Can anyone temme the procedure to install gmaps for cm7 ? i tried to install the gmaps.zip but after successfully installed , my phone turned to black screen no moto logo nothing !!!
steps i did ...
1. installed cm7_rc1.zip via bootloader and then reboot
2.installed sinit , then boot loader and installed gmaps.zip and did reboot
after that ma defy turnes to black screen i dont have android market in ma mobile and gmaps what to do .. can anyone help me to get the market back or can anyone provide me steps to install ??

first step you install cm7 from recovery, (before do a full wipe)then reboot.
2nd step enter again in recovery and flash gapps then reboot again
then enter in market and download maps and street!
well i did exactly the same which you mentioned above but all i got is black screen very strange for me !!! (after reboot ->motologo->went to bootlogo option ->i did boot->normal ====> black screen after reboot )
I thought you need to set to 2init to boot the CM7? Don't think should use normal boot
re-install from rsdlite nordic deblur sbf >>> root >>> install recovery 2.5.1.8 >>> enter in cwm and do a wipe/data >>> install zip from sdcard(cm7 rc1) >>> reboot>>> enter in recovery (bootmenu) install gapps, reboot, enjoy!
in android boot menu which boot option i suppose to use ? normal , 2init , 2nd boot which one i suppose to use it to install the gapps.zip ???
edit : android market is available only in widget and not in the menu icon and i dont see any of the gmap application in the home menu icons

I've tried everything i know
and I've searched hours for answers.
it goes like this:
im unlocked , and rooted
then i tried to flash to CM9 via CWM , it said success in the end , but when rebooted it showed 2.3.4. the problem is that when i tried to enter recovery mode again it showed me triangle and an exclamation mark, and when i tried to access web browser i couldn't , when i tried to enter google play , couldn't
when i tried to adb push recovery to the sd card (because the recovery got deleted) , it gave me "adb push permission denied".
then i tried to fastboot flash recovery , it gave me success .
now when i start it up , it gives me this loop: the application launcher (proccess com.koushikdutta.launcher2) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again.
what can i do?

If you're coming from Gingerbread, you need to wipe data (factory reset), system and cache partitions.
well since i said i cant actually open the device , it just reboots and when i slide to open it shows error loop , i tried to wipe via fastboot , and i wiped cache and bootloader.
then i tried to flash the sbf via rsd lite - IHOP -
showed here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1136261
now , when i try to power on the device , it's just stuck in the first screen , showing unlock , and doesn't start loading anything.
what did i do wrong? how do i fix this?

i've managed to install cm7
now i don't have google play store , and when i try to install it via .apk it works , but when i launch the application , it tells me to add acount , and when i press ok , it just shuts down.
any reason?

The procedures mentioned to root or install CWM Recovery in Huawei x3 U8510 requires you to go to USB Debugging mode in Settings but my device does not have a working Stock ROM.
I am able to boot into the Stock Recovery mode (Volume + and power button) but unable to install CWM(tried several versions for U8510), SU, Custom ROM etc cuz it says signature verification failed even though I tried cmw zip files which were signed.
I tried going into download mode by pressing Volume - and power button that didn't work too. Even though the Huawei symbol came up I couldn't root the device using
Please Help!!!
P.S: I couldn't find any of the latest ROMs for this device too!

hi mate dont know if you managed it yet but if you search google with the term u8510 root , its about the forth link down on the first page with the title "How to Root and Install ClockworkMod Recovery on the Huawei ..." (would post the link but wont let me as i aint been a member long enough) on that page scroll down and download the drivers, install with phone unpluged from computer, then plug phone in and it will install the drivers. then download the automatic root enabler and with the phone switched on as normal and plugged in the pc click the exe file and it will automatically shut down the phone and put it into fastboot mode, root it, install clockworkmod recovery and super user..... when the grey box with the text says finnish the phone will restart but is still in boot loader mode so make sure it says done at the bottom of the box unplug phone from pc, remove battery and put it back in to exit bootloader mode and switch on.
there you go its rooted and super user installed..... plus has clockwork mod recovery to install any custom rom you wish

This method makes my phone freeze at the bootup stage, the Huawei logo stays on the screen, while on the PC it says its <waiting for device> after trying to install clockworkmod recovery. Any ideas?
A friend of me tryed to play with his I9300, now he got a I9300 that only boots in the "Android system recovery 3e", he know i got a i9000 and ask me to fix it
If i ask what he has done, he simply doenst know ( yea i know , compleet re****) (no backup made)

symptom and what i tryed
- It does only boot in "Android system recovery 3e", I dont get in the "Download mode", volume down+home+on doesnt work, it just boots in "Android system recovery 3e"
- I tryed using ADB tools to boot it to "download mode" (from the "Android system recovery 3e") But it only reboots in "Android system recovery 3e" again.
- I tryed NVflash, but this doesnt recognize the phone when its in "Android system recovery 3e"
(if i only get it in "download mode"it was easy, but i cant )

