As of now no permanent solution for this. Either you can do as Mansi has suggested you you can use task killer.
use titanium or anttek to freeze those apps

I have rooted my razr, no issues. One thing i thought that you could do with the rooted phone was uninstall pre-installed apps like, blockbuster, amazon. apps like that. is that not possible. If it is, can somone please give instructions on how to uninstall them. Thanks
You can use Titanium backup, and i suggest you freeze them instead of uninstalling.
Uninstalling stock apps hinder official updates.
How do i freeze them? and will that make it so they dont display in my app drawer?

Exactly! Just open Titanium Backup, go to the apps list and press on the app you want to freeze, in the following popup just press the deactivate-button.
Thanks for the help.
Don't uninstall factory bloat. You *WILL* regret doing it. Use the options to hide most of it, use TitaniumBackup to freeze the rest. You will still be able to take OTA update with no issue, just install Voodoo to keep root.
You don't even need to unfreeze or unroot when an OTA comes out.

All system apps are .apk files. "Freezing" one with titanium backup or doing it manually will change the .apk extension to .bak (back up). Nothing is removed, just deactive. The apps don't run and wont appear in your app tray. They're dormant until unfrozen.
This is beneficial because many apps have ties with system functions or other apps that you don't know about. So if you accidentally break a link just unfreeze the app to fix the problem. Plus you'll need to do so in order to receive an OTA. If you don't the update with either not appear, or fail to install.

I wonder if there is a way to prevent some background processes/apps from running instead of constantly killing them? I don't think about using taks killers as they do the same what I can and they also eat memory. I need them apps to run only when I start them. Then I can manually shut them off like I always do, but I don't want them in the backgound processes. For example, even after resetting the phone, I dont use Google Maps at all, but I can see three processes running in background for no reason. And there is more apps behaving in a same way. Of course I don't wanna delete them, because I use them sometimes, some more often, some less.
Any solutions?

Wrong Section btw (This needs to be in Q&A Section)
And freeze them using Titanium Backup or if you don't use them, uninstall it
If I freeze them will I be able to run them intentionally?

No. You have to defreeze them in order to use tgem
If you are talking about system apps, only way to stop their process I know is to uninstall or freeze them
If talking about non-system app, then simply killing them once will stop their process
I'm talking about system apps of course...

Use Disable Service to disable background services and BE CAREFULL not to disable wrong services. Or programs may not respond to your wishes...
v6 supercharge..
u can try v6 supercharge script..........
grap the script here :-- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
What's it do?
It makes your phone FAST... super snappy with better multitasking!
It rearranges and fixes the OOM Groupings and Priorites and lowmemorykiller values.
So basically, it's a COMPLETE MEMORY MANAGEMENT FIX!
otherwise freezing apps & uninstalling them is left for u...
download the app 'autorun manager' frome market..
disable the apps that you don't want them to run in background...
it is best tool available for this problem..it is realy a great app..
but use it with care...if u disable wrong system app then u might see some force closes..

Anyone have a suggestion to try and stop these 2 apps from constantly starting up on their own and killing my battery? I don't really want to do a full reset and don't know why this is happening. I'm not rooted and don't really have a lot of apps installed.
I have the same problem im i9500

You can try to uninstall their updates and see if it lets you disable them. If it doesn't you will need to root and use Titanium Backup to freeze those applications. I just had to freeze Samsung Link because it was constantly using 50% cpu.

If you do root, you can freeze the app in Titanium Backup. Or get the free app Greenify and block it from access.

Well any solution would need root access including AutoStarts.
JB Moonbreaker is custom ROM, can't be found in Google PlayStore.
What version is your firmware?

If viber is nor srarted it won't start by no event as it needs to be running to get them, you can always exit viber after startup.
Did you check running apps and didn't see it there?

I recommend Disable Service app(also needs root). It's way better than greeify in my opinion. U can disable/enable any services from any app at any time, doesn't matter if its system or installed app
basically app shows up running services in background, by disabling them they won t launch until you enable them.
Also be careful wich services u disable!
Ya disabling is the best idea

Most of the apps will get (force) closed when cleared from recents. Only those with background services need actual "force close" button press. As advised, Greenify might accomplish what you're looking for.

Greenify is completely automated and done in the background. You can set whatever apps you want to close whenever you want.
I don't know of anything else that is as effective as it.
Also I wouldn't really be using these anymore as Android is more than capable of ram management.
Spare ram is wasted ram

Well, that's the risk you take. Most of the killed apps will re-launch themselves automatically, either right away or after a while, when they receive corresponding event/broadcast message. You did not specify why do you want to kill apps in the first place, but generic approach:
1. Greenify (link) - it will kill an app AND prevents automatic restart of an app (doesn't work at 100% though)
2. Disable specific service of an app, so it won't keep restarting (app might be unstable - crash)
3. Uninstall the app and find a better alternative which isn't always running
