Fix For Cropping: Here is the best solution for that problem. Download Wallpaper Wizardrii and install it. Open the app and choose the menu button at the bottom. Select "No Scroll" and exit to your home screen. Now you will be able to crop most of the picture so Batman and Mario's heads are cut off for example. The only downside is that panning will be disabled. This is all we can do until Google comes out with a better solution.
Today I spent a long time trying to make my wallpapers not look like **** on this tablet and got pretty frustrated. After doing some Googling, I discovered you can crop pictures to 1920x1408 for the best possible look in both landscape AND portrait. I'd like to share some of my cropped wallpapers I picked up from Wallbase.net now. I'll continue to add more, too. These work very nicely with the default wallpaper setter. Download from the link. I still get the option to crop :/ - I thought I could use the entire pic.
Unfortunately, the only way that would work is if you were okay with Portrait looking all jacked up.
EDIT: I found a quick solution that works with all these wallpapers. I'll add the fix to the OP.

Third Wallpaper Pack. I tried going with 1920x1600 instead and it looks like it works out better because you now have the option to choose more of the top of the picture or bottom. Hope you like them.

All you have to do is place them on your tab, hold down on the the home screen and choose Wallpapers. Then choose Galley. Now pick the wallpaper you'd like to set.

wallbase.net is a good site for Wallpapers. They're all different sizes but if I like one I'll take the 5 seconds to resize it properly in PS. Also interfacelift, but I think everyone knows about that site.
I'm kinda bummed that I have a year's worth of VGA wallpapers collected and now I need to change sizes. Oh well.

I'm having trouble finding high quality wallpapers. Even if the resolution is 960x800 or higher the quality of the image itself may look jaggy when set as wallpaper.look at the preloaded wallpaper and it is crisp and clear and almost pops out of the screen, but all the "hd"wallpapers I have downloaded so far are not very crisp like the preloaded wallpaper once set as such. I'd like a black theme wallpaper too to take advantage of the supposed battery life increase.

so I downloaded a couple wallpapers in 960x800 size. When I go in to set them as my wp it makes me select a cropped area and makes the wp look like crap. How do I make the entire image my wp?

Yeah it was all blurry. I figured out how to properly crop though. I kept trying to pinch to zoom, but then I tried dragging one of the borders and it resized it properly. Looks good now.
On the app market search for "Backgrounds," it has a large amounts of wallpapers to select from.

Me and a few friends all share a secondary dummy Gmail account on our android phones. Picasa is the only option set to sync on the phone, as such we can all dump wallpapers to this Picasa account and they will show up on all of our phones in the gallery. Its a pretty neat trick and one gigabyte of free space is plenty enough room for quite a few wallpapers.
Most of the galleries are 1920x1082 images, but they look great once cropped.
The first gallery is one of my favorite current artists, Audrey Kawasaki. These images are meant to be used with alternate launcher apps like ADW, that allow you to turn off wallpaper scrolling. If you hide the status bar in ADW with one of these images selected it will give your screen a nice rounded look.

I'd been trying to set my pictures as wallpaper but every time I try it, it come up with the square crop suggesting me to adjust where do I need to set as wallpaper. So this end up with only portion of the picture being display as wallpaper.
I'd download some wallpaper specially for x10 mini pro screen size of 240 by 320.
But none of them can set as full screen wallpaper.
1) Any default way to do this that I'm not aware of??
2) If there aren't any, then how about alternative way of doing it to display full screen wallpaper.

Could you direct me to this "wallpaper set"... Is it also an APK which you need to install to run the wallpaper??
FYI: I'd download some wallpapers based on this x10 mini/pro screen resolution 240x320 but I could never be able to set anyone of them as wallpaper in full screen(apart from the top notification section). The phone will ask to crop the picture before it can be display as wallpaper, Thus, this will only showing half of the entire picture.
Wallpaper Set and Save app could be the answer. If you can't find it in the market, just download it thru google.

I'd have to agree with this. It's a very useful app as it has much better cropping options and can resize pictures to fit the screen.

Next pick a photo for each screen.
The 1st is far most left. I made this my video screen.

(I haven't played with Apexi docking draw yet so for now I just used ICS to put all my most frequently used apps.)
4th screen I used as my next most used apps
5th All Games
In MPLW I have 'used lock screen settings' checked.
Everything else unchecked
Transition type a few work, so test to see which you prefer.
I use 'none'
Apex setting I have the following
Number of screens 5
Default screen 3
Automatic grid size - Not checked
Portrait and Landscape I have at -6x8
Horizontal margins small
Vertical margins medium
Preview animation - scale in and out
Wallpaper

I love what you've done. Just a quick question: does the launcher you're on affect multipicture live wallpaper? I have tried it numerous times on Nova launcher, and despite changing settings, I can never get it to display different wallpapers (they're always the same on each screen). Looking forward to your 'how-to' to see if I missed anything- thanks

Hi, I re-sized a lot of wallpapers I had collected from all over the place, and figured I share them. Most are 1440x2560 or 720x1280. There is all kinds of different ones, like nature, abstract, animals, and Abe Lincoln holding a M16 and the Declaration of Independence while riding a grizzly bear. You know nice stuff.
Anyways I'll keep adding more and more over time. Please feel free to post your own wallpapers because I'm always looking for new ones to add to the collection. Thanks

Yeah I see exactly what your saying, I notice that some launchers make you choose like a square shape, but GoLauncher and most of the ICS ROMS I've use lets you chose the actually screen shape, like in the picture. You could use GoLauncher (or most other launchers) to set the wallpaper. I'll see if I can figure out how to put them directly in the wallpaper chooser in Sense, I have desensed my ROM so I'll just flash a Sense ROM and see how that works.

I use a live wallpaper called MultiPicture Live Wallpaper... It allows a single image or a gallery of them. When you select the picture, it does a better job of fitting the image onto the screen. With 720x1280 images it uses the whole image.

Oh they are from all over the place, google images, ROMS, wallpaper websites, CG websites, and many many more.
Ok so I put them on Dropbox, sorry no more bulk downloads for a while until I can find somewhere to host those size files. Dropbox does have a really nice gallery UI though. Enjoy

Not necessarily, this has been a long standing issue because it has to be scrollable and work portrait/landscape, so it's at least screen size, and then some.
I've never been sure how exactly to work it out, but I'll be running Apex Pro anyway once I get it, just until ParanoidAndroid ROM joins the show.

Once I have the device in my hands, I'll look at creating an app. I'll have it use a web service for fetching wallpapers so we can keep it updated.
As for my app development knowledge, I do it for a living professionally, so hopefully I know a bit.

I created a template that matches the selection you're shown when you select an image from the gallery and choose to make it the wallpaper.
Resolution should be 3966x2560 for it to work full in landscape and portrait without showing any black bars.
I'll be uploading some of my wallpapers once I've had a chance to find some decent source material at this resolution.
