Have you checked with Radio Shack yet? They are running a promo where u trade in ur old evo and get at least $100 for it. I traded mine in and they gave me $150 for it since it was in great condition. So $199 - $150 = $50 for the phone with 2-year.

Was curious if anyone has any price information on evo 3d with the 150$ discount. If no official info best guesses would be appreciated.

What's the point? Your guess is as good as anyone elses.
So what's your guess and we can play hot and cold......
the price should be $200
logically just look at the price of the new nexus on sprint. evo 3d should be somewhere between that price and $100 more. But a guess is just a guess. Wait a few weeks for an official announcement
I predict 249.
Tapa tapa tapa
It's going to be at LEAST $250 with new contract. Could be more.
New contract - $199.
2 year upgrade - $249.

Yeah 250$ was my guess as well.

The Epic was $250 when it came out. And it was not that advanced of a phone when it came out when you compare how groundbreaking and revolutionary the EVO 3D is.
Guessing (and hoping) $249 with new 2 yr contract or after $150 upgrade and rebate.

But the Evo 4g was gorundbreaking upon its release and was $199. I see your logic but if you are trying to imply the E3D will be more than $250 based on its specs compared to what is currently on the market because of the epic.... well apples and oranges
$200, $250, or $300 (see droid charge). Doesn't really matter what we guess though, since we don't have any say in the pricing. If you just want to know how much money to save up, then prepare for the worst case scenario.

save up $500. Then you can get the phone plus some accessories. Don't forget the extra battery!!

Samsung is proud of their devices and feel they need to charge more for them. Case in point? See Droid Charge. One of the many reasons why I'll not own another one.

If you are eligible for a 2 year upgrade then you should be paying the same price as a new customer.
The Sensation is $199 with a new contract at Target mobile. Would not surprise me one bit if the 3D follows suit.

^^^^ This.
Might be 249 like the Epic with 2 year, but more likely will be 299ish because of the 3D.
I'm going to have to buy it full price, so i'm hoping its not more than 600.
199$ new contract I heard but I'm adding second line with two year contract

Wow, Sprint really nuked their trade-in program. I was considering buying an EVO 4G LTE at full price (I am not up for an upgrade yet) in exchange for trading in my EVO 3D. But they are only giving $90 for the 3D! Wow. I traded in my EVO for $200 when I got the 3D. Did they gut the program?
I also considered Radio Shack. I know that last year they were also taking $200 for the EVO. But they are only offering $13! Insane.
It's valued for $120 at radioshack

Should've bought your phone from bestbuy. They have the best buyback.
Up to 1 year you can get 40% back from price before carrier discounts (that's $280) and 30% back after one year.
So I'm planning on using my wife's upgrade on the Evo LTE which will be -$200 but then selling the phone back so I get +$280, ending up with $80 of money I can spend on whatever I want.
I basically got $80 for buying the Evo 3D...

When I traded in my OG Evo for the 3D on 7/23/2011, they were giving $150.00 since they were still selling them at the time and were going to sell for the immediate future. Since the Evo 3D is already EOL for Sprint, they really don't need them so they are priced low.
The 3Ds are still selling on Ebay for $150.00+.

i can't post links yet, but check the best buy mobile phone page & look up their buy-back program. It looks like you could get around $100 from Best Buy even if you didn't buy it from them originally...

Its better to sell this phone solo than Sprint buyback.
$150 is a decent rate for a stock, great condition 3D,
+$$ with any extra hardware (SD/Cases/MHL).

Just sold my 3D for 150 and that was mint condition. Tried getting 185. People were offering like 100. Had it on craigslist and a few other places for weeks. Had one offer for 150 initially but turned down cause figured I would get more. Should have taken it and saved time. Oh well. 150 was best I could get.

2nd for buying it from Best Buy. Buyback program is quite handy for those who would upgrade often. I can get at least 150 for mine and I've had it since launch.
Feh, I don't get an upgrade until November. Might as well wait for ICS.
I think it's just this phone. It wasn't that big of a hit and the value on it isn't really good. There are Evo 4G's selling on CL around here for just as much as the 3D's are. When I sold mine I wasn't getting any offers more than like $140 or so because that's what everyone else around here was selling em for.

How much is the buy back program?..I think I heard somewhere it was ~$80?
Thinking about about getting it on the Evo LTE.
to OP
My contract was up April 2013, but like others I called sprint and paid $115(Which will be on next months bill) to move my upgrade date to May so I can get the phone...I didnt think it would work but it did!

So Ive had my Evo for almost two years and my update is not due till August 1st. Is there a way to get my upgrade moved up? What would be the most money efficient way for me to upgrade?
Also what did you do to upgrade and how much did you end up paying?
Thanks in advance!

So you paid $45 and they gave you the E4GLTE? Or did you have to pay for anything else?

You still have to pay for the phone (upgrade price). The $45 he paid was a fee to buyout the rest of the contract. The fee varies based on the remaining length of contract and can only be done after you're already 12 months into your contract, which you are. Call sprint, ask them to let you buy out, then you'll be free to get the phone wherever you'd like

Yes unless you get it from wirefly or amazon. Best Buy was running a good deal just not sure for how long. My upgrade wasn't due until Sept called and got it bumped for $45 preordered through BB traded in my 3d and got my phone for $40.

Sent from my PC36100 using XDA
Depending on what they make you pay to get your upgrade. The EVO trade in was I believe $50 for the phone and $50 for getting another sprint phone. I'm not sure how long that deal is good for though. So if you pay $45 to get your upgrade and get the og EVO deal you would end up paying $145 plus $36 for activation.

If your buy out is $45, then you would spend about $145 for the buy out and the phone as long as you do it before June 2 (I believe the Evo trade in promotion expires on this day).
Phone $199-$50 Evo trade in - $50 credit for Evo trade in = $100 + $45 buyout = $145+tax. That is your out of pocket and then you will get a $50 best buy gift card (which you may or may now be able to use on the phone...depends on your Best Buy mobile employee).
Dont know if this is listed (if it has sorry) since I dont have an LTE and dont follow these threads but Evo line is near and dear to me so I feel like sharing some good news.
Radioshack has the Evo LTE for $149.99 so if you bought your Evo in the last 30 days from Best Buy go back and have them price match it down to radioshacks price. I just did this on my S3 which I bought yesterday and price matched today!
ALSO if you have yet to purchase your LTE and are planning to best buy is offering $50 gift card back when you purchase. Essentially making the phone $100
Spread the word!
Get that $$$
I think we already had about 100 post on the Bestbuy thread regarding double dipping. They don't combine deals.

Actually in the store a tough rep might give you the "double dipping" argument but I called the 800 number. I spoke to customer relations and she informed me price matching is not a promotion it is policy. She sent me a $60 gift card for the hassle.

I just did an early (3-1-2013) for one of my lines. Had to pay $50 bucks, plus give them my Google Nexus Phone (which they gave me $28 for it) and I bought the S3, out the door $264. I was going to buy a new/used one on CL for $400, so that was a killer deal to me....btw I just did it yesterday adn I do have a biz account
The giving them your phone part is the real kick in the nuts. To Hell with that.
You pay the early upgrade fee to make up for the remainder of the subsidy and still have to give the phone up, they are smoking some good crack.
