[Theme] SE Theme for floyo-0.20 - XPERIA X8 Themes and Apps

Recently, after trying alot of ROMs, I decided to come back to a more battery care system. Because I love the original SE Theme, and because when I tried themes made for other ROMs/versions my X8 crashed, I made this blue theme. I don't know if it works for others, but for floyo-0.20 surely do.
I made two versions:
- one with the original battery icon and
- one with a circle battery
If you like it, you are welcome to use it.

Thanks! I like the floyo-0.20 most too!

can you make SE theme for froyobread? tnx in advance

Post some screens, please!

[Theme] SE Theme for FroyoBread

Seems interesting, but does this framework contains SE stock sliders for unlock/calls or uses the Android ones?

@ vjun: I used stock images, but the sliders are from Floyo. I like more those from Froyo.
@ Coffinator: I can't take screen captures for now because I am calibrating my battery (really ). But the script allows you to revert if you don't like it.
NB. The script it's not mine. The credits goes to him, someone on this forum.
And, BTW: choose SENSE_Stock theme, and reboot. So it worked for me.

Ok, thx, i'll try it.

@ Coffinator: as you know, for floyo-0.20 the battery lasts more than two days
Finally, I finished the calibration and I'm able to post some screenshots. If isn't too late ...

looks great. love the blue of the SE theme!
anyone try it on FLoyo 3.0?
its trying to find the file on the root of the SD card but it located \system\framework\
i teried to force copy but that broke floyo

[WIP] X10 Mini grey theme.

Hi there, after we've got root, we can finally customize our devices!
I've started creating a new (or better to say, editting default) theme. I'm not going to create a fully custom shiny theme with custom widgets design and so on. I just want to get rid of that ugly SE clinic-blue.
I don't have much free time, but i'm going to keep moving to the end )
Now it's about 40-50% ready. There are still a lot of blue, but it's usable. You can try it (as always, at your own risk )) ).
Just put the framework-res.apk into /system/framework/
P.S. I had to recover my device after i've putted framework-res.apk on it for the first time. I think, permissions must be changed to 755 before rebooting. After recover I always change permissions and have no problems )
(one more time: root is needed).

Theme updated. I have mixed it with this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=759320
(look for install instructions!!!)
08.09.2010
Some less blue:
Phone.apk - Incomming call slider, mobile internet on/off icon
DownloadProvider.apk - Download icon
Blue Level = min )))
It's looking pretty nice man, although I'm not confident enough to install it
great job dude goodluck
Yes !
Keep on dude, you'll be the first one to make us a mini framework and so stay in our hearts...forever ;-)
Thx
I'm waiting for it! This blue makes me crazy.. (;
yay, gonna use it when it's 100% finished !
Yay, the blue theme it comes with is disgusting. It'd be even more awesome if you could make it look like the default android theme
Good work mate, well done! Its good to see some people are starting to get somewhere with these phones.
Thats a great improvement, but what about rest of icons ?
I'm sure many others will pickup this idea and make new themes, why not share info on what is where and how you've done this?
Thanks mate!
P.S. I really like new status bar icons, but background should be black like on SENSE-enabled
Could you port this theme please :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742821
Yeah telling us how you're making the theme would be great, or even a link to where you learnt how to make themes.

tnx a lot! I was tired of that ugly SE clinic-blue! great job dude
Is it possibile to have an .apk "grey theme" file with blu original color as background of notification bar? (only this).
So, I like grey, but in this upper bar I think blu is better
Thanks!
PS: great the battery icons that change its colors depending of battery status
Hi dopeless, have you finish this grey theme. I love this grey theme but could you use the icon set with transparent background. It's must be more beautiful with transparent background icons.
Thanks in advance.

Any update on this theme's progress?
Sorry, guys, I was really busy all this time.
Now I have mixed my theme with this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=759320
It seems to be ok now. There is minimum of blue, but it comes not from framework-res file. I'll try to fix it later.
Off-topic question. how do you get the 4 shortcuts in you dock, I can only seem to get 2?
Ignore me, I've done it!
P.S. Great theme!

