well, every time I charge my hpone, it just wont reproduce mp3, I get some format problem and I have to reset the phone entirely just to be able to used the music player. I am using Bionix V nextgen 2, but the problem was there with 1.3.1 and 1.3.2 test.
Any help?

done that many times... almost always go back to stock when installing a new rom.
anyways, I am now trying project V and haven't had any issue so far, besides, I am loving the unlock screens (miui specially) and it is fast an good battery life even with stock kernel.
I've had this happen on the STOCK 2.2 Froyo T-Mobile ROM, but have never figured out exactly what combination of things to do in order to cause it.

My phone started rebooting several times. At first I thought it was the custom ROM, but it started happening in ALL roms I tested, specially when I try to test GPS: it just NEVER works. And that also happended with completely different basebands (Tested .49, .52, .54 and .58), 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 ROMs.
My last attempt was to a clean Froyo FreeX10 beta install. Bb .54, Full wipe, etc etc.. For a few hours everything was normal but when I tried GPS (Google app) it restarted and ended up in a boot loop. Removed battery but it continues into loop.
Should I flash SE original ROM again (using SEUS?) to see if works? I'm out of ideas right now, please help!
Arrrgh! It's even worst than I thought. I tried flash Generic version 2.1update1 build 2.1.A.0.435 and the random reboots persists.
Also I noticed some weird things using Wifi, downloads on Marked just doesn't start, get paused like forever... HELP!!!!
I suppose force a repair with seus.and if that doesn't fix it then it might be some hardware issue :/
Sent from my Delorean using a flux capacitor!
Thanks. I even formatted my SD Card but still with problems, I'm thinking about buy a bigger/faster one and maybe another battery, but if it's the phone itself the problem then I'm in trouble.
PS: I tried SEUS but no go :S
sounds like the same problem i and other users have faced, tell me when the phone reboots take the battery out and give the phone a smell, does it smell like burning? mobo has gone
I say remove the GPS app using adb. Then flash a new ROM from scratch. Then install another GPS app.

Ouuuuch! It does! I thought it was the battery dying but in this case should I flash back to stock and use my warranty?

Thanks, didn't even know it was possible, will give it a try but now I think its the mobo
what is moboo?
mobo = mother board
Just FYI, my phone is on technical assistance right now and they informed it will take long because many X10 are having the same issue, it will probably be escalated to SE and I will probably receive a new one
Now let's wait, will report back later.
here's my problem:
when ever i leave phone to be in deepsleep mode,
i cam back to find it looking for GSM signal with no hope, restarting fixing the signal.
tried diffrent roms, CM7, MIUI,with all kind of kernels nothing works
phone condition is fine, did't drop it or hardware issues on it.
was working great for last 6 months, but after i flashed a ton of diffrent CM roms this starts to happen,
my thoughts:
could it be a NVdat.bin issue doing this?
if so, what i can do to let the phone re build fresh ones,
+ i have old backup of EFS folder.
can you share your thoughts please?
I had the same thing happened to me and my friend's phone in the last week. Both running the ported gingerbread roms. Had to Odin back and finally working. Not sure if it was the Rom or something. My phone says it shows a baseband of UVKB5 which is the correct modem.
Finally flashed back to froyo and had it working, now just reflashed a gingerbread rom and it's working again.

will try this option today and give a feedback.
thank u
Edit:
odining back to JFD solved the problem.
Sorry tried a few different roms and coming to wits end
Just wondering which of these is a good stable rom
Tried most recently cm7 and miui the ran good but GPS was wonky at best
Always had to reboot to use
Just wondering what would be a good rom with decent performance that GPS works with.

I think GPS works in Bionix, it is a 2.2 rom by team whiskey. I have never tried it.
I was using cm7 and miui, I liked both, smooth and fast, but minor issues like constant reboot required to get GPS to work. So I'm back on stock deodexed/rooted kb5. GPS works ok, but definitely better than on GB.

In my opinion it doesn't get any better than TeamWhiskey Bionix-v 1.3.1 with Tigers BLood Kernel.
I'm running that. TeamWhiskey has never failed me.
i was on RevolutionRom JVP (gingerbread) with clockworkmod recovery, and i TI Backup'd.... manually wiped data, cache, dalvik, and then installed the simply honey zip file from recovery, and it wiped for me automatically (which was expected) and now during its boot screen where it says "powered bay talon sh kernel", the phone simply goes into a bootloop.
so now my question is, how do i go back to bionix-v (froyo) from the gingerbreaded bootloop? would i have to odin back to stock or something?

If you didn't apply the Gingerbread bootloaders i think you can just ODIN to stock then flash. If you did to the Gingerbread bootloaders I think you have to ODIN the froyo bootloaders then Odin to stock.

NO GB bootloaders are backwards compatible. No need to flash froyo bootloaders.

