[Q] n115 and xda premium - Nook Color Themes and Apps

I updated to 115 and xda premium just sits at the splash screen. I updated via rom manager with gapps and then applied the oc kernel. Dalvik cache was cleared. Anyone else having this problem?

Sorry, no issues here running the same setup from SD card. Did you try clearing data for the app?

Worked for me, but it just crashed like it always does shortly after I log in.

Are you sure you are using the premium app? I know this happens on the free app if you don't have an IMEI number but never heard of it on the premium app.

Correction it works now, it must of just been a connection issue. However, the browser was working on the XDA forums just not the premium APP.

google app restore problems

ok i may be the only one with this but, when I go from celbfroyo to kaosfroyo none of my settings or apps restore through googles built in backup system.

I had zero problems with this same process until I flashed KaosFroyo 38.
well i used kaos from v24 till v35 then i wanted to try one of the others been on either celbfroyo or nonsesikel but everytime i go back to kaos nothing ever restores.
Sometimes you have to clear the settings for the market.

help anyone? how come my phone keeps on saying "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly.Please try again".. why is this happening? its just going to pop out and keeps on repeating..
Reflash the rom! You should be good after that. Happened to me on cm7 but I went back to 2.2 after a while.

at first i odin'd,then i flashed trigger 1.8.2 ... it all went good but whenever i hit contacts it always keep on saying that error... and then after that i flashed nerov5 just to test if its going to have the same problem and it did..

Are you using an aftermarket launcher like ADW or Launcher Pro?
I'm on trigger and have no problems. Are you sure you cleared cache and wiped data before you flashed the rom?

when i flashed Trigger there is Launcher pro already.. but this is my first time getting an error like this

yes i did that but i dont know why that error keeps on popping out. and this is my first time having an error like that
I am getting the same pop up, and force closes, whenever I try to place a call. Started maybe a week ago or so, and can't recall what may have caused this. Long story short, I've have gone through my contacts an removed any dash, plus, and #1's I could find no luck. Reflashed BionixV1.3.1 and added OVERSTOCK 2.1 and still having call issues. I'm sure it's unrelated to the rom. Any ideas anyone?

Not sure when you guys downloaded it. They could have had a server problem. I would redownload the rom and flash it again. Odin back to stock if needed. I have no issues.
Edit: Have you checked the thread to see if anyone else had that problem?
When all else fails, go extreme.
ODIN to stock, root, wipe, re-download the rom (bad download, did you check the MD5?), then flash again.
The rom is perfect... that I know.
Don't be afraid of going back to stock. very easy. check my signature if you need help.
ok my problem was solved now.. the first thing i did was to odin,then upgraded to 2.2 froyo using mini kies and rooted my phone. and flashed Trigger and works perfectly.. i guess it's Titanium Backup causing the errors. That's why i deleted my old Backups and started a new one..and rebooted my phone ,checked contacts if the error still shows but it was gone already ..

Check your SMTP server settings.
That was the first thing I did. Tried them every way possible. May go back to different rom.
Are you on wifi trying to send?
I only ask because I had the same issue, until I realized my gmail smtp settings wouldn't work while I was using my home wifi network.

What rom you're using has no bearing on it. Your settings are incorrect.

Apps freezing & crashing on ICS. Anyone else ??

Visual Voicemail freezes my phone for about 60 seconds, then a message pops up, " Unfortunately visual voicemail has stopped."
This has also happened with a couple other apps which i can't remember exactly which ones atm.
Anyone else experience this or have advice on how to fix?
I'm experiencing the same problems since I upgraded to Samsung official ICS rom and rooted it. My Google apps are unstable and force closing all the time and making my phone ridiculously slow cause it waiting for it to respond which never happened.

All stock, no rom, flash or root.

Since you're rooted. You must have CWM. Go in recovery(Google the steps), wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and fix permissions.
Then you should be good

Are you using the hacked VVM app? I was and was experiencing the same thing. Deleted it and just downloaded from the app store and its working smooth for me.

General diagnostic steps:
1) Wipe cache and dalvik-cache
2) Check if problem is fixed
3) Wipe data
4) Check if problem is fixed
5) Flash RUU (if you're unlocked/rooted I don't recommend doing this just yet and let the kind people here diagnose further)
6) Check if problem is fixed

You could also try an alternate, third party sms app such as Handcent and set it to default. I can't guarantee it will work, but it's worth trying before wiping your data.

I definitely agree. Wiping /data is a pain.
Seeing as how the op said he was STOCK, I'm guessing it's an issue with either the phone itself, your SIM, or your service in the area. Check with VZ about anyone reporting issues in your area with receiving sms and mms messages and if there's no reports, go to a VZ store and have them look into it.
Tried 3rd party app no dice. Already factory reset once to fix location bug. Will keep trying stuff