[MetaMorph Theme] Samsung Lockscreen Clock Comfortaa Font

So I'm a bit of a typography nerd, and lately I've been hooked on the stunning "Comfortaa" font by aajohan (all credit to him for the original font!) and have replaced the system fonts on my phone with Comfortaa, and decided I wanted to replace the samsung lockscreen clock text font too.
Of course, samsung couldn't be like google and just use the Clockopia.ttf font in /system/fonts for their lockscreen, instead they made each number a .png image, in two separate sizes.
So today I finally made my own images using comfortaa, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out, and maybe somebody else will want to use this too.
Anyway, I don't use metamorph, and this is my first time making a metamorph theme, but it seems simple enough, hopefully it works (I don't honestly know, I just modified my framework-res.apk directly.)
And like always...
make a nandroid backup first, and I am absolutely not responsible for anything that happens to your phone because of applying this mod.
cheers, =)
Very nice . Now I'm gonna need to change my font to match. Good work +1 wanna hook up the link to your battery mod?

Didn't work for me but then again I don't really use metamorph all that often. I really like the comforta font though so great idea

Hi,
I made a handful of versions of my battery mod, mostly with the stock international i9000 "matte" version of touchwiz, you can find the thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=758797
I personally don't mind the black & blue color scheme of touchwiz, I just hate the custom "glossy/glass" version that samsung did for only the vibrant.
Cheers, =)

Hi,
Yeah, I don't personally use metamorph, I just know that so many people have so many different themes they prefer to use, so it seemed easier to try and throw a morph together instead of uploading complete pre-compiled versions of framework-res.apk. Its even worse now with so many variations, I'd need one for Eugene's roms, one for Bionix, one for stock JFD and another for stock JI6, then versions for both the stock JFD and JI6 lockscreen mod variations too, lol.
So, anyway, if the morph doesn't work, can someone try to point me in the right direction why?
And of course, you can always do the mod manually too:
download the zip and just extract the 22 png images
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk
open framework-res.apk it with 7-zip, and drag-and-drop my comfortaa images into /res/drawable-hdpi.
adb push ~path_to_modded_file /system/framework/framework-res.apk
then reboot into clockwork recovery, and wipe cache & dalvik-cache
reboot one last time
Cheers, =)
an you tell me what battery you have I like that icon.

Yeah, this Morph doesn't work. Just tried it. Said something about a theme control file missing. Hope this helps you, the purple lock screen looks awsome!
s0niqu3:.
Not having made a morph myself, I am basing this off of just comparing your XMP file to a morph I have applied many times (EVO BlackBar)...
It appears there is nothing wrong.
Not sure why it sin't working. Currently doing a nandroid. Going to try it out as this is a great idea! Surprised it hasn't been done yet. Could go hand-in-hand with the FlipFont.apk thread.

custom framework-res for 2.1

Hi Community
has anyone yet played around with framework-res for 2.1?
i tried a bit.
seems to me that not only the basics but 90%+ of the "theme" (icons, bg, other color giving PNGs) are now located in framework-res.
so basically to change whole theme you need a working framework-res & then search the even fewer (than 1.6) spots left blue ^^
here's my first atempt (yes it's awful, but nontheless good result for my first steps )
though, i do not recomend use this, as i kinda mixed up sth with .9.png, popups kinda look funny sometimes, still haven't found all i broke ^^

ok here we go with how to flash it without startup loop:
basically it is safe to just take an already running installer ^^
i choose Chewitt's theme installer for my purposes.
like his work on x10 & thought it a great installer for themes.
edited a bit, if you like i can give you my package, though i might have to retranslate to english, since i ported it to german for a german forum
give me some minute
edit: here we go
but pay attention! it unsecures your shell, giving a computer or script root in EVERY case ^^
resecuring though can be done by doing step 1 with other chmod value

working perfect in xperia x10 mini pro!!!
I dont know if multiply the same thread makes any sense.
When firmware update will be available for my unit i also update my theme to 2.1.
good job!worked fine on x10 mini..
Do we need to resign the framework-apk before using the installer?
anyone played with /system/media/bootanimation.zip ?
I have start to edit the lockscreen. But its not ready yet.
First pictures
Edit: does anyone know how to change the clock on lockscreen?
my best guess would be to edit the widget provided by se ^^
seems to me perfectly the same ^^
any1 tried?
k that was rubbish ^^
btw, does anyone know where to find the "end call" button?
i found a dummy in SemcPhone, but did not change a thing (since it changes with language i think it to be a drawable xml..)

