I've noticed that during the phone calls there is a background noise from the speaker. If there is silence in the room i can hear it clearly, and it's bothering.
If I turn down the multimedia volume during a call NOT with the key on the edge, but opening the "Audio" menĂ¹ the noise disappear.
It seems to be a software problem/bug.. Is there a way to fix or reduce it?
Thanks, and sorry for my bad bad bad english

I can somewhat frequently hear a slight "hum" or "buzz" after interacting with the UI- For example clicking a link in the browser will play the short click sound and then there will be the soft buzz for 3-4 seconds after
It's speaker related as if it's muted it doesn't happen. but if the volume is right down it does.
Anyone else notice this? Is it normal? I'm sure in a noisy environment I wouldn't notice at all, and it isn't noticible ifplaying anything longer than a few seconds.
Under settings>sound>volume,
there are 4 types.
i only know 3 of them.
"incoming call" is the ringtone volume when the phone receive a call
"Media" is volume of apps, games, music player etc
"notification" is the notification sound like sms, reminder, calender etc
but what is "system" sound?
i notice that the system sound is related to the camera sound,
if i turn system sound all the way down to minimum, the camera focus and shutter sound gets turn off. (i love it that way)
as much as i like to camera shutter sound to be off, i am worried that i might mute some other "important" system sounds, so may i know what are the apps that are related by the system sound?
also, there seem to be many tutorial on how to mute camera sound, why is that needed if this simple way of turning system volume off can do the trick? perhaps is because it cause more harm than good? (such as muting other "important" apps sound)
Hmm....no reply from anyone.
no one knows the answer? or this is too stupid question?
anyway, i left the system volume off for few days now, it seems normal,
viber notification sound still on, only difference so far is the screenshot sound is muted as well.
for fyi for any one who is interested
hello is thier anyway to set the gains of the volume for voice calls?
the sound coming from the ear piece and speakerphone of the sgs3 is kinda low when on voice call, even when using extended volume feature (whic i hate need to press it everytime when talking)
for movies and music speakerphone its loud already (volume+ helps alot too) but for in-call/voice call its very low, having hard time talking to anyone when out in the public
need to find a way to adjust the voice call volume higher then it is now (already max everything)
When you call someone, to the right of their picture icon, there is a little speaker icon. Press that, and it enables a "volume boost".
Hi, when i am listening to music on my head phones and a text comes through it defaults to this loud beeping noise. If i play around with the volume/sounds long enough it will change to the notification sound that i originaly set, and the volume is much lower. The second i unplug my head phones and plug them back in the default loud beeping notification is present.
Is there sonething that i am missing? When listening to music on my headphones I just want the notification noise to be the the sound i initially chose (when my headphones are unplugged) and not the default beeping noise.
I think this is so that it's easier to hear? I'm not sure. I like the beeping noise actually.
Interestingly, in Settings > Message, you'll find the Tone and Vibrate options disabled...
Right now with minimum headset volume in a call, sound is way too loud and distorted. How can I fix/tweak that?
PS: Don't reply "change headset" it's brand new and very good..
