This is my part 1 review of the View 4G. It is a completely unbiased review. It is only the first part because there is soooo much to cover.
Part 2 should be coming either tomorrow or Thursday.
Enjoy!

Here is part 2, details of the 3G data speed issue and Antennagate 2 lie within...
Great review, man, I wanted to buy a Flyer, but i'm not sure about this, you help me make up my mind.
just one question, do the scribe Apps "force quit" a lot like some guy said?

A surprisingly positive review from the WSJ, home of Walt MossAPPLEberg.
The Evo 3D: More Than Meets the Crossed Eye
WOW! I'm really shocked by the battery review, Almost able to make it through an entire work day with 4G on but also while tethering. Sounds actually like a much improved battery system.
Maybe because this wasn't reviewed by Mossberg lol
But good to hear. Mossberg is very Apple biased, so I doubt you'll get a fair review from him.
Im more inclined to believe this than the review engadget put out. However, I'll wait for the one review that really matters before coming to my own conclusions- my own.

A lot of the hype on this phone will be centered on its 3-D capabilities. But take away the 3-D and you still have one of the better smartphones in the market.

The 3D is a throw in. The specs alone on this phone will make it the best one on the market at release date. I prefer HTC over samsung but not everybody does. Could be the best phone this year as well like the OG EVO. If SGSII is the best phone then thats great too, remember the other manufacturers are not the enemy, crapple is!
This reviewer likes the 3D, but not voice quality. Being that this isn't the 1st review to say voice isn't so good, I'm thinking I might have to wait for week ro 2 after launch to see if I want to get this phone.
On any phone, voice quality is very important to me being it's a phone before it is anything else.

Or how about mine , I could be considered bias towards Sprint but I'm going to do this as objectively and impartial as possible.

Nope... they are just another choice.
Dont like it, dont buy it.
After all the reviews that were good and bad, I always said this:
The is no better Review than your own Review. Becuase you will notice if the phone is really what you want.
So for thoose who recivied the phone today or will get the phone today. Let's start this tread..
Ps. My phone just got the destination scan so my review will be later today.
The phone is truly awesome. I think any company or organization that gave this phone a bad review should be ashamed of themselves. If Engadget truly gave this phone a bad review then they are a waste. I will never read any of their reviews again. Its is everything I thought it would be and more. The 3D photos are amazing. Love it!

It's all relative though. Of course everyone on this forum is going to love this phone. We are all paying hard earned money to purchase this product. Engadget receives these devices for free, and aren't really partial towards the Evo 3D.
Not true... I have no "bias" I want it to be awesome sure, but if its not ill just take it back and wait.

the battery life absolutely sucks on this one. What do they expect, everybody to get spare batteries or extended batteries that make the phone look like a pregnant sumbitch. Totally disappointed with 4g data too. Never having owned a 4G device on sprint before, I was hoping to see a nice speed boost but the speeds are barely any improvement. 3D is wonderful, not as good as the 3D on my samsung 3DTV, but looks better than the 3DS. since its for my wife, I guess I will keep it. If it was for me, it would have been on its way back.

If you don't like it, you must be totally biased. Users here only want reviews that worship the phone. C'mon... get with the program.
Comparing with my thunderbolt, the synth. benchmarks all have the TB getting better scores. But thats probably because I have it o/cd at 1.4Ghz. I have a sense 3.0 rom on the TB, which seems smoother than the UI on the Evo 3d, but that may be just me!!!

Why is everyone so obsessed with benchmark scores. For crying out loud its a damn cell phone. Some of you guys acting like you'll be using the phone to find the cure for cancer lol.
My co-worker has the TB stock and she is always complaining about battery life. If I can get 14 hrs from the e3d, then I'm golden

I would definitely say it's because you have it o/cd. However, comparing Sprint's 4G Network to Verizon's LTE is like comparing apples to steak.

NOT true because with the sprint guarantee we get all our monies back
Going to give my first impressions. Phone seems longer than the OG Evo. Battery cover is kind of annoying, thought I was going to break it. 3D camera actually works pretty well. Played some 3D Spiderman and was impressed with it. Accidentally hit the home button while playing and it kicked me back to the home screen, but without disabling 3D so the UI was freaking out and trying to display 3D. Will edit with more as I use it
I think I read that tvs that switch to 3d draw almost twice as much power, so the battery is no surprise, interested in 2d battery life, how long it lasts with normal use.
Uhh, hardly. Many 3D fanboys were whining: "don't have opinions based on phone site reviews cause 'yours is the only one that counts''...bull**** of course.
SO..here's exactly that: a thread for those with the device to post their 'real world's impressions'.
Lets hear 'em.

