[Q] Root for 2.3.3 4.0.A.335

Hi guys,
i've bought the SK17i in Italy and this have the firmware 4.0.A.335 I need a lot root it and a easy tutorial for that (better if is videotutorial) I wait ur answer thanks a lot Tyrigi.
Same here.
there is only one way to root your mini at the moment.
its really complicated and there are no videos about it.
so i guess you should probably wait until there is a easier root solution
you can easily unlock the bootloader for getting rooted. it's not as difficult as you think.

I found a 2nd solution on this board again but i don't understand if finally a branded sk17i bootloader can be unlocked or not. Some people say yes, and others no. I want to post a message but it 's in development area so i have to wait 10 messages.....and tis is my first one

Hy!
I have a same problem... I tried a lot of thing, but... If in your Service Menu it say "Bootloader unlock allowed: No", you can't do anything.
Every method need to boot Fastboot mode. If your phone is branded, and not allowed to unlock bootloader, you cannot start the Fastboot mode... Now.
The Branded SK17i Team waiting for the solution
pls try the s1 tool method. it's a little complicated. but you can do it. and the you will not lose your DRM.
I tried it... I can't enter Fastboot mode.
I think s1tool TP method is only work if your Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes...
tell me exactly what you did to enter into the fastboot mode?
@irumbustalin, do you mean s1tool can unlock branded sk17i?
If not, as soon as Orange unsimlock my phone, will i be able to root it after?
Thanks a lot,
Sorry but UP UP!

[Q] Can't sim unlock my phone (is legal in my country)

Hi everyone,
I have a X10a BL unlocked right now using MIUI Oddie v10 default kernel (FXP).
And about 4 day ago in my country every company is offering free sim unlock for all cell-phone. (we got a new law ).
We can achieve the sim unlocking introducing the IMEI of our cellphone and our cell-number in the carrier web page, but the PIN they send me is not working only in this phone.
Do i need to downgrade my firmware bts?
Thank you.

You could try the Flash tool given to us by Bin4ry and flash generic then follow the standard rom guide, thats how i did mine unlocked from Vodafone to originally get 2.3 standard, but lead to more xD
Xperia X10i
DonutHD 2.3.4
SE Kernel
Relock ur bootloader then try pal. If it works, don't unlock again (unless u used s1tool u may lose radio).
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Do you need it sim unlocked even lol
See here tho if ya like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.ph

No, it does not mean you can use any sim card.
my phone is network unlock, i cant upgrade my firmware via seus or se pc companion. but you can use flashtool to flash roms
thanks you both, after searching ive finally gathered it has to be sim unlocked by
factory, network provider.
using sites like http://simlock.com/ and da vinci team does this affect the bootloader unlock? i.e. flashing different kernals? im sure i read in the bootloader post that using 3rd party unlock your bootloader is locked again?
so for instance if i sim unlock from the sites mentioned, is my boot loader relocked or will i have to unlock it again after sim unlock?
at the moment my x10i is network locked to orange but 2.3.3 root/unlocked bootloader via flashtool.
I went whit cellunlocker.net
the best, used it on 3 phone.
takes about an hour to receive a code
and it do NOT interfere whit unlocking the boot loader
free unlock code from [email protected]
I called att today and to my suprise they gave me free unlock code for my sony x10 I bought it from a buddy of mine that got two phones lasy year and didnt pay the first bill
ps: can i simunlock with this code on my bootloader unlock phone

Has anyone flashed a 802S0 (softbank) to a S0V40(au) safely?

I have the Japanese sim unlocked xperia 1 802SO. I am seeing that the other Japanese model S0V40 recently got upgraded to android 11 and Softbank doesn't appear to have any plan to follow. Can I safely flash over to the latest firmware from my Softbank( Japanese phone provider) to au (another Japanese phone provider) without loosing any drm or functionality? Has anyone tried this?
I used to own an xperia z5 premium and learned the hard way that unlocking the boot loader without backing up the drm keys causes the phone to get nerfed and severely impacts camera quality and functionality when I flashed to lineage os. Since this is official software, can I flash over without unlocking my bootloader and can I keep the drm keys?
Appreciate any advice or responses. Thanks in advance.

Au is a CDMA network. While SoftBank is GSM. Does that still matter anymore? Xperiacheck isn't showing the update despite it being released 3 days ago. Anyone have a link for it?
It might be possible to flash it but leave out the network stuff and and just flash the desired update portions with xperiaflash
55.2.C.0.330 is the version number I'm looking for
