Hello I know that when I started this phone (evo 3d) up that there would be some Google Android Market Gmail syncing of previously installed apps/etc. from my older heroc as well as some settings and such possibly. Now that isn't my issue ..my issue is where did these .apks go to on my phone i.e. can find to uninstall but where are they ( no they aren't in Download folder thru App drawer)

Hi there
I am on Android since about 2 months, using a HTC Desire S. As I am allergic with Sense, I direclty installed a custom rom, from wich I deleted useless applications to me.
This is when I figured out that deleting Gmail will prevent the calendar to work ("You have no calendars").
So I got connected to my Gmail account from the web (created especially to access the android market), and I noted that my calendar were syncronized, and worst, that all my contacts from the phone were there too.
I am not quite parano, but I'd like to know if there is a way to keep the calendar and contacts only on the phone.
Autosync is disabled on my phone, but it had probably been enabled on the early days, so would disabling the auo sync prevent FOREVER my calendar and contacts to be uploaded to gmail, and manly, is it possible to use the calendar without installing the gmail apk ?
Thank you
Can't tell you about what the sync is doing, because I honestly do not care, so I haven't looked into it, BUT what I can tell you is that the calendar works beautifully eventhough I don't have GMail installed.
Thanks for your information
Well then...
I found somethin' about these apks :
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk
GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk
But I did not delete them, I can find them on my /system/app/ folder, when I tried to install them it asked me if want to replace it, I said Yes but then I have the report with the green check (as a good thing happened), but next to it it's writtent "Application not installed"...
Well it did nothing I think but this doesn't seem to be my issue, as they are already there.
OK,
What I had to do, is simply go in the "account & sync settings" menu, click on my gmail account (synced off) and then launch a calendar sync...
So this is a force go, if you want to use calendar, you need to sync it at least once.
Quite fair but could be better, even Bada needs a Samsung account to use the store since Bada 2.0...

I have two google accounts (lets call them A and B), and both are set up with the device under Accounts/Sync. Recently, though, the notification that the Android Market has updates available has been showing up twice in the notification bar: once for each google account. I used to find it odd that account B was the one that used to show up for the Market, rather than A, if that has anything to do with it. I did try downgrading the Market by uninstalling updates and letting it re-update on its own, but that didn't change anything. In fact, my having done that before might be the reason why this is happening now.
Any help or ideas? Thanks.
My buddy has this same problems with his SEVEN Gmail accounts . I will be following this thread and post if I find an answer.
Hi. I've Just installed a fresh CM9 and synced the phone to my google account. Once it synced it started downloading apps I had previously downloaded which are listed in my Google play account (including a lot of crappy apps listed that I previously messed around with). Is it possible to remove apps from my Google play account? Because I don't want certain apps automatically installed. Cant find an option on the Google play site...
Maybe you can rewrite your post, cause I have no idea what you want.
You installed CM9 and all your apps etc. are gone? And you are missing the market app?
For now I don't think there is any way of doing this.
Looky here...
yeah i was talking gibberish, updated now

hello,
i have a epic 4g rooted, stock rom, seems that when i go to the market, it does not show the apps that i have installed and/or the ones that i purchased. additionally, if i were to delete one of these missing apps, they still dont show up in the market/google play. I have attempted to use various market enablers, but this has not solved my issue. on another note, and perhaps related, when i use titanium backup only one app shows setcpu, while previously it was working.
a lending hand would greatly be appreciated.
eric
Make sure you are syncing and signing in with your gmail account that you purchased the apps on. Do you have more than one gmail account?
I have installed the new Play Store 3.9.1.6 over the current Play Store and it works perfectly. I love that I can now delete all those tried but deleted apps from the All Apps List in the market.
Also the new Gmail 4.2 works. You have to be rooted and uninstall your current Gmail app, then reboot, then install the new Gmail 4.2, then reboot again. I used Titanium to uninstall the old Gmail app.
I think I have attached the files.

Thanks for the files. But after installing the gmail app, my Gmail widget is on constant sync, so it keeps loading again and again, wasting my data.. any suggestions...
My widget is not doing that. Might try clearing data and any cache then reboot again.
