ages on leedroid. Now using ICS camera it looks pretty much the same but with a nicer interface!

it only buffers for me when i have it in HD but when i turn off HD it works perfectly fine. but everybody is having issues with youtube so when i want to watch a video i usually watch it on my computer.
Even on Wifi brotha, every 10 seconds I want to throw this phone through the wall when I see that stupid buffer circle show up.

You Sure Its Not The Phone? Because When I'm At Home, Sometimes When I Try To Watch A Video, The Buffering Is Terrible. But When I Bring Up The Very Same Video On My OG Evo, It Plays Flawlessly. But Yeah, I Almost Threw Mine Against The Wall
