Is it possible to have 3g on the foliomod 1.4 with a usb device for 3g?
No, 3G only works on Foliomod v1.3
CIFS doesnt work if u read the 1.4 post.
But u can use it with few changes and some files. if u explore forum.
Surely 3g can be used to but some 1 has to add some light
As I understand, the Foliomod v1.4 uses de newest Toshiba kernel, and his source is not published yet. Without the kernel's source it's quite impossible to activate the 3G drivers =(
The new Toshiba Kernel is yet public.
Dexter work in ther developer but now dOnt work
great
thx for the info

Do you know where can i unload it? Or what is the name of?
Do you understand what I want to ask you?
Hello, excuse my english.
I have a tablet (Titan 7005A) with RK2918. The original ROM for this device works well but It cannot be routed (S-ON problem). I have another ROM but it's for a newer version of this Tablet that can be routed.
The problem is that with this ROM WIFI and CAM doesn´t work. So, the big question is: can I install/copy WIFI and CAM drivers on this new ROM taking it from my original ROM?. There are a guide to do something like this?.
The WIFI, when I try to turn it on, i get error. Same whit CAM.
Thanks in advance.
I'm having problems in trying to do WiFi tether in my Xperia S. When i try to connect any device at my portable hotspot (at least i've tried with a Galaxy S3, Optimus 3D, Linux Notebook and Windows 7 Notebook), the device just cannot lock the IP address. It stays a bit in "Obtaining Ip Address", disconnects, tries to connect again, "Obtaining Ip Address", disconnect. Are any of you having issues like this?
Could we try to pinpoint the problem? It would be a custom kernel problem or a custom rom problem, a combination of custom kernel/stock rom problem and others? Maybe someone know somenthing that i dont, and it would be nice to have it documented here, so i created this topic to ask for your help in this issues! How can I solve it? Better, how can we solve it?
So above is the list of kernels and roms that i have tried and failed miserably in make my tether work:
Stock Rom Generic UK 6.1.A.0.453 with:
XSX Kernel 3.1
Advanced Stock ICS Kernel 11
The only mod i have at the phone is QuickPanel
i've been trying, using my self compiled kernel and stock ICS rom, nothing wrong with tethering, it just working fine...
Thanks for the test fajarep!
Here i got nothing!
Failed trying now:
- Flash LT26_6.1.A.0.452_Generic_CH_1257-3740_.ftf (read somewhere that generic/international firmwares have no restriction in tethering)
- Many tethering apps, rooted and non-rooted ones (max i got is a message of failure in setting ad-hoc)
-Adding a ",dun" at the end of my "APN Type" in Data-Management-mimimi-i-dont-remember-put-the-name-here-later-menu

hmmm.., I don't use Generic version, only using our SEA ICS version, it maybe doesn't have any problem with tethering stuff. So, I can't help anymore..
No problem with wifi tethering on stock ics and also on miui (both 2.7.20 and 2.7.27 with advanced stock kernel build 11). During the last two weeks I used it every day without any issues.

Battery life is absolutely great in standby and just as the stock with the screen on. I have no complaints regarding the battery with miui.
In a quick test it seems that with MIUI i can tether. I will do further tests and report here
Glad to read that and to be somehow helpful!
Hello all,
My friend has a sony xperia ray.
When he's trying to turn on the wifi, it says "connecting" and after a while it disconnect automatically.
The same thing is happening with the bluetooth.
Does anyone else have this problem?
At the time, he was running gingerbread 2.3.4. He updated to ICS 4.0.4 but the problem still exists.
He told me that he dropped his phone and that problems began after that.
If that's the case, does anyone have a disassembly tutorial which shows where the wifi and bluetooth modules are in the phone? I searched on youtube, but it didnt say where the modules where.
Thanks in advance..

1. which kernel u use? stock(installed by sonys pc updater ) or custom (have to be downloaded and flashed)
2. how he updated the rom?? orginal with a sony program or u use cm9/custom ROM???
if u on stock(from sony) 4.x.x ROM AND kernel, u can flash stock_ics_wifi_modules (search on forum; b'cuz i'm unable to share links at now:silly
then wipe dalvikcache/cache THEN wifi must work!!!, otherwise its a hardware or very, very strange problem...
----> hope it helps.
Hello, I have a problem with the wifi ap in all roms / kernels I've tried based on ICS & JB, I can not get internet connection for any device. I tried several kernels and roms and tried to connect different laptops, pc computers, etc ...
I have no problem with kernels and roms based on GB, so I guess it's no problem of mobile.
I currently use the lupus v7 kernel and the Hepta Erro 4.2.2 rom, all is working perfect except this.
If anyone has the same problem and was able to fix it, would be greatly appreciated to help me.
Greetings.

Thanks Alex, but it is not the same problem. My wifi works well, what does not work is the wifi hotspot or wifi ap.
I had the same problem as you say, and I solved it by installing the kernel v7 lupus. Then from the terminal I used some commands to restart the wifi, it was easy. Think i remember they were these:
/su
/lupus
After I chose the option "5 / Clean & resolve tweaks", then restart
Hope it helps!
