my atrix battery died and im stuck in boot loop and cant reflash with rsd because battery is too low
If you plug it in to the wall and right after plugging it in press the power button it should go into charging mode.

it is stuck in boot loop will not go into charge mode
Why did you post the same thread twice with different titles in the same forum within 30 minutes of each other?
Good way to not get help!

this doesn't seem to work. it just goes straight to the boot loop for me.

I cannot seem to get my phone to just go into charge only mode. I haven't been able to for a while, is there a fix for this?

If you're talking about what I think you are, go to Settings, Applications, Development and uncheck Stay Awake. I had the same problem and that seemed to have fixed it.

This will allow for me to turn the phone off and plug in the charger and the phone will go into the "Charging" mode instead of booting up... mine just sits on the motor logo and never goes into that mode... I am using tenfars newest recovery and beta 4 gingerbread... not sure if those could affect this charging mode...

My guess is either 2.3.4 (i'm on the "ota" version and you're on hktw) or being unlocked.
Leaning towards unlock... but who knows. Anyone unlocked not on 2.3.4 have this issue?
Better question. Why are you turning it off to charge it? Just plug it in.

Sometimes u drain your battery to the point it shuts off. And sometimes you want a quicker charge. I don't think he needs to validate why though...
i had the same problem. i would drain the battery accidentally, plug the phone into the charger, and it would hang on the moto logo. i would have to pull the battery after letting it charge for a while and it would boot up.
i'm almost certain all you have to do is go into System Recovery and click on charge mode. i don't think it matters if your phone is plugged in or not. just give it time to reboot on its own.
I am not using the old version of tenfar, I removed that app after putting on the new recovery. I recall the last time I used it though I definitely used the charge mode...

Thanks but system recovery charge mode didn't work either and yea battery pull is and turning it it on without being plugged in is the only way to boot it.
i'm thinking its the unlock. Prior to unlocking I've never experienced such issues before.
I know the title is slightly confusing, but is there any way to make my phone not going into that charging mode when you restart and the battery shows up? I know I can have it go into recovery, but I don't want it to do either,I just want it to go straight into booting up, just like my OG Droid used to do, any help would be greatly appreciated

In other words, if your phone battery dies you want it to boot when you plug it back in instead of going to the charge animation?

YES! EXACTLY! It's a feature i used to hate because of battery calibration issues, but i miss it so much!
Nope you can't (and shouldn't if you could), with the GB update however, once it's in charge mode you can turn the phone off now by pressing the button.

Sadly you can't boot until there is enough charge in the battery.... meaning you have to connect it, then remember to come back and turn it on so you don't miss calls, etc.

On froyo you had to wait 5 minutes, unplug then boot then plug back in. With gingerbread you can boot up right away from charge mode.

How can i run clockwork without turning my phone on? My phone is bootlooping at the moment so i cant turn it on to run System Recovery. When i run recovery from boot the traditional way it only loads the factory recovery...

nevermind i got it sumhow. I dont know how but i got cwm to run one minute when only the factory recovery would run a minute ago.
You just need to plug it in to a wall charger

okay i figured it out. Pull the battery from the phone. Press and hold the down volume buttom while plugging the phone into a wall charger. You should see "fastboot" at the top. Then very quickly almost simultaneously press volume down then volume up it should quickly reboot into clockwork if done right.

You have to use the wall charger to get the MoPho screen and then it will goto the battery icon.
I believe this is a normal function of cwm.

Does anyone else experience this:
On FXP Kernels when phone is plugged in on charge then if you reboot the phone when the screen goes off the phone coonects to flash mode the green light comes on and phone doesn't respond to power button unless its unplugged then switched on.

Yeah, that's normal
So even though nothing is going to get flashed to it, it connects to flash mode automatically and doesn't go to charge just stays in flash mode
