HTC is pretty slick. I Mean it is a bigger battery, but really what would this translate to in battery life, an hr MAX?
(Stock battery is 1730 mAh and this one is 1800 mAh)
Please help me out intelligent XDA people

Yes it is a monster and looks a little ridiculous, but it looks like it will protect your camera lenses when laying the phone down on hard surfaces.

I thought our stock battery was 1730mAh.
1800mAh would be a hardly noticeable increase, wouldn't it? Barely even an hour?

It's still TBA. Hopefully 3500 minimum, maybe 4000
Can s-off come out and play? You run but you can't hide

Im an extended battery enthusiast, but that battery cover makes the phone look hideously ugly. I hope they come out with more choices later on. I liked the E4g extended battery cover design.
And yea 1800 mAh is a scam, I doubt you'd see any noticeable difference.

Im going to suspect a 4000mah battery , if they keep the same ratio as the 1500mah in the EVO 4G . It should prove interesting how they incorporate the power button into the back cover since its on the battery cover. Maybe they will improve on the design LOL

I still don't think it would be a viable 50.00 dollar ugrade, again I'm no genius but what does that translate to a hr difference.....I think turn screen brightness down and turning data off would be better

I'm waiting for the seidio extended battery for 3 d. Don't matter the look....its the power and life of it... Can't wait. Had the 3500 for evo 4g and awesome.

There's a 1900 li polymer on best buys website. Is that the same as the Seidio one?
Li Polymer charges faster and holds better during standby doesnt it?

Not everyone needs a kickstand. So for those who want one then go ahead and buy this "accessory". The End.
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
They need to make it as a backside cover replacement rather than a wrapper case. You'd think thicker battery replacement would include a kickstand with back cover replacement.

Yea, let's not give them more ram, more memory, dual cores, latest version of android, latest (unreleased) version of sense, 3d cameras, bigger battery (both are why there is no kickstand), better screen, better resolution, or anything else new. Let's just give them a kickstand instead.
The quality of the people on this site has dropped dramatically over the past few months.

Hyperion 3500mAh Extended Battery + Cover - Updated - Pics

I just ordered one of these. Has anyone had any experience with this one? The other Hyperion batteries seem to work fine and people are happy with them.
It is $19.99 on Amazon right now

Update:
This battery does NOT cause boot loops. Also NFC is not supported with this battery either.

It takes 5 fully charges/discharges to properly calibrate. So that means at least a whole week.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
I have really only used it for like 2 days and when I was it was really heavy usage. As stated before, it does take a few days to properly calibrate the battery so it probably will last much more than I have been experiencing.
Since I do not have a case that works with the battery on I don't feel comfortable using it during work/school but I will be going on vacation trip to SC which is why I bought the battery.
Here was my first day:
The screen on time is all from playing games:
Thanks, Well I really don't know if get one of those or this one, on amazon search for B002MQUYU6
I want the hyperion because its 3500, but don't know if there is any case that will fit, I think will be harder to get something that fits with that shape..
on the "unbranded batt"I guess will be much easier to get a case.. What do you guys think ??

I'll be getting the SGP Neo Hybrid Ex case which will most likely fit.
It can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/SGP-Samsung-G...=A2SFKRF5TPZMT5&ie=UTF8&qid=1324475378&sr=1-6
Ok I bite the bullet, mine will arrive tomorrow, (I love amazon prime). And this weekend I will goto Vegas.. So, that would work to calibrate the battery ..
BTW: I found another case that might fit. Search on ebay for Taurus Galaxy Case... A bit expensive i think, but it looks nice
Sweet have been waiting for the extended battery thanks op
I received the battery..my initial impressions:
I thought it would feel cheaper than what it actually is, to my surprise the batt feels nice, the backcover sits like the original, but the cover it really feels cheap.
Also the added weight to the phone is really noticeable, but at the same time is welcome.
Something I notice is that sticker of the battery place the + a - on the wrong leads, and this battery runs a bit hotter than the stock one.
Right now is charging and lets see how good it's !!
Any updates?

The bottom piece will snap off. It just has a sticky tape wich makes you think you're about to break something but you won't. Took my phone apart after jumping in the pool with it last week.

My mods

I am pretty pleased with myself, and although none of the ideas are really that original (others have done similar things... SD card thing was done on a Note I, but not quite so elegantly in my opinion), I like how they all came together. I'm sorry for the poor quality pics... family is asleep and I cannot access a decent camera so these came from my PS Vita which is more accessible
Using a Otterbox case I've got a phone with a fairly long battery life and a full size SD slot which is currently supporting a 128gb Kingston SDXC card. It did require some cutting with a dremel, but when the case is on there is very difficult to detect the mods visually. Now there is a slight bump where the battery lies, but it doesn't overly deform the case and the SD card is undetectable. Of course it is heavier, but it is worth the weight to me as my cell coverage at work is nonexistent and the extra battery actually allows me to make it through a 12 hour shift with battery life at the end of the day. Now doing this required my cutting through the portion of the case where the NFC antenna is located, thus no NFC commo right now. For me this is no huge loss as it's something I never use though. Your mileage may vary with this though

Otterbox seems to be using a different polymer for the rubber covering now... It's more... firm (best word I can think of)... Additionally, I cut the original backing tight enough that it is very difficult to remove the battery with that in place. In any case the battery isn't going anywhere.

Well, I know what my next project will be! I am going to do the battery mod with an Otterbox I just traded for. So, its not like I have to pay the $50 for the case. And I already have the dremel... so the only thing i need to buy is the battery. I see that these Mugen batteries are pushing 100 dollars on the bay... would any 6500 mah battery be good enough for very long battery life?
