I just got my phone yesterday and I've been looking for a hip case that fits the phone with a little bit of wiggle room. I came from using the Hero and I had a the leather HTC hip case and the phone fit perfectly while using a silicon case. The 3vo fits the HTC hip case but is a little tight, though the phone is naked. I purchased another silicon/rubber case that is similar to that of my her for the 3vo and was wondering if anybody has bought a hip case for theirs yet. Everything I've found so far has been a tight fit for the 3vo naked and would definitely not fit with a rubber case on it.
Side note: I'm not looking for a plastic case with a clip on it. I'm looking for a horizontal leather hip case for huge phones. Hopefully somebody has looked and possibly found one.

I was using the Seidio leather case from my 4G as the sides were stretchy and it fit. But now that I have a stuck pixel forums have scared me into the magnet conspiracy theory and it's now going commando. I just ordered an exact clip from Seidio, prob less bulky when wearing it anyway....

I have this case and I like it. The clip is nice and secure on your belt.
I bought the leather case for the Droid X at a Verizon store for $25. I used a case on both the EVO and the 3D. ""wiggle" room is provided
I'm looking for a vertical one with a swivel clip (similar to blackberry's). Saw a couple on ebay, but I'm not sure if the clip part is any good.

I just got my TPU cover in today and wanted to know if anybody had tried a hipcase w/ a tpu case on the phone as well. I looked at the HTC one but I'm thinking it might have been the wrong one or something, seemed to be extremely tight...i'm guessing it was the smaller of the two. anybody tried a TPU + hipcase and had a decent amount of success fit wise?

i was looking at this case on amazon and thought about ordering that one. i was wondering for those of you that already have it. does the phone fit really snug or is there room in there for phone/tpu case combo.

I have the HTC Messenger Case with the TPU case. I ordered it base on crucial929 saying its a tight fit in post #5. I think it's way too tight with the TPU case on. I couldn't even get the phone out the first time I slide the phone in. I've cut a piece of cardboard long enough to wrap around both ends of the phone w/TPU case and force it into the HTC case. Took awhile to force it in but after one night, the ends has stretch out enough for the phone to slide out. Planning to repeat the same process every night unit the phone can slide out without any force.
The quality of the case is excellent. The leather is soft and I'm surprised the stitching hasn't torn apart with me trying to stretch it out.

Snag a defender trident is also releasing a kraken and another case also no holster tho sucks but they made one for kraken for the EVO which may work for the 3d kraken case .
They are making a aegis case too mis spelt I think. Any ways due in August.

Cant wait to see a review on this. I had one for my EVO 4G and liked almost everything about it, but ended up returning it because the lip didnt come over far to protect the screen. Id like to be able to lay it face down, and not have to worry about the glass touch anything. Im hoping this one will allow that.

Thats not even a picture of the product on a real phone, could just be bad photoshop. Barely there sucks though since no lay on the table design. Whats the point? You drop it face down and your screwed.

Please do post pics and a quick little review once you receive it. I loved the fleaBay barely there case I kept on my Evo. I actually didn't even realize the "real" name of product as I stumbled onto the case on fleaBay and never needed another. I found the real product right before I sold my Evo right before I got my 3D.

ETA: I am currently using a TPU from TPU Cases and it is really nice. I'm just used to having some options and the thin snap on is one I really like having. The argyle TPU is a real crowd pleaser.

I bought this one and its just like the case-mate barely there case. It does have a lip that will protect the screen if you place it face down and its really slim. The cut-outs are all perfectly aligned. Its plastic with soft rubberized coat.

It's just like the best case I ever saw, my Wifes Nexus-S case by MyIncipio, thier ultra slim "Feather" model, but it covers the top of the screen ever so slightly, where as the case for the ogEVO stopped right before top of the screen, which was dumb.
The feel and grip of the case is spot on perfect. Not too slick, not too sticky, but just right.
I hate bulky cases with a passion, don't want my phone looking like a thick bar of soap. Plus I has an OtterBox case on ogEVO and phone still cracked screen from a small drop. So no case can 100% protect you.
I am very satisfied with my purchase here. To me the perfect case.

