Lately I've been seeing modded miui music players named as walkman player, well finally I got the original one,
Step I: Download the walkman ''semcmusic.apk'' from this link ---> http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5YZEISSX
Step II: Backup ur stock ''semcmusic.apk'' or whatever ur rom offers..
Step III: Push the download ''semcmusic.apk'' to /system/app folder using rootexplorer.
Step IV: Give permissions like following and reboot!

U've to move it to /system/app then give the permission as mentioned above and then reboot, icon will show up after the reboot....

Xperia mini style Walkman mod
Hi!
I edited the graphics of this Walkman app and made it similar to Xperia mini's music player. All Walkman logos removed. Its not completely same as Xperia mini's but similar.
The name in the app drawer will be Music Player and the icon is of Xperia mini music player. Apart from that, the other changes can be seen in these screenshots.
How to install?
Download the APK and copy to SD card
Copy to /system
Set permissions to rw-r--r--
Move to /system/app
Reboot phone
I've only tested this on X10 mini pro stock ROM 2.1-update1. Also there is no widget for this app.

if your phone is rooted you can use root explorer just copy the .apk file to system/app then change the permission to r-r-r-wr.... or you can install direct...

This is Arc launcher from Arc themes & Apps thread which i modified it to our X8 with desktop 7 Home screen with faded page indicator and realigned desktop with:-
Dialer
Phonebook
Message
Browser
No more Folder gallery
Changes
Home screen reduced to 3 panel and forgot to mentioned that this launcher need to use addon files like
com.sonyericsson.facebook.proxy_1_impl.jar & com.sonyericsson.facebook.proxy_1_impl.xml so i made into flashable zip to install please wipe cache and dalvik cache before installation starts....

not worked for me.after put it to system/app folder And change permissions not worked too.

I was waiting that too when i was on xGin. Then the the rom died and i've had to restore to stock Stock is very good at the moment, games run very much faster than every custom rom

I downloaded music widget from various threads (all apk were of 788 kB)
So can anyone provide me a solution.
I tried clearing data of both home and music widget.
Also tried installing as normal apk as well as pushing it to system/app and setting permissions.

From your signature i believe you are using CM11 and i have read in many threads that there are problems in working of sony widgets on KK roms which are not sony based
and btw, latest version is 6.2.1.A.0.7 (i am using it) but i dont think it will solve your problem, so sorry
Earlier it was working in cm11 on previous versions of walkman and home .
But I don't know why it's not working now..
May be there's a problem in home apk application package name or any other problem?
Hope someone solve this problem soon

-Open musicwidget.apk with 7zip or winrar
-Delete META-INF Folder
-Decompile it with APK-TOOL
-Compile it
-Sign it
-Finish
