Hi guys,
I have had the Galaxy S2 for just over a month now
I have not installed any custom roms. I've just updated it once and then rooted it after that.
I have had very little problems with the phone so far. It would rebooted by itself 2 to 3 times but it worked just fine.
The problem began when I turned my phone off. I can't remember why but I did and when I turned it on again apps would be crashing left right and center.
I pretty much have no access to anything since the crashes occur constantly.
It's the normal crash notification you see on the phone
ie. Sorry! Application xxx (in process xxxx) is not responding
ex.
xxx - TwLauncher
xxxx - com.sec.android.app.twlauncher
Pretty much all the applications that run at startup (including widgets) crash
I would click on "Force close" to get rid of the pop ups but
Logsprovider and Calendar Storage continue to crash making it impossible to use that phone
Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you guys
I would try going into recovery mode and doing a factory reset, should sort it out.

is there no other way? i was hoping there was a way that fixed the problem but also retained my applications and data...
Hey,
I about a month and a half ago upgraded my S2 from Gingerbread to ICS (4.0.4).
Not long had gone and i noticed that my phone freezes too often, maybe twice every two days. In Gingerbread it froze maybe twice every two months, so ofcourse this pisses me off very much.
It freezes on both apps and built-in apps such as Internet. Usually it just freezes on the image i had on at that time or sometimes even a black screen appears. Then after 3-6 minutes an error message appears saying: "*App name here* has stopped working. Close it?" In GB when it would freeze the error message appeared almost instantly.
My question is: What could be causing my phone to freeze so often?
Also i have noticed that my battery life has decreased very much, maybe too much, after the ICS upgrade, so suggestions on what could cause that would also be highly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

I'm not sure what causes this problem, but on my Nexus S wiping data/factory reset helped (settings -> backup & reset)

1. Please state your ROM and kernel.
2. No matter which version you had of Android, FC shouldn't happen (even once in a while) I can't even remember when it happened to me, it means you have a problem.
I'd suggest to do all the 3 wipes and to flash to the most stable ROM which is Wanam.

normally this happens when there are rogue apps / some applications running in the background that use up the resources.
facebook is one of the culprits.
A few days ago my Sony Xperia T (running Jelly Bean 4.2.1) started having a problem - when I select any app to open on my homescreen they are completely unresponsive, the touch registers on the screen but all of them refuse to open. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of to fix the problem, first I turned the device on and off for a punt, which didnt work. Then I went through all my apps to make sure there was nothing out of the ordinary on my device and as far I can tell there isnt. I next installed a task manager app to kill all processes, again this did nothing. I then installed a virus scanner to scan all the files on my phone but nothing was found. I then decided to clear all of the devices files by restoring it, this fixed the problem for about 10 minutes before the problem returned. I then re-installed Jelly Bean 4.2.1 on my device, which again fixed the problem only temporarily. So I have no idea what the problem is, when using the device to do anything else the touch screen is completely responsive, so I have no clue why all my apps just refuse to open.
Any help would be much appreciated.
How about other launchers? Have you tested that?
Hi
My LG G2 mini is acting a bit weird after the OTA update to firmware build KOT49I.A1403689895.
There are 2 main problems:
Sometimes when the phone rings and the answering options are shown, the touch screen stops functioning and I have to lock the phone by pushing the power button and unlock it again before I can answer the call.
When phone is being charged, alarm gets automatically snoozed. This only happens when the mobile is connected to the charger. I've installed another alarm clock app and didn't have the same problem with it.
Neither of these problems existed before the latest update.
I'm not sure if it's happening only to me or it's a bug in the firmware.
I wish I could undo the update. Any ideas?
When that update rolled out?
Mine still use the old firmware..
Hope will be fixed soom from LG..
Problems, too.
I don't know if it's normal, but after the last update (Slovakia) I have got several problems with multitasking. It is kind of impossible to listen to music and browse the internet. The music just shuts down after 10 seconds of browsing the internet. Also sometimes the browser (the normal one and chrome) just shut down and all the phone does is show me the menu with applications out of nowhere.

Solved
Hi
It seems the problem is caused by the feature "detecting OK Google from any screen". To fix the problem open google search app, go to Settings > Voice > "OK Google" Detection and uncheck "From any screen" option.
Hi all,
I've searched but cannot find anyone with this set of problems...
So, brand new swift 2x, turned it on and let it download several ota updates. After the first couple the phone started randomly rebooting, I think in the middle of yet another update process....
Result (when updates stopped and device states 'up to date') is a device that continues to randomly reboot plus other strange problems (eg camera is installed, shows in apps, but is not in drawer and crashes when launched from lock screen).
I suspect something went badly wrong during the updating...but am unsure how to fix it.
Any suggestions?
Edit: should add have wiped cache/factory reset in recovery several times with no improvement
Edit2: aaaand it appears I've some how put this in the wrong section. Admins please feel free to move...and apologies!
Cheers!
