I want to re-activate my Optimus V with Cyanogen already on it. Can this be done, or do I need to return to stock then re-root/ROM?

You could return to stock or you could flash BumbleBee Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1053842 (ive heard that it has the activate app included.) Its also quite a good stable OS.

Has anyone tried the ROM Manager from the android market on G3? What does this do? I want to install a custom ROM on my G3 upgraded to 2.2 last week. Can somebody help me with detailed instructions and the best custom ROM to use.
ROM manager installs clockworkmod recovery, and the g3 doesn't have clockworkmod till now. So, no, you can't use it

Thanks, wanted to check if I can just root my G3 and continue using it as it is without installing a custom ROM. If yes, can I root using the z4root app. I have read about it but dont know if this will have any adverse impact on the phone. What will be the advantages of performing the root? Is there a better way to root my phone and will this improve the battery life? After upgrading to Froyo a week back, my battery life has dropped significantly. Have ATK installed and all the other functions are disabled but still not help
flash a custom rom^^ maybe this helps^^ they are prerooted.

Hi there. I have a LG Optimus One, with LOL 1.2.
I want to use the latest cyanogenmod but dont know how to do it, so whats the easyiest way to change the rom?
Thanks a lot.
Make a NAND Backup and perform all your wipes like when you flashed your first ROM. Flash ROM and Gapps afterward. Everything is the same like how you flashed your first rom, nothing is different.
The thing is i forgot those steps
Install cyanogenmod Gingerbread 2.3 Unofficial

Follow ziaasp's link. A fine tutorial.

Farmware/rom whatever you want to call it. I have it but well a backup its missing some of the original Apps that came with it. And plus I don't have room at the moment to back up my current rom to go back to it
LG O1 Running Cm7 Mik_OS 2.35
Look through the general section, there's a post on original LG roms but why do you want to go back ? I'm using Andy's 2.3.4 Phoenix rom, with Franco's GB kernel. I have "incredible " battery life

Hi, I have LG P500 Optimus one. I recently have rooted this phones and installedClocworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0. The thing is, then i install custom rom there is no service on my phone. When I restore origina one everything is good. So what's wrong? I install roms as written ( I try to choose those, which are simple to install) and "No Service".
Post this on optimus one thread

It could be possible that the ROM also includes a radio that is not compatible with your service provider. Although mosts ROM's do not include a radio, there are some that do.
Or you could require a specific radio for the rom to work. Read further into the thread for whatever rom you're trying to flash.

I am totally new in this business so how to tell if my phone support old baseband or new baseband? Then I bought it it was froyo 2.2.2 i dont remember the software version now, and į upgrade it to gingerbread? Can an update cause my this problem?
Probably need to find a rom that is made for gingerbread. Depends on device how many you will find. You find what radio your using in settings/about phone. Also they have reverts for some phones to get back older radios, opening up more rom possibilities. Hope that's helpful.-B-rye

I accidently formatted my MicroSD card and I lost nand Backup of my original rom. Now I can't use my phone and in settings present rom says: Baseband Unknown
Thanks for support and help. I installed ROM openOptimus as I recall, and it vased on 2.3.3 and and now i got signal!
