Hi xda developers.
I am currently using FreeX10 rom in my X10i.
I was just wondering if it is possible to switch back to original Sony Ericsson 2.1 rom?
Yes it is possible. Use flash tool or SEUS or PC Companion.
Hi...you are wrong.....SEUS and PC Companion cant recognize the phone......the only solution is flash tool with the downloaded official rom.......

They can't? I haven't used them in a while so don't know. So they changed it to detect rooted phones?

I can agree with both of you.
I am using wolf's tw7.1 and wolf's 4.5 on my phones.
My main phone i have flashed to stock using SEUE many time with no problem but my other phone it just says that it has current firmware.
On that phone i falshed to an older firmware hopping SEUE would detect it with no go.
So in the end one phone flashs perfect and then 2 min later go to do my other phonen nothing so i always have to use flashtools to fix it.

can you explain? I am very new to these kind of techie things.
Just use sony ericsson PC companions repair function. Its like having your phone new again.

You sure that'll work? At the end of the day I get an error when SEUS/PC Companion finished the download and wanted to install.
So what I do is use the Global Generic 2.1.A.0.435 Firmware and flash it using FlashTool 0.2.6. I think that should make it official rite?

Yes, there is a thread somewhere with a detailed guide on how to use flashtool. Just search for "flashtool guide".
You can also use Pcc or SEUS if you want, and that's fine, but I suggest you learn how to use flashtool just in case something nasty happens in the future. Flashtool isn't really that complicated.

still same
Have you installed gordonsgate which comes with flashtool? Have you installed SE companion?
If not, then install them, make sure the pc is rebooted and then close down the SE companion (or else it interferes with flashtool and starts doing things at the same time flashtool is trying).
Remember, in order to flash your phone it must be switched off. Hold the back key as you plug in the usb cable until it tells you to release it.

Hi.
My X10 mini is dying! So I figured I might as well go back to the place I bought the phone and complain. So... to make the phone look as ordinary as possible... How do I get the regular stock rom back? I have CWM recovery 5.0.2.7 installed. I tried just using sony pc companion, but... no go... it wanted me to download something from m.sonyericsson.com/backup using my phone, but I just get a message saying "Unsupported". I'm guessing the browsers header is rating me out...
Use seus to come back the stock rom

you need to flash a original u20 .ftf and then it will be recognized by PC Companion you will find one by googlin' or send me message ill send it
Stock u20 ftf is here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125587
And don't forget to relock the bootloader if you have unlocked it. If they find an unlocked bootloader your warranty is void.

Hi I am currently on a custom rom based on ICS. Since installing the custom rom I cannot connect my device to PC companion. Before rooting I backed up my contacts and other files. Its essential that I get the back up loaded on to my phone. I cannot flash the stock rom because my device wont stay in flash mode for long enough to flash. This means I cannot get my data and sync with Google Drive then go back to my rom. Any ideas on what I can do? I've searched for dbk un packers but no luck.
Thanks
