Adobe question? - Thunderbolt Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My problem and question is this : are links in a .PDF file working for others using the adobe PDF viewer for mobile devices?
By links I do NOT mean URL addresses but rather links to pages.
I'm don't know if this features is unavailable on the mobile version, if its a rooting issue or I'm doing something wrong.
I tried my wife's fascinate with no luck aswell. I've tried other viewers no luck.
The files are company distributed and work fine on a PC. The links work on another guys iPhone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA.

I had the same problem with Adobe viewer, but there are other programs that will read pdf files although I'm not sure if they allow links or not. Check out the office apps

BBC news website embedded video issue

I've been trying to play video on BBC news website with no success. The loading circle just rotates forever. Funny thing is when I first got my sgs2 it played no problem whatsoever. Also BBC iplayer main website won't let me access it, says my phone not supported. Once again I think I could access it before I upgraded from 2.3.3. Java is enabled in my settings and plugins are allowed. I'm unrooted on stock voda 2.3.5. Anybody else sufferring from this problem?

All working fine here... do u have flash installed OK?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
Yeah, running latest version of flash downloaded from market. Using stock browser. Tried uninstalling flash updates, but made no difference. The red ring just keeps whirling round forever and video never plays. All very odd. Every other site I've tried video works fine e.g. sky news, t3, stuff TV, itv news, gadget show. Even BBC one watchlive worked. I guess it must be my settings somehow? But i've no idea what exactly.

Yes, I have the problem as well. It was one of the good things about the S2 that I could watch all the BBC news videos. I guess the BBC have changed something.
I have just tested and it now works OK using Dolphin HD Browser (and you can watch full screen unlike on the stock browser)
Also the videos work on the official BBC news app
I agree, the first thing I checked in shop on demo gs2 was flash playing video on BBC news website. The speed and smoothness really impressed me. Coming from HTC legend ARMv6 where flash was crap, it helped make my decision to buy gs2 final. At least now I know someone else has this issue and shares my disappointment.
Good to know it still works with dolphin hd though. But for me I'd rather stick to stock browser because if hardware acceleration. So the fact it doesn't work anymore is pretty frustrating.:-(

i have solved this problem by using an older version of adobe flash that i still had backed up in titanium backup. but i don't know if thats the best solution since then you won't get the newest versions and security fixes.....
Using titanium backup to roll back flash might be an option. Although i'm pretty sure I would need root. Interestingly I have uninstalled all flash updates back to 10.1 and it made no difference. So maybe flash isn't the problem?

Can you give me a link to try?
I know that the bbc have recently moved over to HTML5 video content.

This is probably the issue though I have surfed through the site and it is all working for me.

Interesting article. I presume you want the link to the web page I'm having trouble with? It's just the BBC news front/home page.

If I've picked you up wrong let me know.
Also as I stated earlier BBC iplayer (WEBSITE) says my phone isn't supported. Does that also work for you? Thanks for your input

Tubemate, using on CM9 without a problem.
MoPhoACTV Initiative
Maybe try using a user script (usersscripts.org) which allows you to download the video, possibly also the audio track? These are snippets of Javascript which inject themselves into specific sites when you're viewing them. I use one named "YouTube to MP4" on Firefox on my desktop PC. Since the Android browsers are fully functional I expect the same option applies there.
For this option, Firefox requires Greasemonkey addon, but I believe it's a native option on Opera and Chrome.
Also try tubeGod(tubex) its no longer in the market so you have to search for it(its free so no problems)
Much better quality than tubemate imo and mp3s dont come as large as tubemate either
I extracted the audio from a video a few days ago
Tubemate(17mb)
TubeGod(1mb)

Tubemate's file size is big because it downloads the whole MP4 video and renames it as MP3.

OfficeSuite Pro is on sale right now: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobisystems.editor.office_registered
Update: Not anymore.
I use the latest updated version of thinkoffice. Smartoffice opens large pdf files really fast and its smoother but thinkoffice seems to handle doc files the best. Also smartoffice gets dumb when your trying to edit your doc file.....?!? I can't double tab and select cut or copy paste. I have to go through the menu and that can be an inconvenience for some. Hope this helps.

Yes, i need an app for android. Also, can you share the name of an app for pc as well? Thank you for all of your help.
Tubemate downloads videos from youtube.
An add on from playstore when installed can download mp3 as well.
Can't recollect the name but it shoots up while making selection for mp3 in tubemate menu.
I use downloadhelper, a extension for firefox. My mate has an app that downloads just the audio in mp3, if needed \i will ask him the name.
Cheers