- i placed a costum mode rom(WanamLite V5.9) (*.zip) on the mirco SD-card and tryed to use the "apply update from external storage"...
Get message:
---Intall /sdcard....... (this takes 3 min)
Then i am back in the "Android system recovery 3e" menu , i pick "reboot system now" and it reboots in "Android system recovery 3e"
It seem to me that the bootloader isnt there any more (only 3e recovery)
How can i get the phone to work from the 3e recovery menu?
I am stuck

Cant get in "download mode" to use odin to flash CloclworkMod
Cant install TWRP 2.4.3.0 because i cant isnt apk's because cant start Android
@ "Android system recovery 3e" Apply update from external storage, I tryed to install custom recovery that comes with ADB tool kit, but the "Android system recovery 3e" doesnt except tar files, i renamed them to md5 or zip, but i get a verification error.
I also tryed to use
ADB sideload <filename stock rom>
But here i get a verification error es well

3e would require a update zip from memory .
If you boot to recovery it will say update from xxx
I don't actually know what the update consists of on SGS3 tar zip or what format .

- Left side of the picture is the verfication fail, when i try to aply a recovery,img,update,zip or img (or what ever i try)

try pulling the battery out then put it back in. push both volume keys at the same time and plug in the usb cable. it took me a couple of attempts but it worked. if u still cant connect with odin, then just push both volume keys and press the power button. at the next screen push up volume then connect to usb. have odin already open and ready to start. if u need the stock firmware then follow this youtube video @

But you will have to download the firmware from sammobile site itself rather than using check fus downloader as it doesnt work.

So what was the fix for this as i have the same issue and im stuck - there must be a .ZIP file that the standard recovery mode will see and install without the failed because of the signture problem......someone please help!!!!!!!!

i rooted gts 5830i and i installed custom rom mnd 2.4 sgs3.... but after intalling rom my boot logo is freeze. i put out battery and reinstall and on but same is.... so i m want to flash custom rom but my mobile not going to recovery mode ... only show freeze logo samsung gts 5830i......... what happend to it ... i m trouble,,,, please help...

Hi Guys,
My friend owns a Acer Liquid E310 phone running android 2.3.5.
The problem is when u turn on the phone it directly goes into the Setting>Manage apps tab. the launcher doesnt work nor does the home key or anything else... totally confused about what to do
I think i will have to repartition the drive but how do i do it while the phone is in this state???

i have tested following custom rom in my acer liquid mini e310 working well
i would give you link but im not able to post the link of you tube video , my posts are below 10 ... so sory
but you can search following .acer liquid mini ace rom copy and paste this in google search
and you wiill see the result with blue screen laptop with acer logo... and see tut and links in show more section
in order to use it you need to root . install busybox . superuser .and cwm for installing custom rom..
its exe wich finds port it self.. make sure you have all the drivers and no other process using your mobile port

Apricate your effort, but this isnt working either... the phone is stuck in the settings tab only. it wont go to home screen or any other screen... so there is no chance of installing anything, i tried flashing the official stock rom update aswel but it shows an error msg stating that the memory is insufficient...!

it might hv hardware issue .
chek out for it
disassamble it and look for damage ..

Touch is working fine..... it gets directly into the settings tab after booting up.... even if i press the home key it doesnt open the laucher....
Seeing that you cant boot your phone normally, what happens if you try to boot into recovery ?

try it and then just return to factory settings
if the phone will let you do it

The phone isint rooted n nor does it have any recovery image in it....
Odin for Acer?
isint there any software like odin for acer using which i cud flash a official stock rom back on the device?

This is not for stock. Its even better!
Try this:
- Enter ClockWorkMod Recovery
(or flash a version for your device if you dont have it)
- Download Sherpya Rom and copy the *.zip file to your SDCard.
- Reboot your device under CWM
- Select:
- Advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Erase Cache (on the 1st menu)
- Advanced > Mounts and Storage > Format "Boot"; "Cache" and "System".
- Go back to the 1st Menu
- Install *.zip from SDCard
- Select the Sherpya Rom zip file.
- Let it complete.
- Done.
Now you have the best rom ever for that device.
With:
- Custom kernel (ext4 supported)
- Everything Working.
- Already Rooted

Hi my friends... i am new here and i have a problem with my nexus 9 wifi with 5.0.1 firm.
i ad try to root my device and he works nice ... but later tried install the kali nethunder 2.0 on my nexus 9.
i downloaded the image of kali , i downloaded also the TWRP Manager from google play and then installing the TWRP correctly.
so far so good ..at the momment!
Then... entered to the recovery mode i put the install button , I searched for the kali nethunder image and then execute it correctly!
He made some time to install it , when it finished the installation , rebooting and stuck there!
i turn off and rebooting again to the bootloader menu , i make the factory reset but after the reboot , it show me the adroind error icon witha red triangle...
I Dont now what to do now, my pc is not recognizes my nexus . the only screen i have is the scrren with the recovery, factory reset,sim lock, image crc ,show barcode and ram test !
but the recovery and the factory reset is not working... if i put those two it show me again the ...

You have me suggest some solution ??? help me please ...

Can you get into fastboot mode (Power + Vol down, when device is turned off).
If so try manually flashing stock factory image.
