I use the interweb on my phone a lot, and am sick of Edge, and I know i have 3G coverage where I am sitting.. Someone help pretty please? Thank you^^
does it have to do with a GPRS setting? i can't find them anywhere on my phone... i am running CM6.1 now also
As you can see, I can never receive an MMS from anybody on a Froyo ROM. I don't remember if this problem occured on the official HTC based ROMs, but all I know for certain is that it hasn't worked with any Froyo based ROM I've used. I've tried changing around MMS settings, but it hasn't worked. The funny thing is that I can still send out. If it makes any difference, I'm on Web2Go.

What apn settings are you using? I have AT&T too and the call quality is good. Here is my apn setup:

I cant see any reason why apn settings would effect voice calls as these just setup your data connection and mms.
You are using 2? Or ou just have those setup so they automatically jump between the 2?
Two of them. One is for normal data usage and the other for when you send a mms message. Those are what AT&T provides for my Xperia Play when you set it up as new with a slight change.

Did you hit the menu button then go to new?

whoops, I did not notice that button there, this is my first android device, I came from an Apple Iphone 4, also AT&T switched me off the iphone 4 plan to a regular smart phone plan, will the medianet plan be slower then 3G?

I entered the info and hit save, but then what do I do after? I hit the home button and then went back into APN and its blank. I have it set to GSM only.

Try it again. I think when it doesn't save it you input something wrong. Why GSM only? I left mine as wcdma/gsm

If you still can't get it let me know and I will upload an apn backup from apn back & restore app.

Thanks thatll be helpful if you could, I hit the back button and it does nothing, so I have to hit home, but when i go back in its blank. my email is [email protected]

sscratch that, I got it to save and now it appears in the APN profile, it didnt work because I had it on GSM only
3G still not showing up however,
Here you go. Download this and extract it. Get apn backup & restore from Google Play then restore the extracted file.

the app does not let me restore because i have 4.0+ after you inputted the APN and saved it, what is the next step to get 3G to work?
You mean you flashed ICS?
Once I created the APNs the phone apn was selected then I just backed out of the settings screen and it connected to AT&T and I was off and running. Did you create both those APNs I listed?
yea i created both of it. that app you told me to download gave me an error message when i tried to hit the restore APN button.
After hit save. Reboot the phone and it will be there
woo hoo finally got it to work!

No it's not the LTE apn. That is the regular HSPA+ apn that I have been using on my Xperia S for several months.

When you use HSPA+ on Xperia S, do you use $15 unlimited data for non-smartphones or $20 300MB/$30 3GB data for smartphones?
I have Xperia ray and I'm using $15 unlimited data for non-smartphones since it's not an AT&T phone so AT&T didn't find out.
Thanks
Hey Guys,
I just rooted my HTC One yesterday and everything is working great except one thing, I can't get MMS to work no matter what I do. I've tried the following APN settings, and I can't get it to work for the life of me.
Name: ATT Phone
APN: phone
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Auth: none
APN type: default,admin,fota,mms,supl,hipri
APN: pta
Proxy: <none set>
Port: <none set>
Username: <not set>
Password: <not set>
Server: <not set>
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: <not set>
APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri
Any ideas? I don't have much installed in terms of root apps. I got a new kernel and greenify. That's really it though. Any help would be beyond appreciated!
Thanks!