I'd like to wait for the SGSII but I fear that it won't come out for a while. I don't think I can wait until the holidays to upgrade my phone. Sprint doesn't normally put out a bunch of high-powered phones at the same time. I think the Evo 3d and the Photon (or whatever it's called) is going to be it for a while. The Photon is out for me because of the locked bootloader.
Meaning what? I expect it to "suck" so U might as well say it?!
I've had HTC phones for over 11 years. Huge fan. I'm the oldest HTC "fanboy" here. What are you talking about?
My point is we have too many forum Nazi's.
I have more of a democratic forum view: open market on views and idea's (def.: forum).
Am I dissaponted HTC hasn't upgraded some things? Yeah! Do I care whether or not that's popular? Ratsass. Same thing I tell my kids: lock into truth first. No filters.
Idiocy= on a Evo 3d forum, is saying a thread where people can give their view of the Evo 3D is WORTHLESS!

Because I am an EVO View owner and I found it interesting so I thought others might as well.
Lol, it's no like this Forum is overloaded with activity
Just saw a Samsung Note in the mall yesterday at a Best Buy Mobile store. Man, that thing is massive. And I thought my HTC EVO was large! Really, a little too big for my tastes. If I had that phone I'd have to use it with a Bluetooth headset, because I just can't see holding it up to my ear.
On a related note, why is is that this Best Buy Mobile store in the mall gets all the best gadgets, even before all the other regular Best Buys in my area? I mean this is the first place I've seen the Note, they had the EVO 3D before everyone else, and they've had an ASUS transformer prime on display for weeks, when none of the other Best Buys even have them in stock? I don't get it.

Haha...your second paragraph saves you here.
I know it was mentioned in another thread that people were going to email HTC pleading for an ICS update. I believe a better option is to write your own review of the HTC Jetstream here - http://www.htc.com/us/tablets/htc-jetstream-att/ - and mention how HTC has neglected to update such an expensive device that customers have signed a two-year contract with.
I am really interested to see what power this can have. I felt like I wrote a rather haughty (and quick) message saying how HTC has sent the wrong message to its community with the neglect it has given this device. My post hasn't been posted yet. I am excited to see if HTC will actually display it given the Negative things I said about their lack of updates and support. Though, I did have good things to say. I do love this device or I wouldn't care so much.
Please, take 5-10 minutes and let them know how you feel.

Wrote my review today. Lets see when it will be published.
Very good.
I like how the Jetstream page linked in the OP is now riddled with reviews that all say something about HTC not updating the device lol! Maybe they will notice. Or, at the very very least, get the idea that if they release a device that a consumer is spending 700+ on, they will update it and be competitive.
Waiting for my EVO LTE has kind of distracted me from my Jetstream. But I'm still hoping HTC does something.
Well here is Engadget's review of the EVO LTE.
Looks like a nice in-depth review.

And here is another review
http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/htc-evo-4g-lte/4505-6452_7-35182267.html
From reading the review, it sounds like the evo lte is up there but not quite at the same bar of performance as the one X. They also mentioned some software glitches. I suppose as with any new device, there will be updates forthcoming as was the case with the original evo.
Sprint's newest flagship follows in the exact footsteps of its similarly specced predecessor, offering up more of the same all around near-excellence. Navigation through the seven customizable homescreens is predictably fast and responsive. It's hard to find much fault with the finesse of the EVO 4G LTE's user experience. Unfortunately, that briskness falls prey to occasional hiccups, as we noticed when the screen froze during an attempt to access the settings menu. We were able to get the device to eventually respond, but those moments of broken fluidity are not exactly few and far between.

She also said the software on the unit she was testing wasn't final. So basically there could be plenty of bugs that we the end user won't ever see because we'll have final software.
^^LOL!! There will also be plenty of bugs the user will see. I fully expect this actually. Had this with the original evo which I got 6 months after release (12/2010). I'm sure this is the case with most phones anyways. Once it's in the field, more bugs are likely to be discovered.
So long as we can get s-off and cm9 on it eventually, i'll be a happy camper.
