OS there an N64 emulator that runs going on the 3vo cuz N64oid runs like crap. It keeps lagging. I thought with this phone we should be able to run stuff like that with no problem?

N64oid hasn't been updated to be very compatible with the Evo 3d, is what the general consensus is as far as I've read. It'll be a little before the author of the program updates it for us.
There is already a thread about this.
Please use a search button.
as for a answer
The emulator is old and isn't optimized for the snapdragon/adreno 220 chipset.

I did do a search and nothing came up about the evo 3d and n64 emulator. I understand about the search function of these forums. Could you please post the link to this thread for me so I can get info from it?

N64oid, current $3.99 on slideme marketplace (aka http://www.slideme.org).
I wonder how it'll work on the EVO 3D. Coming from the samsung epic, it worked VERY well, but the lack of Wiimote support killed the wonders of multiplayer fun.
Anyone else excited to relive their childhood? Can't wait for some Bomberman 64.

You can wait until he starts charging again. The price increase will occur when he uploads the updated version. Or you can use it now and just buy one of his other apps when they also start to charge.

Generally they are a format that matches the emulator, In this case .v64 or .z64 are the two types I run across online. For example for NESoid they usually are .nes
Side note. YAY EMULATOR!

Yes, they support most. The wiimote works with any cm based phone, but we need to see if it works on our phones once we get root.
Edit: you can map your own keys.

I simply can not believe your allowed to still be posting apk's for people making claims that are simply not true unless you have changed your ways from before. I've read the fpse forums and it seems tough to understand how to get BIOS loading to work.
For the record, I'm using an unlicensed copy with sound disabled to see if I like the app enough to pay for it.
Any time I try to load a BIOS then restart any particular ISO, it FC's the app. Then trying it again instantly FC's. I have to uninstall the app and reinstall for it to go back to HLE mode.
Is there really a performance difference b/w HLE and BIOS mode? Most games I've tried run just fine in HLE, but I'd like to be able to save/load state, which requires BIOS mode. I'm just not having luck getting that to work correctly.
Fpse should ask for bios as soon as you load it the first time. I didn't even know you could run roms without it.
Download this file and put it in your psx folder or wherever you have your roms. Load it up and everything should run fine.

Okay, I'll try that BIOS file. I have one that I've used for years with emulators on the PC and just assumed that would work. I'll report back. Thanks.
Edit: Looks like the BIOS file I was using wasn't good or something. The one you linked has all of the games I tried working, along with working save/load! Time to buy the app now.
BTW, Does the OpenGL plugin work well for you? When I select it, it slows the games down way too much.
Just playing devils advocate here but if you had initially purchased the app wouldn't that give you tech support to resolve your issue?
Well it's kind of a chicken and egg deal. I started researching the app and found it had mixed issues, so I wanted to try before buying.

For some games you need to edit build.prop to change phone model, for others disable the hardware overlay in developer options. Keep in mind that no matter how great CMX is running, it is still a nightly and a lot of polish is still needed

This. Its easy enough to fool the play store into thinking you are compatible
Oh sorry I forgot to also mention chainfire, the things that guy has done with older hardware like the htc Leo is crazy. He has an app called chainfire3d that let's you load plugin drivers and if you decide to get the paid version it has his market enabler

Your probably right. Did scan it with avg, but that's not really saying a whole lot.
No push ads or anything, but all the malicious malware worth its salt is geared towards stealing financial info these days.
Idk if I'd go out of my way to modify a game for people who are too cheap to buy it from the market though. In our case we can't even buy it.
Hoping it is just an apk that was uploaded by a normal person.

Never, my collection is treasured, I have an original Dreamcast that allows for CDR. I have Half Life and Propeller Arena. If they brought Propeller Arena to Android, I would buy it in an instant, amazing game for the time
