I just flashed the latest version of MIUI and when I try booting into CWM Recovery, I get the following error:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/stl11
(File exists)
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command
E:Can't mount /dev/block/stl11
(File exists)
E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/log
E:Can't open CACHE:recovery/log
E:Can't mount /dev/block/stl11
(File exists)
I've tried reflashing cwm using Odin, but I get the same errors. I have a feeling cwm isn't the issue. Did I do something wrong when flashing the MIUI rom?
Any help is appreciated!
There are several posts in the MIUI thread that explain how to get to the proper CWM.

Thanks, I searched but didn't find anything. I'll check again.
You have to access the CWM either through terminal (su <enter> reboot recovery) or from adb,

Thanks! That worked.
Sorry for asking something that was probably already answered many times, but I've looked and looked and couldn't find anything that worked.
I appreciate your help!

Yeah, it was the same deal here. I have since gone to base ed04 since I didn't get any support here. Just waiting for the kinks in gb to be worked out so I can go to it.

A little info would be helpful. You didn't mention what rom you're on, what you were trying to do, what steps you took, etc. Hard to help without any information.
Last night I decided to install ClockworkMod Touch Recovery 5.8.0.2. I downloaded the image file from this link:
http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.0.2-shooter.img
I then used Flash Image GUI from the Play store to install the recovery. Everything seemed to work just fine. I was able to boot into recovery and the touch features worked.
Today, I created a backup using ROM Manager and it appeared to complete properly. However, now when I boot into Recovery, I get these errors:
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
I've tried re-flashing the regular (non-touch) Recovery using ROM Manager and it installs, but I'm still getting the same errors when I boot into Recovery.
I can boot my phone normally and everything works just fine. I just can't do anything with Recovery anymore so I'm stuck on this ROM until I find a solution.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Try this

And see if it helps.

So based on that post, you're saying my issues lie on the SD Card, and not the internal memory?
Yup

I ended up fixing this by following the steps outlined here to return to 100% stock:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193540
I then ran the Revolutionary tool to get S-OFF and manually flashed ClockworkMod Recovery via Fastboot.
I'm now back in business!
Glad you got back up and running.

Errors in clockworkmode recovery
hi everyone
i did a terrible thing and bought a china tablet !
anyway, i installed a new clockworkmod v6.0.2.8 on the device and since then every time i turn on the device, i got these Errors :
E:can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
i tried these : wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache patition, backup and restore, install update.zip, install zip from sdcard, flashtools, odin (which doesn't work because phone don't have any home button !), heimdall, wiping and installing multiple roms .
i even tried to open the clockworkmod .img file from the trick i find in xda forum and put the extract files into a update.zip and fix the problem !!!
but unfortunately the .img file can't be extracted with :ext4_unpacker and ext2explore . it says : unknown file format !
i know the tablet is not bricked . because if it was, should not turned on and went to clockworkmod instantly and stuck in the errors i just typed !
if anyone knows how can i fix the problem, please help !
i will be Appreciated !
thank u .

Hi guys, I have this problem too after following this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zdhyDky2MI
I've also read this issue is present on stock roms only, but I'm wondering if this could be a potential issue for mounting the /sdcard and use it.

That means that there is something likely wrong with the version of recovery you flashed, I suggest you re-flash your recovery image.

Hi,
I have a nook tablet, and while after I installed cm7 team-b rom, everything
worked fine until the device restart itself and didn't work again
I found this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1513583
that has the solution to my problem, but I couldn't do it because of ADB
any help?

If you're having problem getting ADB setup to work, this method is probably not a good first-choice solution for you. I'd suggest flashing back to stock first using flash_stock_1.4.2.zip at https://github.com/succulent/acclaim_recovery_sdcard, or the repart.img at http://raywaldo.com/2012/06/how-to-un-brick-a-nook-tablet-8gb-or-16gb/.

thanks for your help but it didn't work
there is something wrong with the internal memory
every single time I enter CMW this appears:
E:Can't mount / cache/recovery/command/
E:Can't mount / cache/recovery/log/
E:Can't open / cache/recovery/log/
E:Can't mount / cache/recovery/last_log/
E:Can't open / cache/recovery/last_log/
that's why I asked for the ADB cuz it looks the only solution for my problem
I can make the rom work from the SD card but I can't install it on the internal memory

If you can boot into CWM on SD, I'd suggest that you "wipe /cache" (not /data) to see if that will take care of the /cache error diagnostics you encountered.
If you want to pursue the ADB route, see http://developer.android.com/tools/help/adb.html as well as http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970225.
You might also want to take a look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37515697&postcount=31 for background info on the NT emmc partition structure and cautionary notes on trying to unbricking the device.
My Visual land Prestige 7 stock version was 4.0.4 but i wanted to root it to upgrade it to Cyg 10 Jelly Bean 4.1.2. I ran some scripts in gscript which caused serious problems just for a cwm restore. When restoring, it said failed to format /system. I tried to manually format it and it can't mount anything. What do I do now?
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last-log

I think you may be on the wrong forum.