BTW (and sorry for the offtopic), can you tell wich app are you using to take the screenshots ?? I´ve tried a lot and all of them make the shots unviewable filling the whole picture with distorted and messed lines (even the same apps were working perfect on donut).

i use Droid Explorer on PC...there's a screenshot and even a screencast...
haven't found an app that works on 2.1 mini/pro yet...
wish someone could break the bootloader already so we won't have to painstakingly edit each png file we could find...
i would if i know how...
great work for everyone here!
you guys are brave!
wow! this is amazing! i rly hope u are done with this soon, its gonna be my first priority to download!! good work.
well as i posted previously i already tried to alter DigitalClockWidget.apk
the widget changed, but the lockscreen..
so DigitalClockWidget may not be (the only?) source
and well yes i altered images in ALL folders where i found clockrelated pngs
(there are three if i remember correctly..)
You can do a logcat while activating the lock screen on the phone.. Maybe you have some clues there...
that lock screen looks awesome! but wouldnt it be better if you did it black to go with a black theme I think that would look better, I'm not really fond of blue
EDIT: search for ShootMe in the market for screenshot app

Because i modified Conversations.apk and settings.apk, which changes theme for message and setting menu

Good work
Like me, it's nice
Awesome!!!
Great!! I wanna try it first..
anyone whos using this please tell me if its good and is its stable?
Thanks
This was ported from the x10mini and has some flaws like small lockscreen, on the clock app the buttons are messed up... other than that it looks nice. Thanks, and fix those 2 issues if you can.
Thanks....
Do you used element from my theme?
Very beautiful theme framework, like the drop-down box translucent. If can be made completely transparent task bar for the more popular, thanks for your work.

Anyway ist´s a very nice theme, i love it
thank you worked fine and looks AWESOME!
Nice theme. It works fine on my x8. Great job. But if you have time, please fix the Gtalk setting menu. The fonts color is black. I can even see what is written on the menu . Thanks for your great job here. Love the theme so much..

[THEME][ZIP][Settings.apk 2.2+]

originally posted an earlier version in SimpleStreak thread. In case anyone missed it. just themed a few .png's to give the Streak some flair. themed for mdpi and hdpi, screenshots are mdpi @ 160 dpi. Also reurn to stock .zip available.
Well, my other project: working on an extended power menu is kaput. reboot recovery, not going to happen anytime soon, and just a reboot option would be very difficult, makes just pushing the power button seem so much easier now.
Anyways: next projext: Honeycomb themed DeskClock! Cheers!
Thanks for the theme. It looks like this zip is a bit different from the original in the SimpleStreak thread? I have attached a screenshot of my phone with the original from that thread, used on Stock 351.
actually, I think I originally only focused on one res either mdpi or hdpi, I forget, but yeah it is updated and I themed the running applications tab as well.
nice screenie, looks like you have a 7+"streak,
oh and BTW: yesterday I went back to 2.2 deleted install-recovery.sh before rebooting, and still no luck, I know I have done it once before on like streakdroid 1.4.6, but my idea of an extended power menu would be a little too involved for me. I'll be more than happy to just power down normally.

I just stitched the screenshots together with IrfanView, it has a create panorama feature I used to give an overview of the entire menu without duplication.
Wow, looks great! Thanks for sharing!
I did have a moments pause to figure out what to do with the ZIP file. (Just flash ZIP with StreakMod recovery). I had it unzipped, looking through the META-INF, saying WTF in my head... Then I guess I wised up.
Any way you can theme up a transparent notifications tray for SimpleStreak?
Good looking stuff. Anyway you can make a transparent notification tray for SD1.9.1?
sure ,not sure which one you are referring to, post a screenshot and circle it. thanks.
We would like at this point the transparent theme for Settings.apk, missing only one
sure, just post which screen you cant make transparent and I'll have a look.
