Does anyone know if someone is in the process of porting CyanogenMod to the Atrix, since it is now possible

I would have to disagree ... I heard roms aren't coming out until windows phone 7 is released cause the source code and drivers are congruent to development. Also people are not developing roms anymore cause stock is better. And one more thing our bootloader is encrypted so no custom roms. Sorry. Might you have to switch back to the droid if you want roms now!

Yeah, that was what we thought at first. Now it's ok though.. you just need to get Verizon to give you more 3G's to put on the GB's so that your apps will have their unlocked ROMs. For to bootload. er.

F*%k waiting. I flashed the CM6 installer from the Incredible boards a few minutes ago. Koush made the recovery on our phone allow for ports from any other supported device. I have to tell you, 2.2 on this thing F*#$ing flies!

Dude, I think I just bricked my phone trying that! Can you help? I'm not sure if I used the right version of RSDLite for the Fascinate! Is it the same version the D1 uses?

BTW I hacked the front facing camera to work on my CM6... Fring is aawsome. My Quadrant pulls 5300 with my lag fixed vanilla froyo jit etc
You can get the ROM at cyanogen website.. there's like 7 different ones.

maybe a lil too iphone'esque for our eris blood but it looks like it was intended for desire and nexus so maybe soon someone will have it ported, looks like g1 dream section is working on it...
The G1 project has been dropped. Its almost impossible to port it for an MDPI device without the source code

This ROM is AWESOME!! I flashed 'Team D1-MIUI' on my wife's Droid(The original droid) about a month ago and she loves it! It is kinda Iphone'ish, but different.

Is the Desire the same as the droid eris on the MIUI website? There is a link to download MIUI for Desire.. if I try and flash this on the eris , is it going to brick?

Now to answer your question, we really only have one developer working on ROMs for us and thats dragonzkiller. I'm sure we will get an update to our CM9. And apparently he is working on JellyBean but thats not guaranteeing us to be getting it.

The only way we would get that though is if we got someone to do it. dragonzkiller can't do EVERYTHING. lol. I dont see very much else coming out for this phone. All the developers who have ever had it has moved on to something else already.

Oh, Nitro? I believe he has moved on from using the phone but still updates the DX2 ROM if he can. I could be wrong. I think he is MORE involved with other phones though.

I believe you nailed that on the head, but I will go a little further and say he's probally NOT looking to do anything for the X2 aside from the Eclipse. That's not saying he won't ever put out anything more for it but I believe if he does it will be Eclipse update. (Not holding my breath).

Unless you wanna do it yourself. everyone's busy with aosp or just source in general. So short answer:
No way.
We really don't want to run an obsolete OS that was dropped about a year ago and will probably never exist again.

WebOS won't be able to work on this device because we'd have to get RIL working on it first. WebOS is only going to be able to be on devices that are in the official AOSP repository (Nex1, S, GNex, Nex7, Xperia P) or devices that have been fully cracked open for development (HD2, DInc, GS2, etc) so most devices probably won't get WebOS unfortunately

I dont know if this was checked just stumbled upon one old thread where the dev was talking about using old GB lib /driver for ICS for Qualcom.Can the similar thing be attempted on photon... ?
I do not have any knowledge on developing so just asking if this can be done..

I don't think it would help since that's for Qualcomm processors. Besides, we are already using a frankensteined froyo kernel for our ics/jb roms.

I know what you mean. I am going to be trying to figure out what I can do with our stock kernel very soon. I'm syncing the whole android repo as we speak. I have been for a few hours...lol. It will be my first attempt at building from source but I have a bit of background in linux and in android app/game development so I guess Ill give it a shot.
I wish you luck. newer drivers would be a great help to this community and the photon 4g in general.