This case looks exactly like one I got off amazon for like 8 bucks. The one I got is kind of a frosted look. I love how minimal it is while still having I think the best design for the camera-when its a big opening its not well protected especially from fingerprints. I just wish I could get a holster for it. The other thing the cutouts for the cameras are perfect and I tried an otterbox and they didn't line up near as good.

Oh Silicone is awesome, it's softer squishier than TPU and also attracts all the lint in your pocket. /Sarcasm.

I have one like this, bought it at my local Radio Shack. The design on the one in the link is not offered at my local store in black, only grey, red, and purple. My black silicone has lines going from side to side instead of dots. I can post pics if any one wants. I like my design my better than the dots...
I was trying on the HTC silicone and the Otterbox Impact and I think that the HTC is built much better. The Otterbox Impact would slide off the bottom way too easy, love my Defender though...

I ordered the black one with the dots on it and received it this weekend. It is a very nice case. It is not very thick and provides a good feel and protection. Before I was using an otterbox impact which I like, but it was a little too thick. I did see the other one as metioned above at Radio Shack this weekend and those were also nice. Is anyone also using a hip case with theirs? I am not use to carrying phones in my pocket and would like to put this is a hip case.
Didnt find pictures of the ballistic sg case so i decided to take some and compare them to the other cases that i have. Hopefully this will help make your decision on a case

And i can not recommend a holster as i do not use one for this phone.
My red case also arrived yesterday. Here are my impressions:
1. The case looks nice. 2. The case is bulkier than I expected. 3. The case mutes the speaker phone slightly. The speaker is not covered, but a cut out around the speaker would have maximized the volume. 4. I'm confident in the protection the case provides, and I like the case's look. 5. A kickstand would have been nice. 6. The hand-feel is excellent. Whereas the caseless Evo 3d feels hard to grip to me, this case fits my hand well, especially because of the flared corners.
I'm happy with this case and its high level of protection, but I can't wait for someone to make a thin TPU case with thick rubber in the corners to absorb the shock in a drop.

Right now im using the Ballistic as an everyday case.
I used to use the Otterbox as the everyday case but it collected alot of dirt and lent on the silicone portion, the ballistic doesnt seem to do that at all.
With the TPU the case wont be as protected but i do like how it keeps the phones slim profile.

Good to hear about the lint on the ballistic. That was a concern if mine as well. One reason why I was leaning towards the TPU. Now I may get the ballistic.

I have the ballistic case too. ALthough, I do love it, i have gotten SOO many comments about how huge my phone is that it's starting to wear on me. I hate having to pull out the phone from it's case just to prove that hey it's actually pretty slick without the cover.
BUT then, it beats the purpose of having a sleek phone doesn't it? I think I'm going caseless. UNLESS, someone can recommend a thin silicone case that has the same feel as the inner layer of the ballistic case.
I almost considered just using the first layer of the Ballistic case by itself but it's a little lose without the red part clamping down everything. Any recommendations?

Just got mine for $14 shipped, although they shipped it to the wrong house yesterday. My neighbor brought it over today. Here are some pictures the case and the clip have kickstands, but the one one the case is nearly impossible to open with fingernails I had to use my pocket knife. They both allow you to set the phone on either side. To have the screen face out in the holster it has to be upside down, but it works. Pretty solid for the price.

I got one of those in the OP.
Can't say I love it, but for the price I'll keep it as a 'rugged' case. Probably won't use the holster except for possibly as screen cover if I put the phone in a backback. It doesn't look terribly well made.
I also got a Ventev TPU case. Really like it actually. It almost makes the phone look nekid but gives a bit of reassuring protection and makes the phone easier to hold.

That's a great price for a case and holster. I have a TPU now, and wanted a holster and case for when the situation merits it, but didn't want to drop $50 on an otter or seido. This is perfect.

