[Q] Change system font size? - Streak 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just got a Dell Streak 5. Really like the 5 inch display. However the default system font size is too small, even smaller than my 4 inch Incredible S. The streak 5 is running the stock froyo 2.2 ROM. Is there a way to change the system font size? or any other custom ROM which supports bigger font display?
Thanks

Maybe you can try changing density?

Streak have default density 160, other WVGA phones have 200.
But you will need root and busybox for this...

Look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=874658
Using High-Logic FontCreator you can change the font size and then set it as a defoult
Try this fonts for example, feel the difference:

I rooted the streak using superoneclick. Then tried font changer, however I can't change the density. The app complains about a missing density parameter.
Luckly, lcd density changer works. The system density is 160 by default, then changed to 220. The phone looks much better now, even though some apps don't scale very well.

Just be aware that the changed density will periodically hang the "phone.apk"

[Q] Possible to set diff LCD density/dpi for Google Map/Navigation app alone?

I love my Dell Streak and I was wondering if it is possible to set a different LCD density setting for Google Map/Navigation alone (on demand)? The current density setting on our Streak make the Google Navigation font/text too small for a 5" LCD. My wife's EVO running Google Nav with the default EVO Density of 240 makes it perfect for using it as a GPS Nav unit while driving.
I noticed that the our Dell Streak's Google Gallery app used a diff "density" settings compared to the other apps that run on our Streak. It looks like the Gallery app used a density of ~240 (guestimate).
I tried app like LCD Density Changer or changing build.prop but those are global density settings. I think a tool/app/program like this will be extremely helpful for us, Streak users, for when we need certain app/program to display larger font/text size (GNav in this case). I guess I am looking for a sort of on demand LCD Density app based on what program/app we are running.
If someone point me to the right direction, may be I can look into it if no such program is available.
Thanks

You may be able to write a task to do this with the Tasker App, but don't quote me on that. I can barely get a basic Tasker task going myself so far.

Its a pretty amazing app but it isnt working on the Streak. It just stretches to fit about half the screen. Anyway to edit it to fit the full screen? The devs of the app arent helping
Any help guys?
I used to use this app.
It was run full screen. I had LCD Density 200.
What about you?

Yea its fixed if its density 200. But i like the default density of 160

[Q] Dialer that scales when LCD density is changed? does it exist?

Hi Guys
I have tweaked my SGS2 quite happily and have had no MAJOR issues..
I like having the LCD density set to around 190 just for the smaller icons.. (they are WAYYY too big as standard)
Is there a Dialer skin that allows the LCD density changes to be reflected? (it looks a bit poo (goes offset))
thanks
Nutmeg
*bump*
I'd like to know how hard it is to skin it myself, or if someone has one available, I set my density to 200 myself, and the dialer looks ridiculous, though everything else seems to scale nicely.
I have it set to 182 and the dialer which scales the best for me is Touchpal dialer! It is free on Market

How to edit a launcher for different DPIs?

Hi all!
Quick question... say I'm running my phone at a DPI of 190, using something like LCD Density Modder for example.
But then, instead of running a stock AOSP launcher, I want to run something like LG's custom UI.
Problem is, everything is scaled incorrectly and all the borders are off... as I assume the launcher is trying to run at a stock 240 DPI.
How would I go about pushing changes to the launchers framework to scale to a 190 DPI?
Thanks!!!

Modified PPI.

I am using Themer on my S4. However I normally have the PPI set to 360 because I prefer the smaller text and icons. By using Themer with the change in PPI it really messes up all of the themes. Is there a way to force the themer app to be at the default 480ppi or to make it work with the different ppi? I have tried to use App Settings to force the Themer app to 480 PPI but that doesnt seem to work.
Invert your steps. Essentially what you want to do is keep your device dpi as default(480) then use app settings and change these apps in app settings to whatever you want(360). Yours may be a bit different I'm basing this off the things I changed on my note II. This way themer gets to be 480 and the rest of your system gets to be 360. You'll have to continue to change other apps that you want to a lower dpi however so it is more work.
Heres what I changed:
android system
application installer
flashbarservice
settings
settings storage
systemui
