Hi guys My question is Are we able to port Motoblur to our xperia? I mean I saw a Sense rom available to our X10 on theunlockr's website ... Is it possible for a Motoblur Port?
I guess theoretically anything is possible software-wise, but Motoblur requires registration at Motorola. I don't think it's just an issue of porting Motoblur app to work.
I have a Motorola Backflip with a custom ROM running and I won't miss Motoblur at all, but then this is just my opinion.....

Hello all,
I have been a member here for a while and i have tried out a few custom rom's on my desire hd, my question is....
I have an android tablet that is Gingerbread, has anyone developed an installable verion of the sense ui? i know its not to everyone's liking but it works well for how i use my phone with work etc
I have done a search and i didnt find much other than launcher pro look a likes etc and as my tablet is the same 800 x 480 resolution i wondered if it was possible?
Any help would be appreciated, or just tell me to bugger off lol!
Thanks in advance
(p.s i cannot root the device as skygo will not work on it)
As sense is built into so many parts of android (including some parts which are completely replaced by sense) i dont think this is possible. Its definately impossible without root.
Your best bet is finding a launcher you like and then finding apps to do the things you like sense doing. (e.g. syncmypix can sync facebook pics with contacts like sense does)
Hope that helps!
I was wondering if it is possible to have the original phone and contacts apps of Android ICS for the new STOCK Sony Rom
I saw other developers port many other apps like calender and conversations but is it possible with the people app?
Hello all,
I have been an android user for over two years but never delved into rooting/installing custom roms. The main advantage of rooting seems to be the ability to remove bloatware and to have some customized look. Is there any other advantage (performance?) to it? Cynogenmod seems to be a very popular ROM among all. What can Cynogenmod (or any other roms) do that some advanced launchers (NOVA, AWD etc) cannot?
Also, is there any webpage or post that explains all these terms (rooting/custom kernals/flashing etc.,) for a dummy like me?
Thanks.
Cyanogenmod is based on stock pure android and not sense like what comes on the phone. It reaches far beyond what a launcher can do. It's a complete OS replacement. Beyond that it is very easy to get the answers you seek from either here or Google

I have an HTC one currently running the android revolution hd rom with sense 5. I've recently thought about trying out the google edition rom. However, I am just wondering is there any possibility of getting the HTC media link hd to work with the google edition rom because i use the media link hd quite often. Do I need to install a custom kernel or something? Or is there absolutely no way for this to work. I really want to try stock android but I don't want to sacrifice not being able to use the media link. Is there anyway to do this?
I want to know this too. My assumption is that there is no way. It seems to be the answer to any question like this.. Ie HTC Gallery etc. I am/was in the same exact boat and I thought what the hell I'll give stock a try. It's all I ever ran on my S3 . I love it. I forgot how much I liked CM10. Now I'm really torn, don't know if I cam go back to Sense to get the gallery and media link back. Hopefully someone figures it out. They ported the camera successfully.
