Was the EVO 3D supposed to have YouTube 3D on it? If it was, then i don't have it, and if it wasen't, then how do i get it?

The EVO 3D has the 3D Youtube app. It doesn't look any different until you find a 3D movie. Enter it and search for yt3d. The movie trailers are my favorite (some of the videos that are on the yt3d search were made for crosseyed 3D... feels like hammers are hitting your brain when you try to focus on them).
You can watch 3D videos in the Youtube app that comes on the phone. Videos that are in 3D will have a little 3D icon on the right side of the screen. Just search "3D" and a bunch will come up.

What does youtube 3D do that that the youtube we have doesn't. It plays 3D videos just fine. Panoramic camera would Be AWESOME!!!

2.1.7 is the YouTube that came on the 3D. The latest one in the marketplace is 2.1.6. I don't know what that's about but I can find the 3D vids with no problem with the little icon to the right of the vid

I know this is probably a dumb question, but I downloaded a 3D version of Avatar that was formatted for the 3VO and when I play it on the phone its split screen. How can I fix this?

Lots of 3D movies. 3dsbs.com
If you add 3D to the file name it will automatically enable the 3D option saving you two clicks each time you open it.

Didn't work for me. I've added 3D to the front of the title and also to the end of the title and it still come up with split screens. These are movies that I've converted with Handbrake so I don't know if that have something to do with it.
3D movies that are tagged with the video/mp4-3d mime type open up directly in 3D mode. The ones that are converted with Handbrake are just tagged as video/mp4. Having this knowledge, does anyone know how to tag them as video/mp4-3d?

We didn't stop looking, we found it. sbs is the magic phrase to search for on the site of your choosing. That will bring up all of the side by side content on that site, porn included.

the movie that you have is top/bottom 3d and not side by side 3d.
Anyone figure out how to add the 3d tag to videos. its pretty annoying when i convert my movies for my phone and cant have it automatically switch on the 3d screen

Most videos work on youtube using 3d some do not, you just have to see which ones do, by the way keep your toggle switch on 3d and look through the youtube app on your phone there should be a 3d logo near it. showing if the video is 3d or not, but the one i posted should work a 100%.

Try restarting your phone and use WiFi or 4g when you're watching the video. This used to happen to me too.

i watched this one but the one i posted goes to the extreme with 3d and its not widescreen like that one is its full screen.
That was insane. That one got saved to SD. Nice know mp4 format plays 3d.

Not much if any 3d for me. Sure its high quality view but tilting device shows its pactically non existant. Seems better then nothing. I think its just how the screen gets that shiny highlights and the the original quality. Not 3d though.

Really then why does the screen look so weird when you switch off the video while it's playing. It's definitely 3D.

that one is 3d except doesn't look that crazy the effects are barley noticeable, the only part i like is when snow is getting shot at the camera other than that it looks like a normal 3d video.
Best thing to do is download tubemate and download them straight to your phone and watch. And show them off later to friends and family.

You can watch his video full screen and 720p with the jetVD app (just hit the fullscreen button next to the timeline thingy). You can also download the movie for later uses when your alone haha . I use jetVD because the youtube app doesn't let me watch music videos.

I got the 3d for a over a few weeks now and when I got it the 3d movie and youtube were both working now it only seems like the pics or the 3d videos I have taken with the phone work, seem a topic like this in the past but i can't find it, does anyone know how to fix it?

That only affects picture and video capture. Open the movie, tap the screen to bring up the controls, hit the "3D" button. It'll say "2D" though if you're already in 2D mode, which I suspect you are.

Hi everyone,
I am trying to watch the 3D pics and movies recorded on my evo3d on my PS3.
Now i can see the regular pictures fine but when i try to watch the movie recorded on my Evo 3d in 3D format, it shows 2 frames running side by side. My TV and PS3 both play 3D blurays fine.
Does this mean i can ONLY watch the pics and videos in 3D on my Evo and not on anything else? No 3d compatible tv's or ps3?? That would be disappointing.
Hope someone can help.

I think the tv and ps3 use a different type of 3d... The phone uses sbs.. the only way I think u can share that with the tv is to use hdmi to mirror the evo 3d...

don't know if this has been posted yet but just an FYI, did you know that you can upload your 3D videos to Youtube in 3D!!!!!! When you upload them just put "yt3d" without the quotes, in the tag field. Then it will play in the Youtube 3D player, which also gives the option to view in 2D and different versions of 3D including using red/cyan glasses or even cross eyes. Also other EVO 3D users can view your videos from their phone in 3D automatically!!! Here is one that I did:

If you view that from your EVO 3D it will automatically play in 3D. And just another FYI, if you download the app Tubemate, and do a search for "yt3d" you can find all kinds of 3D videos even 3D movie trailers on Youtube and download them in HD 3D to your phone for offline viewing You can download Tubemate here:

I know that the default Android video uploader on the phone won't upload via the cell connection if it's over a certain size, it will say WAITING FOR WIFI, . . . . . HOWEVER.. if you use Opera Mobile, just log into your Youtube account and you can upload the files off your phone via your cell connection that way, works great, I get about a 90% or more successful upload rate.
Yep. It's pretty cool. Any 3D videos are actually automagically tagged with YT3D so you don't even need to add tags yourself.
If uploading from a desktop tags are
yt3d:enable=true
Unless they changed it with the new update
All I know is that when I don't add the tag, it doesn't play using the 3D player. And when I just add "yt3d" it does.

This is a 3D video of 3D RC helicopter flying. I set up with trees in the back ground for a better 3D effect but was not pleased with the result. The video was added to a RC manufacturer's web site so they liked it.
I need advice to get better 3D effects