I wouldn't , the holster doesn't hold the phone with the blue silicone case securely . It slides around in the holster.
The outer shell does fit over the gel case, but it doesn't sit flush and feels weird holding the phone to me.

Yep. I'll be using the Ventev as my everyday case with and without the holster (more protection) and my Diztronic TPU when I go out and keep my in my pocket for a sleeker sexy look. ;-)

Yes, but not bad...more protection w/o excess bulk of Otterbox. Tried both and definitely like this better.

Damn. It looked like a really nice case.... But I don't want to add more bulk..... I have a diztronic tpu case and was looking for a holster.
Just a heads up: While the phone with this case fits in the car dock if you just need it to hold your phone, it's slightly too big to sit properly in the Official Sprint/HTC Car Dock so the USB plug doesn't go in far enough to charge or activate car mode.
They do take their time shipping... LOL.

i don't know if anyone has mentioned this case before but i just picked one up since i saw it at my local bestbuy and i have to say, im loving this case. It looks good, doesn't rise above the screen very much at all. the smoke color kinda blends with the phone, there is a cutout for the kickstand and its easy to pop the stand out, all of the buttons are covered, and this thing fits TIGHT, it was pretty hard to get on but this thing is never gonna fall off and its good because unlike other cases, the part of the case on the sides of the screen don't flare out when your finger brushes them unlike a lot of other cases ive seen (not on this phone). one thing to mentions is that it does cover the camera button and from what i hear, other cases make it hard to use the 2 stages on the hardware button. this isn't that case with this case, i find it very easy to feel the camera buttons 2 stages so don't worry about that if you were concerned about it. overall 9 out of 10 for this case, only gripe being that it was kinda expensive for a tpu case.
will post pictures later once i get my old evo 4g back up an running after my sdcard transferring and whatnot i did yesterday since i just got this phone last night

I also picked up this case last week at Best Buy. I wasn't expecting to pick up a case, the cute BB girl showed me the case and put it on. I instantly fell in love... with the case. Sprint sent me the blue case protector. I liked the Sprint case, but it was too sticky. It was very difficult to get it in and out of my pocket, I also didn't like the color. I love this case because it's black, keeps the phone slim, and it is easy to get in and out of my pocket. I love it!

$3 is really good the $10 diztronic ones are pretty good too.
I have the Diztronic and the $10 i paid is the max I'd pay for a tpu

I concur. I too brought the Diztronic case and thats the most im willing to spend as well. I just dont see the point.... But hey to each his own lol.
I got one because it was the only other case best buy had other than the platinum case which I was returning bc it scratched paint off.
Shame bc I really liked the platinum case. This one is okay, fits better than any other tpu case I've had. The price is high though.
Thinking of taking this one back for a *gasp otterbox once best buy gets them back on stock...

Rocketfish TPU case FTW
I first bought the Platinum case at Best Buy and guess what the camera button does not work at all with the case on and furthermore the holster it comes with either turns the phone off or the volume all the way down depending on which way you put it in. I also put an Otterbox Defender case on my EVO 4g LTE in a Radioshack store and it is just to bulky. I bought the rocketfish and also thought it was pricy myself for what it was. However I really like it because it cover all of the buttons yet they all still work properly and the mics, kickstand, headphone jack and micro USB have openings that work well. The case looks awesome and does not.add to much thickness at all to the phone which leaves me with the only downfall of.the case it does not stick out far enough to keep the camera lense off a table. I may have to order a otterbox commuter after all but the rocketfish was really only supposed to be temporary anyway. I would recommend it though if youvcan rememberot not to lay it on the camera.

I just took a closer look and the glass for what is actually the lense cover and not the actual camera lense is actually recessed so if you lay the EVO on it's back it will only sit on the metal ring around the glass. I probably would not even do that much depending on what type of surface I am sitting it on. I read another guys review about three other you cases and he complained about the openings on two of them where as the rocketfish does not have these openings. It is a suprisingly good case. I usually do not buy Store brand items but I may actually use this thing for a while I think. I would go as far as saying there is probably not a better TPU case out right now for the Ltevo.