it really depends on you. im on miui right now because i cant go without gingerbread, but i also liked bionix. it was extremely stable
ya, it's... im also on MIUI, as 2.3 is the only os with proper copy past.... its just hard to get past the hacked drivers....
as far as the gps, i picked up a bt-gps brick that gets 1m accuracy, i can sit up in the window and works great... cost me $20.
ok, is there ANY POSSIBLE WAY to downgrade from the leaked firmware we had to flash for the RUU back to the stock one that came with the phone?
this phone has been utter garbage ever since i've done it (7 hour battery life, down from 15-17 hours...random reboots ALL THE TIME etc) and i'm sick of it, to the point where i'm ready to sell the phone and get something else.
is there ANY way to go back?
It is possible but as far as I know you'll need s-off
Sent from my cm_tenderloin using xda premium
well crap. here's hoping they get a nice method that's proven to work, because i need to drop this crap firmware. these reboots are reaaaaaaally annoying me. just had two within 10 minutes.
unless you have s-off there isnt.
but you should try reflashing the RUU.
I know youve probably heard this so many times but i cannot stress how important it is that you let it finish.
and then install a ROM and you should be fine
poison, i've reflashed the RUU three times already. the initial time, where it hung at the white htc screen after 10 min, i battery pulled, rebooted, and let it finished...
then the second time where it didn't hang, and a third time where it didn't hang, and it went through everything twice.
nope you're stuck here for now... but have you tried doing a full wipe and starting from scratch? I know plenty of people are using the latest leak firmware without any significant issues.
yeah man, i wipe it all..data,cache,dalvik,system,boot etc
my buddy did the leaked firmware and gets like 7 hour battery life too, when both of us got 17 hours pre-leak firmware. so it's not just me
Go back to the Inc for now I'm honestly thinking of it lately, feeling a bit nostalgic of Sense 2.1.
i used my inc with stock sense 1.5 from the froyo upgrade..it was so fast and apps opened instantly. damn good phone!
Or run a gb Rom....all you need to do is flash the sd card fix after installing the Rom and you are good to go. I was having some heat issues before on ics and my phone acted funny , went back to gb and my phone is back to being perfect.

hmm really? so maybe it's a combo of the new firmware and ics? if gb runs fine, that is

Just out of curiosity, what kernel are you using?
whichever kernel the devs make us flash. joel's, nils', etc

Give SebastianFM's kernel a shot. Its been working amazing for me. Most of the weird issues I had were gone after wiping caches and flashing that kernel. I kinda made my own Senseless ROM out of the first couple ICS leaks - its still mostly based off the first 4.0.1 leak, but its playing very nicely with Sebastians kernel.
I find that the kernel generally has much more influence on things like charging, heat, performance, battery life, etc., than the ROM does.
hmm...is there a way to go back to the stock kernel incase it F's things up? cuz i know nils' rom,w hich i'm running now, boots you back to bootloader to install it..
maybe i'll give it a shot. does it help with the constant 1.5 ghz processing speed with screen on?
and are you on new firmware?

yeah, if you're using Nils ROM, it has the boot.img inside the PH98IMG.zip file. So you can open the zip, find PH98IMG.zip, and extract boot.img from it. That is your backup of the kernel that comes with Nils' ROM. You can re-flash this from fastboot if you need it later.
Then, using your file manager, go to /system/lib/modules and make a backup of the .ko files in there, as these are specific to the current kernel. If you do end up rolling back to the stock kernel, you'll need to also go back and restore these modules to get wifi working again with the original kernel.
After you've backed up your modules (just save them to a folder on your SD card or something) just flash Sebastians kernel from recovery. It will then reboot to bootloader and flash the kernel, just like you're used to with your ROM install.
Oh, and yes Sebastians kernel does scale correctly. I use setCPU profiles to set the frequencies I want, and while the min/max frequencies do still jump around all over the place in between the range I've specified, watching the current frequency shows that it does scale in between min and max correctly.
**edit
Also, I'm on hboot/firmware 2.11 from the last OTA. I have not installed the leaked firmware.
thanks man! i'd thank ya but i already used my 8 today lol...so i'm on new leak firmware, would that still work with this kernel then?

I have no way to say so for certain since I haven't flashed that firmware - but this kernel works the best of all the rest so far on my phone. The kernel is based off the kernel FROM the leak though, so my guess is you should have no issues at all.
sweet! thanks, i'll give it a shot soon!

The Problems you've been having sound a lot like the ones I have too. Sebastian's kernel made my phone run real hot. I would stick with either the stock ICS kernel or wipe and flash a GingerBread ROM. I flashed Ineffabilis 1.4 the other day and ran it for a couple days. My phone never hit over 90F. On most of the ICS ROMS my phone would jump over 100F most times
hey guys. Ive been experimenting with all the new roms from shostock to aokp to ultimatum.. I've tried them all. lately my phone started having a weird (random) problem.. Id call people but i can't hear it ring... they cant hear me and I cant hear them but the call does go through. I haven't been able to reproduce it.
I reverted back to gingerbread by way of cwm. did kernel cleaning script, wipe factory, wipe cache, wipe dalvik. then binnacle beta 7. I am experiencing the same problem . i also flashed a new modem. do you think its a hardware issue? i try putting it on speaker phone and no go either but my music resumes right after i end the call. I found a thread online that they seem to be experiencing the same issue but they dont explain what version of android they run very well. I am in an area with excellent signal. btw
http://www.androidpit.com/en/androi...-Speaker-and-mic-problem-when-calling-someone
thanks for any input
I have had that problem. The only time I had it was when I used the wrong Kernel (mic swap vs no mic swap). Im sorry I cant be more helpful. Im sure another more experienced member will help.
Yeah, sounds like you just flashed the wrong kernel at some point. If you haven't been able to reproduce it in a while, it probably just means you flashed back to a good kernel a while ago. So nothing to worry about.
No its not the kernel. I was using the one that came with shostock 2 I didnt do anything fancy with it. and then I flashed back to gingerbread (binnacle beta 7) and used entropys dd included in that and It happened to me as well. I used oding to flash to complete stock and repartitioned.. flashed entropys dd to get root and cwm and now going to try binnacle. Reasoning for flashing to bare stock was maybe 4.0.4 installed a file where the average wipe/data doesnt get to and was interfering.
